Like the name implies, this district is home to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Although this neighborhood is a clear choice for students, faculty, and staff, the University District offers allure far beyond the campus. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping options. Boulevard Mall offers over 100 stores selling everything from candles to shoes to candy. There is also an abundance of entertainment available within or near the community.
University District is home to several quirky museums including the Pinball Hall of Fame. SeaQuest Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention Center are also housed in the district. On top of stellar amenities and fun-filled activities, University District is in a prime location. The McCarran International Airport is four minutes from campus and the world-famous Las Vegas Strip is only seven minutes away.

Property Ratings at Tides on Spencer
There were multiple car break in and no security at night to protect the community from car thief.
Management makes up a different excuse for why the swimming pool is closed every week, and that is only when you get under their thin skin enough, and that is usually only to chastise you for calling them out.
If I could 0 stars I would. I've been living here for 9 months and it has been an absolute nightmare. First, my apartment is infested with roaches. I'm pretty sure the entire building is because my neighbors say they have them too and can't get rid of them. Management has a pest service add-on that costs $2/mo you can sign up for that comes every Thursday, but I haven't seen it them since the first month I moved in and I was home a lot when I first moved. Still have roaches! Second, nothing ever gets fixed. You'll have work orders sit in the queue for months on end and they'll update them "waiting on parts." When I first moved in, my dishwasher was broken. And it's STILL broken! Third, the laundry is never open when it's supposed to be. The hours are from 8AM-10PM Monday-Sunday. Sometimes they close it early or they don't even open it at all. I once had my clothes locked in that were sitting in the washer over night. I had to rewash them the next day. Most of the machines don't work or they steal your money and they don't do refunds. They claim to only have 1 key for the laundry rooms that the maintenance man named Javier has. Also, some units actually have a washer and dryer in the unit but they won't tell you that it's an option. Fourth, this place is an absolute ****hole. There is dog poop everywhere, trash, and junk all over the ground (like chicken bones). No one cleans up after themselves and the kids that roam around add to the junk. The only thing that looks decent is the enrichment center and the offices. It appears that's all management cares about upkeeping. I honestly could go on about all the stuff that is wrong with this place, but I think I've reached my character limit. Just don't move here and save yourself the trouble and hassle. Don't fall for the low rent, location, etc. I would be willing to pay just a little bit extra if I didn't have to deal with all of this.

I know of zero apartments that look like that on the inside here, the laundry facilities are disgusting and half the machines go unmarked and eat your quarters which the complex does not return to you. The pools were closed for summer and aren’t clean, the apartments are worn down with everything from non-working outlets, leaking sinks, water stench, broken or noisy AC’s (our broke for a week this summer and no one came to fix it after we reported it), the laundry facilities stay locked hours past opening hour.. the trash removal service they use leave mounds of trash all over the parking lot, the walls are so thin you can hear everyone and everything, maintenance or repair services never show up- if they so it’s randomly weeks later. A request for screens for all windows in our unit was put in upon move in (feb 2018) and we still don’t any for any window. Ants in the foundation & walls. That’s just off the top of me head. It’s hilarious this place has that rating.

I applied for an apartment, on 09/19/18. I was not expecting them to even consider me, but was surprised, and delighted that i was accepted. Just took it as a blessing. Got approved with conditions based on my income being below the required level. Met the condition, received my welcome letter, release statement, just needed to submit the release statement, a cashiers check for rent on move-in, which was on 10/10/18 at 3:00 pm, an pick up the keys on said date. On 10/25/18 I was suddenly denied due to insufficient income after the initial excuse that my VA income statement was expired, when in fact it was not. I have no problem that they changed their mind for whatever reason, but a 4-6 week wait for my money is wrong. What was really strange , when I called, Ms. Laura, the original person we stared with, answered the phone and when I identified myself, she replied, "I am not allowed to talk to you guys".and abruptly hung up on me.

I have lived in these apartments since March 2016. The changes that the New Owners and Management are making are great! The new building colors are fabulous it give the property a fresh new look. The gym , club house and all the amenities are great! The office staff is doing a great job. I would recommend this site for anyone that is looking for reasonable rent and great location.
Your lured in by the low or no deposit fee on approved credit. Only to move into a crack, and meth community. It seems like the druggies rule not the good paying tenants who have to deal with the rude employees. Maintenance sucks oh its their fault they just work for a company Stout Mgmt that dont boost their moral of the company. Back to the upkeep the buildings are so old and the a/c units/heat doesnt cool/heat properly and your bill is so high in winter as well. Installation is very poor. Pool is always closed for some reason . Their has been several murders and shootings as if we were in a cowboy film. If you really want to dodge bullets and get treated like its your fault -WELCOME TO THE WILD WILD WEST HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PS FAILED TO MENTION ROACHES AND FLYING MYSTERY BUGS AND DOG POOH EVERY WHERE AND NASTY NON WORKING LAUNDRY ROOMS WHERE YOU SCORE DRUGS DAY AND NIGHT
I am satisfied with my apartment as well as the area were I live. I live closer to the main points of attraction in Las Vegas. The rent is affordable compare to the other apartments in the neighborhood. I have been living at my apartment for almost three years and I certainly believe that I made I good choice to leave were I am. The very problem here is that the management is not proactive to inform the tenant about some important changes that noticeably affect the overall cost of rent. The most recent one is about water bill that seems unfair according to me. The total amount of water bill is divided by the number of residents in the building to obtain the amount per resident. Unfortunately, nobody knows the number of residents in the building and nobody knows the total amount of the bill. This situation particularly entices suspicions of fraud.
I myself have been living in these apartments for about 8 months now, and so far I have had no complaints about anything it's located in a very convenient location for myself personally. Its located right by the college i plan on going to next semester. Nice gym, Deep Pools, friendly neighbors. 5 Stars!
I lived here march 2011-sep2011 i was 18yo it was my very first apartment. They promised me there were no bugs at all smh. Bold face lie. I have never seen so many roaches in my life. Huge roaches. Like a hundred of them coming out of the sewer drain or whatever. I worked graveyard on the strip and would be at work super early everyday because there were so many roaches on the pathways and parking lot and even the sidewalk outside of the complex. There are so many drug dealers/users. The DEA and ATF both came during my stay. The management did nothing. They're super nice and friendly when you first arrive but if you need anything done they give you bs answers and dont fix anything. Just want to warn people like i wish someone would have done for me.

We apologize for any inconvenience you went through during the time that you were a resident with us. Since 2011 so many things have changed. If you are currently looking for an apartment we encourage you to give us a second chance and allow us the opportunity to better serve you!
The staff was very knowledgable about the area and more than helpful in helping me find a place on short notice. The place is kept clean and all my neighbors are great. There is a brand new gym. They also feature a club house with a pool table and internet area. There are several basketball courts as well as pool open year round. The complex is a 15 minute drive to the strip or 10 minutes to the airport or UNLV. I'm glad I made the choice to move here.
Everyone in the neiborhood in the apartments are all very nice people nobody is scared to talk to anyone and people like to have public BBQ also the apartments are decent quality but really big its a great place to meet people.
All the apartments are not renovated like The tutorial a showing. It is deceiving I believe only a few apartments are renovated and are currently occupied or have already been preleased. There are drugs all over this community. There are thugs all throughout the community. All the pictures are deceiving as the property as well run down. It was built in 1978 and everything in each apartment is breaking down from their air-conditioners to their plumbing to their appliances. They have popcorn ceiling still. The property is never maintained. No service requests are ever completed. And the front office does not care about any of the residents residing there. You pay for what you get for just remember that. These pictures look absolutely nothing like the actual apartments. False advertisement

very good location.excellent management team in place recent new rehab .full ammeneties and clubhouse.pool and new gym equipment.24 hr security protection.free computer usage in complete clubhouse.all shopping centers nearby.outdoor basketball court and kids playland.free use of barbeque pit area as well as picnic area.
recently my gym as well as the club house has been renovated here at Century Village. I am thoroughly enjoying the gym as well as the pool area, this complex gave me a good neighborhood for a decent price and I feel that in Las Vegas that is worth its weight in gold. the complex is completely gated with a security automated gate and it makes me feel safe.the children's playground as well as a basketball court are wonderful amenities for both children and adults as well as their wonderful pool.the laundry facilities are close to my house because there are so many of them so I don't have to walk too far from my house.
The location is great but they just went up $40 dollars on the rent. So they already increased the rent back in April. They expect us to pay $5 for a piece of paper to come in the mail. They can't give us an accurate price for water sewage and trash and have decided not to place in the cost of the rent anymore. They did just renovate the main office and mailbox but they need to put more work into the units.
I have lived here for over 10 years. I have seen it go from fair to bad, to what it is now, great. The new owners have renovated apartments, put in new air conditioners, and provide great security. This is a nice place for seniors, close to everything. The staff is friendly, and do their best to make sure everything is in good condition. This is now a safe place to live in. That is why I did not move when my lease was up. I renewed it for another year.
Century village wasn't the best apartments i wanted to move to. And trust me, they still have a ways to go. But they are changing, getting better. The management updated the clubhouse, now it's more modern and respectable. Hopefully sooner than not, the apartments will look just as good as the office.
Come home to a quiet tranquil environment after a hard day of work. Beautiful renovated condos with a soothing woodsy background. Clean crisp pools where you can bask in the sun. An awesome 18 hole golfcourse where you can play to your hearts content.Washer and dryer in every wonderfully remodeled unit. Lakes at every turn that will have you day dreaming of your favorite fishing hole. Come home to century village. Come home to quiet tranquility.
