New Stanton resides in Westmoreland County. Back in the early 1800s, the borough was laid out along the main roadway that led from Somerset to Pittsburg. During its development years in the 1870s, New Stanton gained a school, house of worship, saddlery shop, and boot store.
Today, New Stanton residents enjoy numerous restaurants throughout the borough plus the local park, which is a great place to go walking or toss a Frisbee. The Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and TJ’s Restaurant and Sports Lounge are great places to dine, as well as some local family-owned spots. A short drive outside of New Stanton, you’ll discover Westmoreland County Community College and Valley Green Golf club. Travel to Pittsburgh and other surrounding areas by way of Interstate 76 and 70.

Property Ratings at Timber Ridge Apartments
This is the worst place I’ve ever had to deal with living wise. The property manager is nothing but rude. I’ve witnessed her screaming at other tenants and been yelled at myself by her. They don’t maintain their property and then blame anything on the tenants. Example: branches fall off of trees and the trees are everywhere all along the parking. Well, they will fall on your car and the property manager will tell you that that’s your issue to deal with. This has happened on SEVERAL occasions. So if you move in here don’t drive a brand new car! Also parking spots are super tiny and don’t accommodate anything over a small sedan. You aren’t guaranteed parking and most times you have to park and walk from another building to where you live because you have nowhere to park. I do not recommend living here to anyone.
Hello! We have lived at timber ridge for several Years now. It’s in a great location only 2 mins from turn pike, several mins from Greensburg and 30 mins from Pittsburgh depending on traffic. It’s a very quiet area, 2 nice neighborhoods across the street that we walk often and the people are extremely friendly! The apartments are very clean as well as the outside landscaping and parking lot. Alissa is amazing!!! Very quick at answering questions, always professional, super down to earth, and will always help out when needed. I hope you chose to make Timber ridge your home like we have for several years!
Property Manager at Timber Ridge Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so very much for all your kind words. We truly appreciate it!! And we are very happy that you enjoy living at Timber Ridge.
I began looking for a place in the fall of 2016. I looked and compared many units throughout the area and had no problem making my decision to which rental was the best choice. After a solid month a what seemed like endless viewings it became quite clear that Timber Ridge not only had the better qualities but it also had plenty of different sized living spaces (total sq ft) to choose from. I've lived here for quite some time now and I have to say that this rental property is one of the cleanest, well maintained properties you can find. I've had nothing but prompt measures taken any time I have had a situation. The maintenance is kind and courteous. The management is a blessing and dedicated to the needs of the tenants, as should be. The extra effort does not go unnoticed. I just want to say Thank You for making my stay here one of the best :) E-Building

Property Manager at Timber Ridge Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for our 5 start review!! We truly appreciate it!!
I have lived here a few months and I love it! Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Staff have been friendly and very helpful at answering any questions I've had. Very happy with decision to rent here!
I lived there for a couple of years. I'm moving because I bought a house. The apartment wasn't bad, considering the age. Staff was always nice and polite. The property was kept neat and clean. I really liked the rural setting. I would recommend renting here to anyone.
This apartment complex is not worth the time or money. Rent is overpriced for the area. Make sure you read your lease agreement because they will try and charge you for every little thing. If you read your lease move out agreement you will see how much they will try and suck every penny out of you. Don't ever rent from here.
Place is way over priced for what you get. Have to pay top dollar for electricity and water every month. About 70-100/month for electricy and 50-80/month for water and sewage. Make sure that you're willing to stay for your whole lease agreement because the cancellation fee is going to be between 4-5k! Yes that's not a typo. 4-5 thousand. Property manager doesn't really have any common courtesy and doesn't try help you try to save any money. It was a good learning experience to where not to rent. I would recommend people to stay away from the place. It's right next to a major high way too so the noise level is high.
The manager here is awesome. So sweet and helpful. Have not moved in yet but from looking around the area from Connellsville to New Stanton this appears to be the cleanest and safest looking neighborhood. I will be moving soon though.
