Timber Chase at Sarasota Bay

I moved here from NY without seeing the apartment or area or anything first. I went based off reviews hoping they would be right. They were. This apartment complex is fantastic. Everything is very clean, newer and very well kept. The apartment itself is very nice and spacious with vaulted ceilings again very clean well kept and newer. The pool is again very clean and very nice, same thing with the fitness center. They also actually care about pets and their droppings so you won’t find them anywhere. The community is super friendly and nice. The landscaping is very clean cut well kept. The location to me is perfect, 15 minutes from siesta key and like 5 minutes from anything else including downtown. I’ve only been here 4 days but I’m very happy I made this choice. There were 2 small things wrong when I first moved in like the handle on my sink being loose and was fixed within hours. I will write a different review if anything changes but yes this apartment is very nice. Availability is slim though but I understand why now!

Timber Chase is a peaceful, quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature, yet surprisingly close to major roads, shopping areas, and downtown. It’s a community of all ages and stripes, from kids to professionals to retirees and everyone in between. All tenants have their own private entrances and a balcony or patio, and everyone is respectful of their neighbors. So, no loud noises here, no intrusions on your privacy, your lunch, or evening read on the balcony. The grounds themselves—graced by palm trees, a wide variety of trees and plants, and two lakes—are kept neat and clean by a well-organized maintenance team. This maintenance team also keeps the inside apartment systems in top performance, e.g., the air conditioner/ furnace, internet connection, bath and laundry facilities, etc. Additionally, when you need assistance with something not already on the maintenance schedule, a phone call to the office gets you help asap. (Plus, they take off their shoes at the door. Thank you!) Not only does the complex house a huge pool, whirlpool, gym, and tennis court (so much more pleasant and timely than vying for public facilities), but also surrounds two gorgeous lakes, which offer an array of fun-to-watch birds and other creatures; we recently even spotted an otter, and we have our own personal eagle/osprey (not sure which he is) who fishes the lake almost every day. The dog-friendly atmosphere is a definite additional plus, and neither the dogs nor their owners encroach on anyone’s space. Everyone keeps their dog on a lead for walks, and any barking from inside is rare and quickly curtailed. Timber Chase even supplies those nifty little bags for pickup. In our view—and we appraised many apartment complexes in the area--the combo of all these features makes Timber Chase the number one apartment home in Sarasota.

I recently changed to apartment living for the first time in a very long time. I couldn't be happier! The few times I have required attention to my unit I was treated with courtesy, professionalism and speed. They always considered my pet and asked if I preferred to be home at the time of service. Mindy and her office staff are so thoughtful and helpful. Jason and Norm on the maintenance team are outstanding. I would highly recommend this property. CM

Nice apartments and friendly staff. Close to downtown area.

I love living at timber chase, there’s a lot of shade and spots to sit outside and a pool to cool off in as well. Only a short walk to downtown Sarasota and a short drive to the beach as well.

I stopped by this property a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. It feels very secluded even though it’s right off the main road. The staff were all super friendly and the model apartment looked very cozy. They unfortunately didn’t have any apartments available but I will definitely be back in the future to check on availability.

Awesome complex! Sits back far enough where you can’t hear the busy streets. Everything is pretty clean, dog stations around the whole campus, charcoal grills and picnic tables, small workout gym, a relaxing pool/hot tub, and so much more! The price is great for all they offer. They are always so quick to get any maintenance work done as well! Highly recommend timber chase for really anyone of any age!

Nice, quiet, clean and beautiful apartments super close to downtown. Management is very nice and is always on top of things, as well maintaining the property, matinence requests are done usually day of and, are respectful. 10/10.

Excellent apartment complex to live at. Staff is friendly and eager to help. The maintenance crew is especially helpful and are always fast about fixing any issues that arise (which have been few and far between for me). The property is well kept and it's in a convenient location being so close to downtown Sarasota- there's a lot of fun things to do nearby! I 100% recommend looking into this complex if you're interested in an apartment. The residents here are all friendly as well.

Moved to Timber Chase from Illinois 6 years ago. Love by roomy apartment and location which is close to downtown, beaches, and shopping. Management staff, along with the maintenance team are great. The apartment complex is very quite and peaceful with a small lake surrounded by trees, which harbors many different birds, aquatic life and even otters. Love living here.

moved in here almost two years ago and the staff is so nice and helpful! i’ve never had any problems living here. a nice and clean pool,gym, and tennis court. a lovely lake to walk your dog!

One year ago we relocated to Sarasota to find a new home to buy. With prices escalating we decided to rent instead. We found Timber Chase, off the main streets but very near Historic downtown Sarasota, Payne Park and a easy drive to Lido Beach. The location is wonderful, Apartments well maintained and ours was newly updated. After a few small repairs which were handled quickly and professionally by the Maintenance staff we settled in. Our Apartment face a small lake with “friendly” turtles and varieties of visiting tropical birds. Very serene. All the management staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve been living at Timber Chase for four months. It’s a fantastic place to live. The staff is so helpful and they were fantastic with helping me with the application process. My apartment has been totally remodeled. The neighbors are very friendly , Couldn’t be happier

I've lived here for less than a year as of writing this review and I have to say that I really enjoy living here. The rent is affordable and the staff is so nice. I also love the gym, pool, and hot tub on the premises. So happy I moved here!

10 years we have lived there. Staff is perfect for property management. Their job is to manage the property and make sure rules are enforced. Don't take it personal just follow the rules. Adopt me it's their job to make sure all residents follow the rules. Things would get way out of control if the rules were enforced again don't take it personal. The maintenance staff Jason and Mr Cruz do phenomenal work for property maintenance. Once a repair claim is notified with office there is a prompt response to the tenants issue and repairs are resolved very soon. Neighborhood is quiet. Most tenants have not been night animals as far as hanging out in parking lots nor having crazy parties at night. That's not saying a family could not have an event there and be rowdy as far as things. But if you want to jam your radio all night 11:00 12:00 2:00 in the morning is probably is not the neighborhood for you. You got to remember you're renting and other people work and have children and would like to reside in a place where they can put their kids to sleep or sleep themselves. An overall great review for the complex in the 10 years that we've been there have no major complaints. The only reason we left was our family outgrew the space. We started there a couple and ended up leaving with four children. I would recommend anybody looking for a place where you can reside that this is a great place for the area.

Was there for one year. I signed a lease for an upgraded apartment and was given the keys to an apartment with Kitchen and Bath cabinets falling apart. The ruggs were frayed. I was totally lied to. Basically don't trust them. The deposit you give, they pretty much make up anything to charge you to keep it so don't expect it back. The apartments aren't worth the rent the charge old run down. The apartment only had one phone jack. No high speed internet. Ask to see the lease before you even consider moving in. The terms are outrageous.

I am just about to complete one year of living at Timber Chase Apartments in Sarasota. I moved into a completely renovated apartment, new appliances, new carpet, new paint and remodeled bathroom and kitchen. I was told by the management that the are renovating every unit as it becomes vacant. So, when you move in you will be in a completely renovated apartment. The grounds are kept in excellent condition, the pool, hot tub, picnic area and landscaping. I've had a couple of minor issues throughout the year and the maintenance team has been swift to fix the problems. The manager is very nice and all of the staff are very friendly too. This is an excellent place to live, with affordable rent in comparison to compatible apartment complexes.

Was so excited to find an apartment in Florida. However, after applyiing was told that they did not take a guaranteer without 1 years rent which would be a sum of almost $14000. I was not told at the application process that this was required for a guarenteer. I lost my applications fees of $135 and feel I should have been refunded since I was not told of the regulations that require that much cash up front.

I love living in Timber Chase Apartments. I look out to a beautiful pond every morning, and I wonder how an apartment complex can be so calm and quiet when it's right by Fruitville Road and Ed Smith Stadium. The location is ridiculously convenient to all the downtown attractions. The maintenance crew are quick, efficient, and wonderful to talk to. Mindi, the landlady of the complex is one of the sweetest people you'll meet and actually cares about you. I can not say enough nice things about this place. If you're going to rent in Sarasota, choose Timberchase.

I recently visit the apt complex, and upon entering the office I was greeted very respectably. The ladies in the office were very informative and answered all me questions. They couldn't have been any nicer to me. They made me feel right at home!!!. I was giving a tour of the property and also a complete tour of a model apartment, so I new exactly what to expect. No other complex I visited had model apartments to view. The grounds were very clean and well taken care. I like the fact that they have everything I was looking for, and that I would be close to everything. I was so impressed that I decided to move there in August Thanks to the ladies in the office for all your help
