Property Ratings at The Marley
I moved in a few weeks ago and I love this place. I heard that they just got new management and I haven't had any problems. My unit is so nice and the perfect size. I am super excited for all the renovations and pickleball court to come.

Love this property! I have been living here for almost two years and have been very pleased with my experience since the new management team came in. My apartment is newly remodeled and gets a ton of complements form my friends and family when they visit. The community is clean, quiet, and my neighbors are all super friendly. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for your glowing review! We're thrilled to hear that you're satisfied with our newly remodeled apartments and friendly community. Your recommendation means a lot to us. We'll strive to keep up the good work!
Would give this place negative zero stars if possible. I’ve been forced to live with no dishwasher and garbage disposal for almost a month. With sewege backed up smelling so bad I can’t even stay in my own place. I’ve called ,emailed, and have place several work orders, no one has done anything. And from what I hear I’m not the only experiencing unsafe living conditions. That management is not willing to do anything about. They say they are. But nothing happens and tenant's are completely neglected. They raised the rent but refuse to hire the help this place so desperately needs. Been a whole month of me talking to different people in the office and personally emailing the manager. And being completely ignored. A person shouldn’t have to put in multiple work order and call back week after week, day after day to get things fix that they PAY for. I wouldn’t wish these conditions and treatment on my worst enemy.

When considering living at timber creek please think about one thing. Do you mind living amongst cockroaches? If not, it’s cheap, in a great location, maintenance is awesome and the staff is very nice. If you do mind living with cockroaches - simply don’t live here.
Property Manager at The Marley, Responded To This Review

Thank you, Crystal Lewis - Property Manager - (704) 527-4606
The apartments in themselves are pretty nice looking at first glance. Nice laminate flooring, nice updated cabinets and appliances, etc., but everything is cheap. The floors have bumps in them that are uneven. The paint on the walls & cabinets was done very cheaply and quickly. Popcorn ceilings are outdated. Things aren’t sealed properly so we get roaches and spiders. There’s no overhead lighting and not enough natural light so the apartment looks very small and dark. The office people are VERY lazy. Very bad at communicating when maintenance will be coming, about the status of work orders, and other very important information. We had several occasions where the office has not mentioned things that are very important with timing and needed preparation before somebody was going to be coming into our apartment for maintenance. There was a water damage hole in the ceiling for months that caused mold to grow in the apartment and make us sick. It took about 6 times of going to the office to tell them about the hole before anything was even done about it. It should have been taken care of the first time it was mentioned. You have to pay for valet trash service, but on multiple occasions our trash was left in the bin for days or even a week. There’s a lot of parking, which is nice, but the roads within the complex have an insane amount of potholes. The other residents are fairly quiet and keep to themselves, however I have had multiple packages stolen from the mail room. Living here was awful. I strongly do not recommend living here.
Very affordable and nice to live in a safe neighborhood
Its easy place to live, most people are friendly and mind their own business
Timber Creek is a very calm and inviting property, I have enjoyed the staff and maintenance crew at this property; Timber Creek is closely located to downtown, south park, rock hill, northeast charlotte and concord; Surrounding cycle lanes make this property a great choice,
My experience by living here at Timber Creek has been great. Staff has been patient with question very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. The area is great surrounded by many amenities that you may need.I would recommend this property and area.
Thomas did a great job! Very accommodating and friendly. Thanks Thomas!
I have enjoyed living at Timber Creek for two years now. The management and maintenance crew on site are doing a great job. I also like the wooded atmosphere landscape of the development as well. The parcel pending lockers is another great amenities to our community.
I am currently in my thirteenth year of residency at timber creek apts, and I love living here. An overall great place to live!
Great rates, great location, feels like home, I wont leave til I buy
If you have a major issue they will take their sweet time fixing it. I lost over $100 in groceries when my fridge broke 8/31 its 9/12 almost 2 weeks and still no fridge.
My family and I moved from the Chicago suburbs just two weeks ago and Timber Creek already feels like home. All of our maintenance requests have been addressed to our satisfaction and the office staff of Nicole, Crystal, and Broderick have been friendly and quick to help out with every need that has come up. The two bed / two bath apartment layout is working well for our family of four. We enjoy the pool, the trees, and the peacful atmosphere of the Timber Creek community.
Maintenance always great and prompt!
It's very nice community and safety
Excellent staff, great service
Such a very quiet and nice area to live in...I love crystal and melody they are so nice and have great customer service skills I highly recommend Timber Creek apartments. I am very satisfied!
This is a WONDERFUL place to live!! The Nicole, Cindy, Broderick and the entire team here go ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that we as residents are safe, cared about and cared for. They make us feel that this is not "just an apartment"... it's our home!
Nice little tree-covered community.
Moved here in March and couldn't be happier. The office staff goes above and beyond to make their residents feel welcomed!
Great service and quiet friendly environment.
Great place to live. Clean property. Office staff and maintenance staff very friendly and always willing to help!
I have been living in Timber Creek for over 3 years, I think this place is awesome. I just have everything I need in just one apartment complex, also the location is very convenient. The parking spaces are very spacious and accesible for all residents. Also, we have many places on which you can take walks individually or with your pet(s). "SAFE" Place. The customer service for all these years is GREAT. Melody is one the best person in the office who is willing anytime to help me,
For starters I NEVER write reviews for anything ever. This is the first and hopefully only time I’ll have to do this. A couple points: 1. Make sure they give you a tour of the apartment you’re going to get. I learned that the hard way. 2. Everyone except the property manager have been kind. This lady is seriously the rudest landlord I’ve ever had. 3. There is absolutely no parking here. I’ve had to park in other areas around the complex far from my apartment, this gets annoying after coming home from work. 4. This one is just for those who like to take care of their cars. Be prepared to squeeze your cars into extremely tight parking spots. And be prepared to spend a fortune on washing your car. The trees and pines here will definitely begin to irritate you. 5. The valet trash here almost never actually takes your trash. They do when they feel like it. I can’t count how many times I’ve found my trash still out my door after they were supposed to pick it up. Overall, I will not be renewing my contract here. I highly recommend looking at other places before you move here. This should honestly be your last resort.
Baffled with a $200.00 rent increase I decided to learn more about BH Management- owners of TIMBER CREEK APARTMENTS. As part of my research, I decided to visit their Website. The first tab I clicked on was: ABOUT US- History. Principles. Philosophy. I read it over and was stopped dead at: “…With revenues now surpassing $500 million annually, BH Companies has come a long way in a short time. What may be less obvious, however, is how we got there…” At that very moment, it dawned on me, I knew how they got there. It was through FEES! Fees were the main reason why I left after 10 years. Every year like clockwork it was a new Fee and an unreasonable rent increase. All the appliances were 30 plus years old: Hotpoint Refrigerator (Model: HTR16ABSALCC), Whirlpool Range (RF302XKT) and Whirlpool Dishwasher (00300XLD). My Apartment had structural damage and a gap in the front door large enough to see people walking about while “closed.” In all, there were seven different Fees and one on the back burner (ADT/Protection1). You can bet your last dollar there will be a Fee for this. It will only be a matter of time before the Tenants have to pay for the electricity used to operate the Main Gate; a gate that’s broken half the time. So much for “Gated Community”. In conclusion, this is what you’ll have to deal with: 1. your Base Rent will be increased by 15% just through Fees. The actual amount you’ll be required to pay will be more than what’s on the Lease and 2. high turnover rate at the Leasing Office. Only one Leasing Associate remains from the past, everyone else has left including the Property Manager and 3. expect more Fees when you vacate the apartment. They will find something wrong during your Move-Out Inspection. This Inspection will be done surreptitiously, and the results will not be shared.
Hey, If you use the pool in the summer, this is not the place to live. past 4 few years pool has never been open beginning of May thru Oct, consistently, every day, like our neighboring apartment communities& BHmanaged properties. to this day it is still is not open.
Crazy price fluctuations for rent, water, electricity, dirty property, no outside waste receptacles, exposed wiring, horrible staff.
We absolutely love living here in Timber Creek. The apartments are clean and it is quiet. It feels safe walking around the neighborhood here. The best part is that the rent is affordable to anyone- which is awesome, since my fiance are both working our way through school.
WORST PLACE I GAVE EVER LIVED!!! Do not move in here!!! Timber creek is terrible. They have attempted to raise my rent twice in a year, both times leading to a huge argument and me threating to sew them for breach of contract. The empolyees are rude and unhelpful. They have "set" office hours but are never in the office for them. We had to move out of our apartment for a month so they could come in and repipe- we got no compensation or reduced rent for this MASSIVE inconvenience. It supposed to be a gated community but the gate hasn't worked in a year.
This complex has a timber and a creek, but it also has very nice apartments at a great price. And the location is terrific.
