Property Ratings at Tor View Village Apartments
The ladies in the leasing office are really nice, also helped us answer all our questions. When viewing the apartment it was beautiful. Fingers crossed ??
I lived in 3 Apts all very Awsome, yes I moved after a few years thinking I was saving money only to return after one year, Third apt I lived in for seven years a total of 10 years . The maintenance on point and the apt updated all on point .
I went to visit this property as I am looking to rent. The young woman who was showing the property was VERY RUDE! I asked her a simple question about the security deposit and her response was "regular rental stuff- is this your first time renting?" In addition, the apartments aren't that nice as the pictures show- they are very outdated with terrible carpeting and the buildings smell moldy.
I have lived in many places in my life; I have had my fair share of positive and negative experiences with various complexes. I feel compelled to write a review due to some of the negative remarks that have been made. First off, I think it is important to note that if you move into an apartment complex, which is a SHARED space, you will not always be happy with and how things are done. It's just impossible to make 100 residence all happy at the same time. Therefore it is up to management to do their best and make the best decisions they can to keep us happy and to keep their business thriving. This is exactly what is done by the Tor View Village staff. Their staff is down to earth and real; they do their best to keep the surrounding property looking neat and clean. They have enforced a strict yet fair and effective parking situation for their residents. Like any other complex run by HUMANS, they are bound to and have made mistakes BUT they own up and apologize right away. For the price, location, and service...Tor View Village can't be beat. Plus they offer MANY MANY perks to their residents during the year, especially when you move in and eventually renew your lease. I couldn't be more thankful than to be a resident here. I feel welcomed and safe living here. I wouldn't look anywhere else and I would advise you all to do the same!
Their employees let the contractors park in your ASSIGNED parking spaces randomly, they hardly follow through on maintenance calls (example: lights in front of 2 of the buildings have been out for about a week now), and they weasel out of some of the early lease resigning bonuses even though they don't have any "fine print" regarding any stipulations. Been here about 6-7 years and now can't wait to move!
I've been living here with my husband for 8 months and we're counting down to our move-out date. It can't come fast enough. The maintenance staff makes any excuse to come check on random things in the apartment. They give you a 9am-4pm window on whatever weekday they choose. So if you are someone with a real job, count on strangers entering your apartment and going through your things when you're not home. We have been renting all over for just about 10 years and have never dealt with a company like this. They've requested their THIRD visit within the 8 months of being here. I could go on with more complaints but if I just knew about this while apartment searching, it would have been enough to turn me away.
by far the worst place ived ever rented from....I lived here for about 3 years never had an issue, then they changed the staff in the office, and I went downhill from there, I saw 3 mice in my apartment when I called to complain they went several days after, put 1 trap never went back to check them. my husband had to buy new ones and check for mice. there was mold in my bathroom and I would always call to report it until bill (manager)told us it was our responsibility to clean. from the outside it looks like a clean nice place to live but beware, and your deposit forget about it, they will do anything to keep it. also their office staff is rude, beware if you report damage to your apartment over the phone , they will say you never did and when you move youll pay for it even if you didn't damage it.
I have lived in many condos and apartment complexes over the years in Philadelphia, NYC and Connecticut and by far the management and maintenance people at Tor View has been the best. There is little staff turnover, most of the maintenance staff have been here since we moved in. Management is always making improvements and have also implemented resident suggestions, i.e. a special designated and safe area for motorcycles. I feel very safe here and have had to do laundry late at night and feel comfortable doing so. There is 24/7 Resident Services for emergencies and they have always been available at that number. They are very pet friendly and many residents have pets. Overall, it is a community minded complex, that is clean and safe.
The reason why i am interested in Tor view village apartments there safe and reliable. I need to live somewhere safe. I would really like to live at 1 kensington circle, garnerville,ny 10923. when given a chance, I will not disappoint you. i will be living alone with no one to bother me.
