Property Ratings at The Wyeth
Really amazing community - the buildings and apartments have character, the management is responsive, the common areas are immaculate, and it’s an easy walk to all kinds of dining, transit, shops, etc.

Thank you for your review. Don't hesitate to reach out to our office if you ever need anything.
Everthing is good except some aspects of my old apartment, that requiere an upgrade at least in the wardrobes of the rooms (old and broken). The maintenance service is good, sometime late reply but in general is ok, and nice common areas like the gym and garden

I have been in this apartment for 5 years now and while property management and maintenance staff have been courteous they haven't been attentive. My bike was stolen in 2020 and because there was no camera installed at the front entrances, I couldn't get pictures to submit my claim. In the recent blizzard in Boston, my family and I were left without heat, no communication with management for two days, and one space heater by day 2 for a 3 bed room house. Maintenance was trying to do their best to communicate, but there was no readiness plan from management to even have back up space heaters. My unit has lost heat twiceover the November through January period and there is no plan in place to provide heat when a tenant is without heat. It is illegal in MA to have residents live below 64 F even when it is a blizzard. There was no source of heat for the first 29 hours and in 48 hours the source of heat was good for one room.
It' the best apartment complex we've ever lived in by a mile.
It’s a beautiful bright unit in a highly maintained and peaceful community environmenf
it all looks good over the internet and communication with the property manager has been very good.
Since Rob came on board the communication with the communication has improved greatly and matters are addressed promptly.
I like living at the Wyeth, but it isn't the same community as it was when we first moved in. By that I mean, it used to feel more personal. When we initially moved into the Wyeth there was a staff person who was super responsive (e.g. answered the phone) and made sure a copy of our utility bill for the prior month was printed and in our mailbox before the first of the month. That hasn't been the case since the staff changed. I no longer receive the bills unless I ask for them but the charge is posted on the portal without any documentation or alert. I used to know our maintenance staff and suddenly Tom disappeared without any notice to the residents at all. And now when I call the office with a question, 99% of the time it goes right to the answering service. Even when I have just walked by the office and seen the staff person at the desk working on his laptop. Once when we'd just spoken and I realized I had another question after I arrived to my unit. Instead of walking back down to the office, I decided to call. And of course, it went to the answering service! What's the point of having a person in an office if you can't ever reach them by phone? Also, very recently residents were bombarded with emails about downloading a new app. I finally downloaded it and the "bulletin board" has two messages, there's a marketplace with discounts, and a way to file a maintenance request without logging into the portal. While this may appear to be a more efficient way to engage the community, it also feels more impersonal. I would expect this level of distance at one of the beehives, but not a community this small.
Great location; great amenities; great modern look; excellent office and maintenance staff....what more could a person ask for?? (Besides a parking garage :)
Quick and easy resolution to the problem. Courteous service. Can't ask for much more.
It is a great community that offers great amenities and is conveniently located.
#1 reason: Dean. But, also these units seem to be well-maintained, attractive, and are well-located.
I like much about it, but there needs to be more done to have the residents respect the trash/recycle situation which is often out of control. And, there needs to be a email list share for the residents to communicate.
It is certainly comfortable! And if you're like and don't own a car, it's highly accommodating because of its location 10-15 minute walk to the T and commuter rail
I enjoy leaving at the Wyeth. In fact, I inquired just last week about any open units because I thought a friend would like it as mush as I do.

I would still recommend the Wyeth, but with the caveat that staff are really relaxed and residents must initiate communication when there's a problem. Unless of course it involves money and then leasing staff are happy to to communicate.

Friendly staff, good location, building and amenities are in good condition. I was also really happy to participate in the community event last month! It is great to be able to meet neighbors.
Tom responded promptly to this request. Within 72 hours the car chargers was working again and he took the time to explain what he'd done to fix it.
The Wyeth has a lot going for it. I enjoy the other residents in my building. I do suspect that the living experience is based on individual engagement. We take pride in where we live and want it to be a good experience, not only for ourselves, but for the community as a whole.
More days than not, living at the Wyeth is ideal. The location is a stone's throw to Davis and Porter Squares, and an easy walk to the Trader Joe's and Whole Foods around Fresh Pond Parkway. The community itself is well appointed, clean, and has plenty of parking off street. The community is also pretty quiet (despite the random screaming matches that happen between couples in my building). The biggest drawback of living at the Wyeth is communication (or lack thereof) with the leasing office staff. First, there are two staff who work in the office. They split the work week. More times than I can count when I've posed a question to the staff person who works earlier in the week, the response is ALWAYS let me run that by the other staff person. So if I pose a question on Monday, I can bet I won't get a response until Thursday. Even when we moved in, they didn't bother to ask about the condition of the unit or provide a checklist for damage. They also did not explain that when you live at the Wyeth you have to pay two different electric bills (one from the Wyeth and another from Eversource). This is after all a "green" community. They wrap your Wyeth electricity bill into your rent to be paid on the first, but you don't actually get a copy of the bill until nearly the 15th of the month. I don't know of any other bill that I pay where I hand over my money before seeing the actual bill. More than once, I have had to call to request a copy of my bill. And the bills don't make sense. Some months you get a "discount" due to the solar panels and other months you don't. As far as I know, the sun shines all year round. We were also told we needed to pay for water and that bill would arrive quarterly. Haven't seen a water bill yet and we've been there six months. The latest is the heat went out and we've had to ask twice for updates on when it would be repaired. We're going on day 6 operating with space heaters that they provided with at least another 5 days ahead before it will be repaired. It's winter in Boston! I want to be clear. The staff are professional, kind people who have been very responsive if you reach out to THEM. They just aren't terribly forthcoming with information otherwise. The community is not super large. How difficult would it be to slip something under a door? Or pick up the phone and call a resident to check in? It's this lack of basic communication that leads me to give the Wyeth an average rating.
During the winter, a bobcat loudly clears snow from 5am - 9am and also in the middle of the night (typically 11pm-2am) in the parking lot - every time the truck backs up, it beeps. It picks up about a handful of snow every time so takes forever (shoveling would be so much faster!) If you want to get any sleep during those hours, do not live here! Upon contacting management, they refused to either turn the beeping off of their vehicles or start clearing later in the morning. Very unresponsive to feedback.
Property Manager at The Wyeth, Responded To This Review
Hello There, We hope you are well. Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. We do our best to provide the best living experience for our residents. We will speak with our snow removal company. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions or concerns. Thank you, The Wyeth
I'm amazed at how quickly the team at the Wyeth responds to all my requests. I've already told my coworker about how great things have been.
Lovely community, safe and well maintained. The amenities meet all my needs.
There's so much to appreciate about the Wyeth community. I personally like that it's small and blends in well with the rest of the residential community. I also appreciate that it's quiet more times than not, that I feel safe, and that when I need something all I have to do is ask.
Apartments are nice and modern. On the other hand, if you could afford rent here you could easily afford to buy a place that is better.
The apartments are a bit over priced. The amount of space is nice and everything looks pretty nice as well. However, the flooring used is very sensitive to water damage, some of the designs of rooms and fixtures is flawed too (light switch layouts are the opposite of what they should be, some rusting although it's a new property). It's nice to have parking available off the road and while every apartment has at least one spot there is also plenty of guest parking. The management companies changed a little under a year ago and they new managers are very nice and get things done pretty efficiently (though things have been in flux until very recently).
