The Highlands/Perkins neighborhood of Baton Rouge is located just south of downtown, nestled into the curves of the Mississippi River. A relatively upscale area, Highlands/Perkins offers a range of mid-rise apartments and single-family homes that showcase the best the Bayou State has to offer. A convenient location just across Interstate 10 from Downtown Baton Rouge means residents will always be close to the action. The neighborhood is also home to Louisiana State University, and there’s a welcome youthful energy courtesy of the campus and its students. There are diverse cuisines to explore including Cajun and Creole foods near the university and just off the interstate. Breweries have sprung up near the river and there are well-maintained parks to explore both near the water and closer to Downtown Baton Rouge.

Property Ratings at Tiger Pointe
The basin, sink, bath tub, toilet flush, carpet and ceiling, AC and window such small things might have been broken. because it can take ages to fix them once you move in. Otherwise, it is nice place to live.

30 days without a faucet repair or dishwasher since move in
Property Manager at Tiger Pointe, Responded To This Review
Our goal is to address maintenance concerns as quickly as possible. According to our records, all maintenance requests have been completed and we expressed that to you. Please contact our office if you have any other concerns.
Unless you like no relaxation in your own home and to be disrespected this is not the place for you. I have been here for 6 months and there has been loud construction ever since then. To make matters worse the construction takes much longer than necessary, workers are constantly talking/screaming across the courtyard at each other, and do not follow any safety precautions. It has been said thet they are only here during business hours but it is really frustrating not to be able to hear my tv at 7pm when they are either still working or leave with the air compressor still running. Also windows are only single pained.... does not block any noise. Instead of worrying about the minuscule issues such as landscaping maybe give your tenants some quiet. Request that your workers actually work instead of play around for SIX B MONTHS. Property management has no respect or concern for my personal life and often requests can that my door be left unlocked so “contractors” can access my apartment. All in all the only reason I am still here is I don’t have any assistance to move my large furniture and I just want a day to relax at my own apartment.
The new management is terrible. It takes them at least 1 week to do the most urgent and essential repairs. The laundry room is very dirty all the time. Construction is super noisy and requires you to move your vehicles multiple times with or without notice (even if you are on vacation you still need to find someone to move your car or they will tow it). They have cut the water several days (all day ) during the pandemic. My lease was through December 31,2020 but I moved out on December 7,2020, cleaned the apartment and transferred the utilities and paid them in full. They turned the utilities back on in their name, renovated the apartment, and send me the electricity bill for their renovation from my move-out date through 6 days after the end of my lease. I just can't understand how they can have the audacity to charge me for the electricity for their renovation. Believe me you do not want to live here.
Property Manager at Tiger Pointe, Responded To This Review
This review is troubling and disheartening since we do our best to provide excellent communication and service to our residents. When we discussed this issue, we were able to get your account credited and the issue resolved. We do not have any control over utility bills and ultimately the lease agreement stated the bill would remain in your name until the end of the lease contract. All resident requests are done in a timely manner and in the order that they are received unless it's deemed an emergency. The construction noise is obviously from the apartment renovations and landscaping upgrades that have been done on the property during normal business hours. We notify residents of shut-offs so they can plan accordingly. We’re a bit confused by the towing complaints as the only vehicle we have a record of is one that was not operable. Please reach out to our office if you'd like to discuss your feedback in more detail.
Noisy, bad manager, very expensive given that they are old buildings

Love this place. Management was excellent and really helped me with my needs. I needed a place that would meet my high demands and management did not disappoint. Not to mention being SO close to campus was a huge bonus for me.
