Named for the abundance of gray squirrels in the days of the early pioneers, Squirrel Hill is one of the city’s premier neighborhoods. Nestled between Frick Park and Schenley Park, two of Pittsburgh’s favorite green spaces, Squirrel Hill North is a quintessential family-friendly neighborhood. The neighborhood was even the inspiration for the beloved children's television show "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood," as Fred Rogers was a long-time resident. Along with excellent public and private schools, Squirrel Hill North is home to Carnegie Mellon University and Chatham University while the University of Pittsburgh is nearby as well. Residents can walk to the neighborhood’s restaurants and shops while Squirrel Hill South provides even more options along Murray Avenue. Frick Park has excellent trails while Schenley Park has an ice-skating rink, botanical gardens, and more. Rentals in this leafy locale include affordable studios, high-rise apartment buildings, and elegant brick mansions.

Property Ratings at Tiffany Place
The landlord is terrible. Cares nothing about tenants only collecting the rent. Your concerns will not be cared about renting here. Very old and dusty apartments. You’ll be disappointed when you move. They show occupied apartments so you can’t see the details. DO NOT VIEW OCCUPIED APARTMENTS! They do this so you can’t see everything.
Amazing location. Right between Point Breeze, Oakland, Squirrel Hill, and Shadyside businesses. Frequent Buses to downtown, Lawrenceville, and the Waterfront. Parking lot ($80/month) in the back of the building makes for easy pick ups etc. on a busy street. Landlord is kind of invasive especially about any money he thinks you owe him, he is often wrong so it is important to keep track of the obligations to Ross. Good maintenance and response from the building. Nice courtyard. Nice place for a student at any Pittsburgh University and affordable with most utilities included in rent.
I'm a student at Pitt, and wanted to live in a good neighborhood. I looked at many apartments in Fifth ave. but either the rents were too high or they were in the basement. As soon as I found this apartment I got it and I'm very happy with my desicion. The rent is reasonable and the landlord is good. I asked him to paint the apartment and change the lock and he did all of it in two days. The apartment has a walk-in closet and a pantry in the living room and a big closet in the bedroom. I live alone and the closets are more than I need, I guess they will be suitable for two people. The kitchen is not that big but I'm happy with it. The only things that I don't like about is the fridge which is really old, and the bathtub is not that clean (I bought a bathtub cleaner but haven't tried it yet).
