Property Ratings at Torino Villas
First off, all 5stars reviews are not genuine, they are fake. The entire leasing office staff is unprofessional and disrespectful. Zero customer service. The community is dirty (animal waste everywhere) and unsafe. I got my car stolen twice in a span of 6 months. I received no compassion from the leasing office staff. Cockroach infestation is real. The bathroom is disgusting. If you think the bathroom infestation is bad, just go into the kitchen and u will be welcomed and greated by baby roaches days crawling everywhere. The fridge, the oven and cabinets are worst. The water gets shut off almost everyday. I will give them a Zero Star if i could. Trust me this place is not worth your time, money and the frustration that you will go through. Saying that my esperience with Torino Villas was a nightmare is an understatement. Believe me all the negative reviews that u see are truthful and sincere.

I have had 2 cars stolen within the last 4 months from the covered parking! When I brought it up to management they did not follow up with me about it, just charged me money to get replacement parking stickers. I do not feel safe here and will not be renewing the lease. Also, I had both the A/C and heater not work when we needed it the most! Maintenance closes out tickets when they didn't complete the work order.

I am so dissatisfied with this apartment complex! Pests all over the place, inside and outside! There was a break-in in the apt across from me 2 days ago!! Someone stole my catalytic converter...there are no cameras to pin point anyone who did it! Mgmt is just plain out rude. This new mgmt team is no better than the last. We get text messages to our phones reminding us to pay the rent AND also reminding us that we still can't use amenities that we pay for or we will receive a lease violation!! Oh and let's not forget...when you get online to view Torino Villas...it still lists pool and fitness center as amenities!! Go figure! I'm on my 2nd lease and still have yet to use the gym or pool! I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I'm done. Sorry to vent...

I have been living here for 2 years, there is new management and they are wonderful. The maintenance do the work orders correctly.
Honestly the WORST apartments I’ve ever lived in. Please don’t rent from these people. This has got to be the worst experience ever living in an apartment. The Ac for MULTIPLE resident did not work for the first few months IN THE SUMMER and when I tell you it was unbearable, im just glad I didn’t have children but you would see people sitting outside because it was too hot to stay inside. I and several other residents have reported them to the city but nothing has been done. Please for your safety and your families DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Maintenance is a joke they don't complete work orders in a timely manner. Management treat's you like you don't pay rent and treat you like a cry baby for wanting customer service. They give you the run around by stating that they are going to resolve your issue and they don't. Apartment was infested with fleas at move in and blamed it on me. They took there sweet time to get issue resolved. I had to stay at another place until they finally got pest control to fix the issue. So I was basically paying for rent for an apartment that was unhabitable due to being attack by fleas. Ventilation doesn't work apartment doesn't get cold. Management and maintenance are shady. I don't really feel safe. Really stressful environment. This are just some of the issues. I gave up on management.I am really looking forward to move out due to living conditions.Positive note apartment are spacious great location but that doesn't matter when you get treated like a bum that is staying there for free. Corporate really needs to get involved and protect there investment.
The new management is no better. No how matter how many time you put in a work order they won't complete it. They sure will charge for the damages after you move out even though you had continuously contacted about issues with the apartment. The place is a mess. The pool is a swamp. They neglect the property. There is a bug infestation. A new paint job doesn't change all the ugly underneath.
This place is a horrific mess. I’ve only been here a few months and have had numerous amounts of problems from billing to apartment issues. When filing out maintenance requests, they never complete them or they say they did and it’s still not fixed.. When people say do not move here THEY MEAN IT. This place is an absolute joke. They treat they’re residents poorly. The living conditions are not up to par with what you have to deal with. I’ve lived in three other apartment complexes and had issues here and there but living here has been a nightmare. New management after new management, THEY ARE STILL HORRIBLE.
Roaches, neighbor bit by rat, homeless people cruising through the garbage.Poorly staffed and they change staff every 60 to 90 day due to work load.ac doesnt work. This place still has boilers.Boilers that dont work.
No pest control. Constantly changing management. They will not fix anything but they will come to your house a few times to make it look like they are doing something they don't care about your living conditions or your family. Ive had a leak for 5weeks still not fixed!!!
Old management was very nice and always took care of me, but the new management is not military friendly at all and the manager is almost never available for some reason when problems arise. 3 different management companies have taken over within the last 2 months and everything is mixed up. There is water damage due to flooding in many of the first floor units according to many of the residents there. There are so many roaches in this apartment complex it's insane and I pay every month for pest control. Every month there is a long line of civilians and military service members complaining about inadequate billing and methods of payment; it's ridiculous how incompetent the office staff are. Would not recommend to anybody.
I have lived here for more than two years, but when my lease is up I will be moving. The new management company is horrible, and it seems they care very little for their residents. In September, my building was without hot water for more than a week, and they wouldn't even give us any concession. I called yesterday to report my a/c wasn't working. Then I went to the office around 5:30 to see why it wasn't fixed, and I was promised it would be fixed that evening. It wasn't, and I spent a sleepless night in my hot apartment. I called first thing this morning (Oct. 3rd), and the girl was surprised it hadn't been fixed. She told me the repairman would be at my apartment shortly. An hour later I called again, and was told the maintenance guy was in a meeting and would be over as soon as the meeting finished. Two hours later I called again, and this time I was told he would be there by 6 pm! I am getting the run around, and it is very frustrating. They let the pools become like swamps, and there have been several other complaints about the condition of the dog park and the laundry rooms. The complex has nice floorplans, but I don't recommend living here!
Let me start by stating which apartment complexes I've lived in prior as a reference point: -The Outpost (near UTSA) -Stoneybrook Apartments -The Hills at Woodway -Plaza de Ville I can say without a doubt that Alamo Hillside (now known as Torino Villas) is THE WORST apartment complex I've ever lived in. Here are a list of complaints: -Parking sucks! Most of the parking spaces are taken up by the paid parking slots ($20 per car). If you want to find close parking space, you will be lucky if there are any left by 6:00 PM. -Management: The apartment recently changed management and I can tell you they are worse than the previous one. Since taking over they have stopped receiving your mail at their front office, they don't answer emails, they stopped accepting checks and money orders for rent and try to force you to pay through their online portal that doesn't even work. There was an incident at the parking lot where police were called in THREE times which started early in the morning and management was not to be seen until it was past 5 PM. -Cockroaches... THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! I can say objectively, this apartment has the worst pest problem I've ever seen in any apartment I've lived in. I've told the front office numerous times the apartment is full of roaches and have yet to see Pest Control show up. -Maintenance Service: You will be lucky if you see your maintenance request answered within the month. If your AC is malfunctioning during summer... Good luck.... In short... Don't even consider this place... The price isn't worth it. Go live elsewhere...
Came in to ask about maintenance request from a week ago. When I walked in appeared nobody was there, but all staff was in one office. I was going to ask if they got the pictures we sent this morning...one lady immediately accused me of recording them with my phone. Told me so many people have been coming in and doing that. Caught me so off guard, I showed her I wasn’t recording anything and said that I just was following up on maintenance request. She said I’d have to call on Monday and speak to Managet Alfred. Didn’t write anything down, gave me attitude the whole time. Apparently these apartments have a lot going on, could have just told me their swamped, but the attitude was completely unnecessary. I’ve been here 3 yrs, I Can’t wait to get out.
I was so optimistic this was a diamond on the ruff. It was advertised as newly renovated, nice area, tuckee away. No they failed to inform me of the horrid parking and most nights im walking a third a mile from my car to my apt. They just changed management AGAIN! And when they dud they didnt inform anyone that they would be shutting down the website we use to pay, & charged us all a late fee because it was a holiday weekend and they where closed. Tried to pay the week before and was told to come back the next week because they where switching over and now im stick paying late fees. They don't communicate with each other or with us. On top of the numerous problems with the living conditions themselves. Roofing issues which I now have mold of my ceiling. Foundation issues, sometimes a door will shut sometimes it won't. Lets not forget the icing if you walk anywhere after dark it's hardly lit and we have MULTIPLE SKUNKS that live here too so pray you or your pet doesn't get skunked in the night.
I have to say the staff and maintenance here are doing a wonderful job!!! I am so proud to call this my home!!!
When I first toured this property, the renovations were still underway. From the model I was shown, the upgrades were awesome... Then I moved in and it became a different story. First of all I was promised zero carpet and ended up on the 2nd floor with wall to wall carpet. The water situation ion this property is also extremely disappointing. There is 1 water heater to ever building of about 15 apartments, which means if ANYONE in your building flushes a toilet and you're in the shower you will be SCALDED. I use the word scalded because they keep the water heater insanely high regardless of my complaints. Additionally I have suspicions that the foundation is slipping in my building. Every few months my doors don't match up with the door jams and they have to be sanded. There is also cracking in the ceiling/wall creases. I have expressed my concerns to maintenance and nothing has been done. Lastly I'd like to comment on the management of this property. It is heinous. I pay for a covered parking spot and if someone is parked in my space I have to wait 24 hours before they can be towed. Every single time I put in a work request, I am never notified of the work has been completed. The request just gets closed out and sometimes it appears to be fixed and other times I just can't tell. In summation, I would not recommend this property to anyone I know. The cons just outweigh the pros. I will be moving out next month.
Apartment is not only in an ideal location but they are recently renovated and pretty nice. Maintenance can be a little slow getting to you for minor things, but they always make it around.
This place is awful! The management team could care less if they provide suitable living conditions or that they're constantly breking the renters agreement. With south Texas summer days averaging over 100°, you would hope to at least have a functioning ac unit, but rather then fixing what is broken, the outstanding maintenence team offers the great advice of purchasing curtains because we can't expect it to be 70° in here all the time. Apparently it's normal for the ac to be 15° above the temperature we have it set to. They take week's to respond to maintenence requests and the management team is terrible. Take this as Devine intervention.. DO NOT MOVE HERE
