Property Ratings at Tiffany Manor
I've lived at Tiffany Manor for over four years and had no incidents of any kind there. My rent was always paid on time and via cashier's check. I comported myself with integrity throughout my time at Tiffany Manor. When moving in, a prospective tenant is required to provide one and a half months of security is addition to one months rent. The organization requests thirty (30) days notice of your intent to move. In my case, I received an offer letter for a position on the West Coast that required me to start in eighteen (18) days from receipt of offer. I notified the management office immediately, notified them of the reasons for my abrupt move and formally requested my security deposit returned to me (over $2,000). I did not take the precaution of sending them a certified letter or having them countersign the letter that I provided ... which I should have The company refused to return my security deposit. This is not a place for prospective honest tenants. If you do opt to rent here, be on your toes and adopt a solid business footing with them. No verbal agreements, do not sign anything with them without reviewing and (possibly) redlining the document. Pay particular attention to the safety of your car in the parking lot and insure that Tiffany Manor is legally responsible for your property in their "secure" parking area. I was lax in my approach with them but make certain that YOU are not. Please accept my experience as a lesson. I paid for it ... so please take heed to the lesson I learned with this apartment complex.
The place is beautiful. The architectural concept is genius. The management staff is atrocious, work orders never go anywhere, renting the space "as is" means moving in on the previous tenants dirt & grime, and the maintenance staff lies right to your face. If they fired all of them & got real staff this place would be a dream.
As a tenant I have been subjected to my car being towed out of my parking space that I am assigned to. They require that we place a parking decal on our cars that lists our apartment number on the decal!!! When I alerted management that it is a safety issue to have my unit number advertised on my car, I got no response. If I rent a car because my car is in the shop, I cannot park the rental in my space because it does not have a decal.Maintenance has entered my unit without letting me know. And when I do request something to be fixed, they come in, but don't leave a ticket confirming that the issue has been fixed. They lock the laundry room at 10pm so you can't do a late load. The management office is rude and unresponsive. The floors are old and done with cheap linoleum and they will not allow you to change them. No pets unless your pet is grandfathered in. If you want to live in peace, DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Before we moved in we had to give away our dog. After living here for a few years we noticed new renters with new dogs and no one from the leasing office would tell them they would have to get rid of their dog or move out. I watched my mother's dog for a week while she was away and they accused me of having a dog. i tried complaining to the head office but i just received a brush off. I feel its so unfair and my kids aren't even able to play in the front yard which is completely safe. its a beautiful environment and convenient for my kids school but I'm hoping to stay for another year save up and buy my own home.
