I am the father of an 11yo boy. This is a very safe neighborhood. If I didn't feel safe here, I wouldn't be here. The neighborhood is very nice and clean. McDonalds literally sits in front of my bldg, nice 100yard walk to there. Sheetz across E. Market St. Right along E. Market St so easy access in and out to your unit. Heaps of different restaurants and fun activities for the kids around! Perfect area, pet friendly, Only one minor maintenance issue. Was solved very quickly! I am impressed by the property manager. She seems to go above and beyond and I have expressed this to her regional manager. Like she is really nice and understands from a tenants perspective of things, not the usual other way around. Overall -- I am happpy to report an A+++++++++++ experience :)

It is exciting to see the changes the property has undergone in just a few months, and The Yorklyn is going to continue to look even better!
New management is making lots of changes in efforts to make this location a great one. They came in to a lot of work that needed to be done. Many of these changes appear to be an improvement, but may also justify what existing residents saw as an increase to monthly costs. Renovations could make it worth it. Time will tell. Atmosphere isn't amazing, but you're walking distance from McDonalds and Sheetz and you're right off of Market St with easy access to Rt. 30 and 83. We had our issues when we were there but management was graceful in how they handled them and we ended on positive terms. Communication wasn't 100% at all times, but like I said they came in to a lot and they did make things right in the end. While I wouldn't say they are a 5* right now they've taken what was a 2* and fallen into a 1* location and bumped it up to 3* as of my family's move-out date. Credit where credit is due, you could find worse places.

I have lived here for a few years and while the old management wasn't the greatest as far as fixing things and upkeep, at least they kept the prices decent. The new management has already jacked the rent up hundreds of dollars and they haven't even remodeled anything yet. I'm guessing from looking at thier other properties online that thier plan for this place is more upscale apartments that normal people can't afford.

While we acknowledge that rent prices are climbing due to the current post-covid climate, we also have many great improvement plans in the works. Soon you will see beautiful landscaping as well as updating of the exterior of the buildings with fresh paint, siding as well as patio updates! We are also working on replacing common area carpeting and installing newly updated card/app operated laundry. There are many exciting updates coming to Yorklyn! Stay tuned!
