Property Ratings at Timbers Apartments
It's affordable for McCall and a decent location. That's about the extent of the positives. Repairs take a long time. One room had mushrooms growing through the carpet for the first 9 months of our stay, with no rent reduction. The blinds break easily and are fragile and expensive due to their size. Appliances are old and fragile. Wiring will shudder as things are plugged in, if the outlets even work. Walls are thin between apartments. There was a gap under our door; dusts and drafts blew in during property maintenance. 2 years into our stay, we found out from other tenants that a man died in our apartment prior to our move-in, explaining the damage to the exterior window screens and the door frame we noted during the initial walkthrough. Laundry machines eat your change. Our shower wall peeled away from the tub and the fix was ultimately an attempt to use caulk to glue it into place along the rim of the tub. Large strips of double-sided tape covered the kitchen floor from the previous tenant and had to be removed by me after 2 months of asking for removal. A square foot section of linoleum exposed the foundation in the kitchen for the entirety of our stay. Our kitchen light went out and was replaced with an older and smaller fixture that exposed a hole into the rafters. Mold came up through the carpets. A leak created by the apartment in front of us seeped up through our bedroom carpet and damaged one of our nightstands, and the stain it pulled out damaged a section of carpet. The water created a mold issue and forced my 8-months pregnant wife and I to sleep on our couch in the living room for a month while the repairs took place. The repairs did not include fixing the stain and did not include a reduction in rent for our inconvenience. Regardless of our patience and the work we did to keep and leave the apartment in as good of, if not better, shape than it was when we moved in, it was all for nothing with regard to our deposits. When we moved after the birth of our child (due to career opportunities and for our cumulative health given the conditions) we found out that our deposits were used for "repairs". Ultimately, here's my advice: The Timbers are the most space for your money in McCall, and in a great location, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for and that you likely will not receive anything back for your trouble. That said, if I could leave it again, I wouldn't make any effort to clean up, as they will keep your money either way.
TERRIBLE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.. We have been here a year and literally nothing on our list got fixed except two screens that took three months to get,the door was fixed incorrectly it doesn't shut right, gets stuck when it heats up outside.. there is linoleum coming up in the kitchen thats a trip hazard, the backsplash is coming off the kitchen walls, the carpets were not ever cleaned properly old stains coming back up from pet owners previously, the sidewalks are cracked not to code it's a terrible place to live. Everyone is afraid to say anything because they can't find housing in McCall very easily so the keep their mouth shut. the washer and dryer has never worked right..ive lost $15 in them and have never been reimbursed. Terrible communication and terrible place to live
