At the heart of Missouri, Columbia is truly one of America’s greatest college towns. The University of Missouri sits right at the center of the city, and generally serves as the cultural hub for the wider community. Locals, whether connected directly to the university or not, regularly visit campus for sporting events, concerts, gallery exhibitions, lectures, and more. Just north of campus, Downtown Columbia features a thriving mix of coffee shops, restaurants, nightclubs, taverns, and performance venues, largely catering to the huge numbers of students from Mizzou, as well as the smaller Stephens College and Columbia College.
Of course, the community extends well beyond the collegiate environment at the city center. The University of Missouri Health Care system is the second-biggest employer in town, so the community of healthcare professionals in town is quite extensive. The cost of living is quite affordable, and there are numerous apartments and rental homes to fit any budget.

Property Ratings at Tiger Village
The office staff are always helpful and patient. They do a great job of making you feel like they’re friendly neighbors rather than landlords. :)
Management and maintenance always very nice and helpful. I wish there was more for kids to do. I wish that policies were implemented more , such as cleaning up after your pets

I have just moved in. Great place so far. I opted for the renovated one bedroom and the closet space has got to be my favorite thing so far.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Tiger Village. We're happy we could meet your expectations!
Absolutely love it here at tiger Village. It’s a comfortable, peaceful environment that is provided to those that live here. Maintenance staff is super nice and helpful, leasing staff as well. I would refer tiger village to a friend.

Hi, thank you so much for the positive review! We are always more than happy to assist you if anything else comes up. Take care!
The staff were awesome and extremely accommodating. The flats are fine although some aspects are a bit dated (shower taps/heads). But you sincerely feel cared for by management that if you come across something that bothers you enough to raise issue, I feel you would be helped. Only pity is there isn't a furnished option, and some of the top apartments are quite tight to get through. So bringing up furniture is a big mission.

We're happy you found our staff to be so supportive during your experience here at Tiger Village. If you would like a new shower head please let us know.
I have been living at Tiger Village since 2019 and had a very positive experience. The staff are always friendly, polite, and willing to work with me if any issues arise. Maintenance always corrects my problems as soon as possible, and the management does their best to host events and stay connected with the residents. The location of Tiger Village is convenient for anyone who wants to live on the West side of Columbia since it is near multiple places to eat, the mall, the ARC, multiple grocery stores, and it is close to Highway 70. It is about a 3-5min drive downtown, and about 10min from the South side of town depending on which way you'd prefer to take, and the traffic. This is where I plan to live until I purchase my own home.

The staff and neighbors are pretty dope. Location's convenient and I enjoy the shopping centers, restaurants, etc. Hopefully my schedule will allow me to use the pool one fine day. Anywho, 10/10, would recommend.

Hi Isiah, we’re so glad to hear you are loving your home and community!
The staff is always friendly and maintenance is very good! Kelly is amazing and always super helpful, personable, and nice. The apartment that I am in has some nice upgrades, including central ac and new floors. The downside is the building that I am in seems to have been forgotten as far as shrubbery and flowers, etc. Also there is not a lot to do for kids. There is no playground, only a pool to go swimming in during summer months.
Property Manager at Tiger Village, Responded To This Review
Hello, we are happy to hear you had a positive experience with our team! We will let Kelly know he is doing a great job! We will do our best to improve shrubbery in your area. What would be your opinion on holding more kid-oriented community events?
The paperwork goes really smooth, staff are very nice, very friendly, and the apartments are very nice, however there are spots of damage around. Not too bad tho, just basic decorative stuff

Our residential experience is going great so far being our first week in the apartment. The area is quiet and the place is taken care of. I couldn't have asked for a better first apartment.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
Reasonable rent, management will take care of issues when you bring them to them, and maintenance will repair what you report as soon as possible. Location is convenient since there are plenty of options of food and shopping near by. Parking can be tight but management does their best to remind people of not allowing non-residents to keep cars parked here. There are community events but I tend to stick to myself which is an option here. You can be apart of the community or keep private
helpful staff, great amenities, and the maintenance team is awesome! Tiger village really takes care of its residents, the staff goes out of their way to help you with anything, super friendly.
1. Flexible lease term 2. Major shopping complexes are nearby 3. Maintenance & management is great - Every request I made while staying in here was handled in less than 3 days, also staffs and managers were super friendly
Moved in beginning of September and we have two dogs, they love meeting all the dogs and their owners. We love it here as well. Close to everything, Maxwell is so Awesome and accommodating. I think we found the perfect place to live!!
I walked past an apparent drug deal in the parking lot on the way to throw my trash in the dumpster. I got a phone call 20 minutes later from the apartment lady blaming me for it- threatening me with lease violations, eviction, and police. I was baffled and thought I could go in and explain there was a misunderstanding- but she is very stubborn and “saw it with her own eyes”. The conversation went no where. I’ve been waiting weeks for maintenance, but I think with my lease ending in a couple months they’re hoping to just take all those general maintenance costs out of my deposit. They did send an email to all residents offering a few hundred dollars or so off your rent one month for the person who writes “the best review” for them. I’m curious how many of these good reviews are from these raffles. 0/5 would not recommend.
The property is old but the rent is relatively low for the area and has everything a young college student or young professional needs. They have laundry facilities, a work out area, and a pool for hanging out with friends. The complex is also very pet friendly since most renters have pets and were never an issue. You can tell that the units have been renovated a few times so it is not high end but for what you get I would recommend this property to a student or a temporary resident.

Thank you :) Glad to know your needs are met! We are here for you!
I've lived in Tiger Village for about 15 months now and I really like it here. The staff is warm and welcoming. Carroll goes out of her way to make you feel like you're at home. I have noticed that some of the units, especially the upstairs ones that have not been renovated, tend to have maintenance problems - mostly water lines. The maintenance staff does their best to keep up with everything and they're wonderful at their jobs, but it seems like they don't have enough resources. That is to be somewhat expected in such old buildings though. The dog park is great, the amenity building is nice, and I really like most of my neighbors.

We're happy to hear you had such a positive experience with our team! We have hired an additional Maintenance team member to help!
I rent a little one bedroom here and it's perfect for my needs. The apartment looks small but it's actually quite spacious. I've been here two years and I've never seen a bug, any maintenance issues have been fixed within one-two hours of me saying something, and it's very quiet - surprising in a college town. The staff know who I am and make a point of asking if everything is alright whenever they see me out and about. Overall the complex is quiet and friendly. Perfect.
Currently in a two bedroom apartment, the master bedroom is massive with a huge walk in closet which is amazing. However the second bedroom is incredibly small, maybe suitable for a small child, but definitely not an adult. The living room is spacious and great for entertaining. The kitchen on the other hand is so incredibly small normal sized refrigerators cannot be opened all the way - it gets stuck on the counter and you have to maneuver items in and out of it very careful, resulting in multiple spills. The wall behind the kitchen makes for an awkward entrance to the apartment and a lot of wasted space because nothing quite fits right. On the whole the entire complex is in need of updating, the carpet is gross and dingy and the air conditioning/windows make it hard to cool the apartment in the summer. There is almost always a weird smell coming from somewhere in the complex and invading my apartment. The parking lot is extremely crowded and the spaces are hard to get in and out of. In the winter no matter how much they salt or plow the lot it is always an ice pit. While I have no hated living here for the past 2 years, once my lease is up I will definitely not be renewing it here.
This apartment complex is old, but if you can get beyond that it is great. There is a pool, and if you like animals at least half of the renters have dogs. The staff is awesome; he is just a nice, helpful guy. The closets are very big, and you can walk in them, but it isn't a walk-in. Also, the location is great, it is right off the main street and you can get anywhere you need to go quickly. One last bonus is that the laundry room has a free workout center, so you can do anything from running on a treadmill to bench pressing free weights. The only real downside is that the kitchen is really small as in the refrigerator can't open all the way without hitting the opposite counter. Other than that there is also limited parking so you may have to walk a little some nights to get to your apartment. All in all, it is an oldie, but a goodie.
