Property Ratings at Toledo Club Apartments
If I could give this place a negative review I will. The absolute worse management ever. The show no remorse and concerns. I've been complaining for over a month and absolute no response. The property manager hung up on me 3x and was very rude and dismissive
We use to take pride living here but for the past few years it's become an embarrassment. Lack of landscaping. Weeds are not supposed to be bushes! We work constantly to try to keep bugs & roaches at bay but they are in the walls. When we needed a new thermostat the maintenance man jumped! It's not the maintenance crew. They just don't have enough good help. Broken lights throughout complex results in my not feeling safe coming home in the eve. Random non-residents use the pool. Pool bath consistently broken. It's sad to see such deteriation over the last few years but of course, rent goes up yearly by a couple hundred dollars. It's not going towards upkeep!
We have lived here for a couple of years now and can make a review about this place. With the prices of rent increasing, these apartments become less and less of a good place to live especially with some of my favorite reasons below: -Don't expect management to be around long as this complex has a high turn over rate and has been sold to another company while we have lived with. You will never deal with the same people. -Even emergencies are nit emergencies when it comes to maintenance. We have personally had many work orders over the years be marked completed without any one coming to check in the issue. Expect to put in multiple work orders for the same thing. -Dogs crap everywhere and there is no punishments for not picking it up. Dog crap will remain all over the grass around the buildings until the lawn crew runs it over.
If you expect to get your deposit back when you move from here, good luck. They will find things to replace that aren’t necessary and you will end up paying them hundreds of dollars instead.
While using my range which is in my apartment, the I heard a loud pop and discovered my stove shut off. I then opened the oven door at which time electrical smoke began exiting the oven. I then attempted to reactivate the stove through the breaker. After reactivating the stove through the breaker, electricity shot out from the back of the range and the breaker shut off again. I then contacted the management office for Toledo Club Apartments and was told by Cassandra, that this was not an emergency issue and maintenance could respond and take a look tomorrow. I then brought up the fact that I have a family to cook for and that it is not normal for electricity to come out of the back of the stove. Cassandra then stated she would contact maintenance and call me back. After returning my call, Cassandra again stated that this was not an emergency matter and the maintenance worker told her that it "should" be ok if the breaker is off. I again brought the fact up about being unable to use my range at which time Cassandra told me to use the microwave. Cassandra then stated "there is also take out" that I could purchase. I asked if she or the management office was going to pay for it at which time Cassandra stated "Honestly, if you have a problem, you can call back tomorrow and speak to my manager Jamie." I then ended our phone conversation. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They truly do not care about their tenants!
Very disappointed in this place. To begin with, the place is overpriced and rent goes up yearly for no reason. The carpet and appliances are very old. The pet fee is a non-refundable $300 plus $15 per month. They charge you a set price for water regardless of how much water you consume. My water bill used to be under $25 or $30 every month prior to this new management company, and when they took over they said it would be a set charge of $50, regardless of use. Mind you, I traveled for months due to work and was never home. I did not consume much water. The A/C broke several times during the three years I lived there, especially during the summer. One of those times, countless of my clothes and shoes got damaged by what seemed like mold. They said it was moisture from the A/C vent due to too much or little Freon. I couldn't quite get their reasoning. Instead of replacing these old A/C units, they kept doing quick fixes. Do not expect any of your deposit back as they will make up charges to equal the deposit. Even though I left the place exactly the way it was when I moved in, they made up charges so I would not get the deposit back. They charged me over $600 to cover a few small holes from hanging curtains and to replace the carpet, which was very old and stained when I moved there 3 years ago. Tenants should not be charged for the replacement of carpet due to normal use. Every so many years, carpets should be replaced by the company, especially when rent is so overpriced. If you plan to move there, make sure to fill out the Statement of Condition thoroughly and document every single detail. Otherwise, you will get charged for their renovations to the apartment when you move.
My husband (retired NY Law & Enforcement) and I have been living here for almost 3 years and LOVE IT!! While searching for a place were were very particular and Toledo Club has met and far exceeded all our expectations!! The office staff and management are AMAZING....always friendly and accommodating!! With a gym and 2 pools on property and a top notch ER next door and Publix up the street....you can't go wrong here!! Looking forward to to renewing our lease in the Spring!! - A Biamonte
This is a great place to live. From my apartment to the facilities, everything is kept clean and up-to-date. The management people I dealt with - Jim and Jamie - were always very helpful when I had questions regarding deposits, pro-rates, etc. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone relocating to North Port. -Don Angell
This is by far the worst apartment I have ever been in you won't get any sleep I can promise you that the walls are so thin you hear everything they try saying it's concrete when it is and I even came into the apartment smelling of cinnamon which my nose and lungs don't like I basically started having a reaction to it plus everyone blares their music or morning talk show at 6 in the morning just save your money and rent a house.
Let's start by saying that I've moved around, a lot. I've have the privilege of living in some great states, in beautiful apartments under great management. Toledo Club Apartments is (out of the 14 apartments I've leased over the past 20 years) by far the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. Here are some of the 17 reasons not to move in to Toledo Club apartments (rest can be found on yelp and facebook) 3. Sprinklers: it took me 6 months of me begging in both writing and calling for the management company to move the sprinklers from shooting directly into my apartment ruining countless objects and creating mold and green algae in my apartment and on the porch. 5. The sink. Ugh. I was blown away to learn in the first hour of me arriving that there is no sprayer on the sink. So washing dishes to put them into the dishwasher is now your new hobby. 9. Walls. They say that it's all concrete construction but I don't think I would have heard my former upstairs neighbor beat his wife or my most recent upstairs neighbor vacuum her floors. You can hear everything! 13. Security. There ARE gates, however they are never in use & are broken. I've had my car broken into and my neighbors have had their bikes stolen among other things. it's gotten so bad that some of the neighbors are currently trying to start their own "neighborhood watch". 14. Maintenance staff. If privacy is no big deal for you & you don't mind the maintenance employees going through your trash & opening your mail then Toledo Club apartments might be for you! Maybe the trash was too full, like it is every day, so you put it out next to the dumpster with all the other tenant's who dropped their trash off during what appears to be mount rubbish, well you'll get a lovely call scolding you about your trash not being placed in the bin & how do they know?, because they opened your trash to find mail & see who the trash belongs to. It's really strange to look outside your window & see one of the maintenance employees placing your discarded mail into an envelope for collection. You'll also never need to worry about missing mail as the office staff will take it upon themselves to photocopy it for their records & yours!, just ask my most recent next door neighbor!
This is a beautiful community with beautiful apartments. I would just be weary of the management company. We have had two in the past year and neither one has been useful. The current company nit picks every single little thing when you move out and over charges for repairs. I had one room that needed to be painted should of been $100 instead I get told they decided to repaint the whole apartment and stuck me with the $200 bill. Also had one dirt mark on my carpet about 5 inches wide easily cleanable. I got told it would be $300 to bleach the carpet and dye it. It was dirt how about we try a steam cleaner first. They also charge a ridiculous pet fee then any damage the pet causes is another charge and they always find something to charge you for. I asked them to look into the charges and it takes them over a month and me calling them to get a response. They then sent me my renewal prices and up-charged $100 a month, at that price I could go live in Sarasota not in no where North Port.
The Toledo club apartments are great! The atmosphere is nice. The are is close to shops highways and schools. The complex amenities as awesome. The pool area is family oriented. They have a playground nice gym and a path to walk around the apartment. The apartments on inside are up to date spacious rooms and they come with washer and dryer. They patio is great to sit and relax. We have a nice view of the sunset. I'm so glad I moved to this area of north port fl and Toledo Club apartments!
If you're an ant farmer, this is the place for you!! Pest control stinks there!! The management there ONLY care about the $$$$$!! Lived there for a couple years, and when they found out I was moving they increased rent every other month until I left!!
This is a great property to live in. It has all the amenities: pool, gym, tennis courts, business office, walking trail around the beautiful lake. Everything is very well maintained and all staff is extremely helpful.
