Property Ratings at Timber Ridge Apartments
I enjoyed staying here, but it came with a few problems. Pros: Quiet complex, location, spacious units, nice neighbors. Cons:Timber Ridge is not the safest place considering the fact that cars get broken into very frequently. The managers don’t care at all since they’re not directly affected. There was construction going on the whole time I lived here. The companies they hired left trash everywhere. The online portal is never working. If you have a question or concern don’t bother to call or email. They never answer the phone and rarely get back with you. Especially if you have a question about rent or payments I strongly suggest you go into the office. If the online portal is not working and you Call or email trying to pay your rent on time they will wait until after the payment is due to get back with you that way you have to pay a late fee. You have been warned.
I usually don't write reviews but now I feel like I have to. I wouldn't recommend Timber Ridge. Lived here for almost 2 yrs. There seems to be construction going on all the time, I worked night shifts for a month and would come home and not been able to sleep at all during the day because of the noise. People coming in to my apartment early morning to fix things I haven't asked to be fixed. The outside balcony is pretty useless, when it rains everything gets soaked. Management changed and their are super rude. I wanted to make an appointment with the manager and they put me on hold forever and I never ended up speaking with the manager. Just aweful, never felt so disrespected. There are better apartments in mobile!!!
Moving in was a pain but it wasn’t their fault the system was down. However I was told my apartment would have a fireplace and black appliances by the manger. That wasn’t true. Only half of the ceiling fan was installed in the living room.
First of all, my apartment wasn't even move-in ready when they said I could move in. A/C was out, oven still needed to be replaced, garbage disposal didn't work, bathtub had rust in it, and the carpet WAS NOT CLEAN. I know they did not clean it because I cleaned them myself, and the disgusting water and filth that my carpet cleaner removed was unacceptable. Then, they tried to charge me to have my bathtub fixed. And now they DO NOT accept checks at the office anymore. I have to pay online, which costs $7, OR go through Money Gram which costs $4! YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY IN ORDER TO PAY RENT!!
Property manager was very rude and unprofessional over the phone to my roommate and myself on more than one occasion. There were significant and expensive inconsistencies with documentation on a carpet replacement we had to have the week we moved in because the whole apartment absolutely reeked of cat urine from the previous tenant. Keep in mind, with the fresh paint on the walls- the smell of the carpet took a day or so for us to notice and was inconveniently enough, after we had moved in all of our furniture. After a few days of unreturned phone calls from the property manager, another lady from the office came in and said she did smell it and apologized. When we got word that they would replace the carpet for us, we had nowhere to put the furniture that we had already moved into the apartment. Since the urine smell was noticeably worse in living/dining area, we moved the furniture (ourselves) into the remaining floor space of the 3 bedrooms our apartment had and were going to live with the stains in those rooms for the year we occupied our lease. Now upon moveout, we are being billed over $1000 for "damages- occupied carpet replacement at move in". During my conversation addressing my concerns with the manager, she explained to me that two bedrooms need new carpet for damages and stains (that were there when we moved in) and was unapologetic and rude when I told her that was the condition they were in before and that none of the bedrooms had new carpet installed when this was dealt with the first time. She rudely insisted that at least one of the bedrooms had the carpet replaced because "she paid for it so it was changed" and then hung up on me. The new carpet they put down was even a different color. Had they done a proper walk through and changed the carpet from the previous tenant before we moved in, none of this would be an issue today. I'll do one better; Even if they did a walk through after the old carpet from the living room was replaced, this wouldnt be an issue. The only reason I am writing this review is because the manager refused to listen to our side, interrupted me while I was speaking to her, and continuously had an attitude over the phone before hanging up on me. Will never reccomend this community to a friend.
Lived here 4 years, management changed and its been in a rapid decline. Complex is not safe, in 2016 my car was vandalised and 1500 in property stolen, 2017 neighbors car stolen, 2017 harrassed by tresspassers. 0 building maintenance . Building is rotting away and dirty. Units caught fire supposedly drug related. Cops get called in often. Yet they keep increasing rent! Front office is lazy, never answers phones.
Worst apartment experience for the price. Maintenance is slow at responding if they even respond at all. My toilet didn't work properly for the two years that I stayed there. I fixed it myself after making numerous calls. Towards the end there was a water leak in my building and I had mold growing on the walls, carpet, and baseboards. They did not replace the carpet and simply painted over the mold on the baseboards. The door to my room didn't shut properly due to the water damage. I asked about getting the walls looked at for mold inside and they refused. So if you like constantly being sick due to mold exposure this is the place for you!!
Adequate space and countertops in the kitchen. Plenty of cabinets. Prompt maintenence and nice appliances. No bugs. The only complaint I have with this place is that there is no dog weight restrictions. I hear the dogs upstairs playing and fighting all the time. Dog owners should be put on the bottom floors if no weight restrictions. Management is new, but nice. There are monthly clubhouse contests. Trash pickup is nice. I've lived here over a year now and I still like it.
This apartment is the very ideal for my family! I fell in love the second we did our walk thru on the day of our appointment! The standard is luxury, relaxed, family oriented and in a great location! I couldn't of asked for a better place to live and look forward to raising this family in a wonderful environment!
The apartment is in a nice secluded area that not many people in the area. Easy access to Airport Blvd. only minutes from the mall and other shopping centers. Nice apartments. Parking is the only issue.
I have been here 4 years. It started off great but slowly turned into good. Now Timber Ridge is heading toward bad. Change of staff is noticed.Maintenance issues arise more frequent without follow up. Building exterior is very dirty. Seems like the only attention is the landscape. Pools are always dirty. It needs to change quickly or time to look elsewhere.
