Property Ratings at The Woodlands Apts
I DO NOT recommend moving here. This townhome complex is FAR from luxury. Everything is falling apart and management is not keeping up. We have had so many problems here. Starting when we first moved in, our move in date had already been pushed last second because the previous tenant trashed it. Management did a horrible job at cleaning it and we moved into a space with toothpaste still caked in the bathrooms, kitchen cabinets with food gunked all in them, black toilet bowl bottoms, hair painted over in the baseboards, and more. Not to mention the appliances were broken and a few absolutely disgusting. There is no insulation below kitchen floors (where most of the garages are above) so expect a very cold floor. The screens were broken and or bent in most windows. Our washer broke and it took a month to have it remedied only to finally end up with one that was insanely gross they grabbed from another apartment. Think so much hair, black gunk, lint and hair throughout the dryer, etc. After continued calls and emails, they “cleaned it” but when you run a load your clothes get covered in black gunk that is coming out from the inside of the washing drum. Open it up, and find previous people’s dirty clothes inside. The grounds of this apartment are also a mess. Often the dog waste bins are so overflowing, there is dog waste on the sidewalks, etc. You pay 85 dollars a month for a parking spot only to have other people park in it.
This place sucks, and I really never expected to say it. Since we’ve moved here it was sold couple of times and the current management company is the worst. At lease renewal they complete messed up a ton of detail on our lease and did it last minute to begin with. Maintenance? Non existent, property is gross now. Dog poop that’s not picked up is never cleaned, poop stations never emptied. Take a look at attached pic, this isn’t uncommon. We’ve literally had to ask them 5 times now and it always returns to this. Every poop station on the property is this way. When it snowed, they didn’t clear the property for days, we were about the only community that wasn’t accessible really. Property has parking issues with very few guest spaces that are taken by the residents. There’s zero enforcement of the parking policy so if you have a guest coming, don’t expect to find a guest space. TLDR, look elsewhere unless there are no options left.
Management just changed from Greystar to Avenue5. When we moved in we were told we could hang pictures no problem. Then when we gave notice I asked if I needed to patch the nail holes and they said no worries they would do that during turnover. Nothing in our lease about extra charges at move out yet they charged us for a cleaning charge even though I spent a whole Saturday cleaning the entire apartment. And a carpet cleaning fee. And the picture holes? They are charging us for that too even though we told them of our correspondence with Greystar management. I even asked again if they would let me patch them and they said no cause I may not do it right. So I can’t fix the holes and I was told I could hang pictures without being charged yet I’m getting charged. Very bad customer service. I will never recommend an Avenue5 apartment community to anyone so beware.
Feels like a home not just an apartment
Do not move here, horrible management & over priced!
