Property Ratings at Timber Creek Townhomes
I paid over $1000 to keep an apartment for me. I lost my job prior to the other tenant even moving out. I couldn't take the property but she kept my entire deposit, even the pet deposit.
The noise there is atrocious and the 'manager' would do nothing about it. She is on site...her husband is supposedly maintenance but she is the only one who did work in my apartment except for the original maintenance man who was MUCH better. When I moved out they charged me for blinds that were not even included in my unit.
My fiancé and I lived here for a year and the manager was always complaining about other tenants to us and telling us all about how they messed up their apartment. Well, when we moved out, it took us over a week to get ahold of him to turn in our keys and he only called us AFTER we contacted the owner. He also put down on our lease that our deposits were less than the actual amount we paid. The owner was awesome about working with us to resolve the issue, but until they get a new manager (if they do), I would recommend finding elsewhere to call home. FYI, we paid our rent on time every month, so no, the "bad reviews" aren't just a bunch of people who didn't pay their rent. We thought Dave was awesome until we moved out and had so much trouble getting our deposits back and having to contact the owner just to talk to someone.
This is the best place in Mason City, the management is very responsive and the work very hard to keep tenants happy. They do enforce the rules and the lease, not sure why there are bad reviews, I suspect they are tenants that do not pay rent on time. This is definitely worth checking out
Since new ownership no maintenance, no repairs, limited mowing. If you complain or talk to others your labled troubled, harassed and intimidated. Grown men urinate out front and back doors. Weeds 4-5 foot tall right by the building. Management doesn't do anything because the can't hire anyone else to take this ridiculous job. Stay away, don't rent.
New owner, and he is cheap. No professional services for repairs or upkeep. Lot hasn't been cleaned or painted in years and my son literally fell through through the floor in the upstairs. Ungodly expensive for what you get aswell.
