Property Manager at Top of the Park, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear you're enjoying your home and our team's service.
Lived here for 4 years a while ago experience was great. Thought I was coming back to that. Wrong. Not a moment of peace when upstairs residents are home. Restless people who are always walking around in their unit for hours on end so I'm forced to hear nonstop floor creaking. They talk and play music /TV so loudly that it can be heard in my unit, they run the garbage disposal for 25-30 sec at times, and constantly drop heavy objects that produce loud thuds...and all this commonly continues into the early morning hours (1am-4am weekdays, weekends...doesn't matter); they damaged my bedroom wall the day after my walkthrough tour with what maintenance believed to be a cleaning agent. I no longer believe in the "community" pitch that I came to believe in, due to the residents unwillingness to adjust even a little after the noise level they create was brought to their attention by the property manager multiple times. I also no longer regard the property manager as someone who can influence change the way I once did. I pay rent just as upstairs residents but because I live beneath them I was told in so many words that it's just something that I have to adjust to or endure until I decide to leave the unit (after just five months of moving in). Onboarding experience was dreadful this time around also. Told during office hours around 3-4pm that unit keys would be made available to me for pickup, I came to pick them up after work at 9pm, they weren't there so my time was wasted. Scheduled a 9:45am tour of Apt, got there on time, but was put on hold as Mahogany talked with who may have been a contractor for several minutes as I waited in my unit. Tour finally began 30 min. later., she didn't feel compelled to apologize for the inconvenience of having me wait on her for the tour or for having me waste a trip to pick up keys that weren't there, she just jumped straight into the tour as if all was normal. Had no Wi-fi connection for several weeks because of repair work done on balcony prevented technician from having access to door located on balcony. Just an overall bad experience, which could possibly be a distant memory if I didn't have to deal with the residents above me and their continued thoughtless behaviour serving as a constant reminder of this unfortunate reality. The maintenance guys and the cleaners are still as I remembered them my first time around---proficient, reliable, and nice people---so there is the silver lining.
This is a place to be! I have been short of words to rate Ms. Kia and Ms. Mahogany. From day 1, Ms. Kia has been so professional and energetic. She responds to every request with a big smile and courtesy. Ms. Mohogany later joined the leasing office team with same spirit! Top of the Park is very clean (the cleaner does a wonderful job every morning and she is very polite), no mice nor roaches, and the maintenance team always respond in a timely manner. I have lived here for over a year and I appreciate every moment here. No stealing of packages, no commotion, secured entrance etc Thank you Ms. Kia and Ms. Mahogany for making a difference when it comes to leasing personnels !
Lived here for a little over a year. Mahogany and Kia are amazing! They are a joy to be around. The neighborhood is safe.
I lived in Top of the Park for over a year and a half from June 2016 to late January 2018. Kia, Property Manager, her assistant Raquel and all of the other worker were all great with me in terms of customer service during my time there as a resident. The property was always clean. There were no safety concerns. If I had any concerns about anything, Kia made sure to address them in a sufficient time span. They were always welcoming at all times. They sent out communications about the pest exterminations and maintenance updates on the property in a timely manner. The cost of living is kind of high but worth it with the calm environment and wonderful customer service you will get from staying here.
complete customer satisfaction. Today is my first time to visit this property as a future resident. Fortunately i met Mrs Kia one of the property managers----- this woman is amazing and outstanding. She is a servant and relational leader--- such leaders thrive and are productive. i was in her office to shopping around for a new apartment as we are talking an other future resident was calling to move in the following day as planned .But she honestly told her that, the maintenance found out a serious plumbing problem in the apartment. i mean this woman is so proactive she immediately called another manager in one of the southern management properties to inquire if their any available property for this woman to move in. She made the connections real fast the the future resident was accommodated immediately. Positive tone, great connections with residents, paying attention to present and future customers and inhibiting dangers withing the property for the safety of all residents is her priority. I will love to live here with my family. If you are looking for a community to grow and experience what true leadership is ----- Top of the park is ONE.
If you are looking to be tucked away into a neighborhood, then this is for you. Minutes from public transportation to save on gas. A park right across the street where you can grill, play, or cool off in the summer. Great staff that are here to help whenever needed and know each resident by name. Southern Management is awesome for a reason and Top of the Park continues to surprise and amaze me with what they bring to the plate for their residents. best place to go around here is hands down Busboys and Poets. Get in an awesome mimosa then come back home and soak up the view. That is my Saturday once a month.
I love my apartment as well as the community. The staff here is just amazingly humble. The team at our community always make everyone feel right at home. Wonderful location, walking distance from metro, wonderful restaurants, the mall and a lot of amazing historic landmarks as well.
