Nestled between First National Business Park and the Platte River, Elkhorn acts as the transition between the bright-light ambiance of urban Omaha and the vast prairie that extends from the outskirts of the city for hundreds of miles. Northeast outer Elkhorn comprises mostly subdivisions that provide residents with the type of tranquility that you expect living in a remote rural town in western Nebraska.
Yet, a quick drive east on U.S. Highway 6 brings you to the doorstep of some of the best restaurants and nightlife found in the entire area. Elkhorn receives statewide recognition for running one of the highest-rated school districts in the state. By taking a 10-mile drive, you can reach downtown Omaha to the east and Two Rivers State Recreational Area to the west.

Property Ratings at Torrey Pines
Love the large tub, large rooms, and the grassy spaces, but the items on my move in list from one month ago still have not been taken care of. I realize everyone is understaffed, but we have to live here. Apartments are very quiet and I feel safe and secure, but very dirty on move in. On call weekend maintenance seems on top of it.
Management doesn’t care about residents. Office hours are 9-5 closed Saturday and Sunday.?! How are working people supposed to go to the office for anything? Pool is always closed, NEVER any parking. Office will tell you to go park on the street, but people can have 3 or more cars and not even use them parked in stalls. They never ever fix anything in a timely manner, nothing is ever emergency to them like no hot water!!! If they come “fix” something expect it to be NOT fixed in a couple days. Winter time they are horrible at clearing the stalls of snow. They are constantly getting new maintenance and office people every 2-3 months. Take my word and RUN do NOT move here. Read all their reviews on any page possible.
I am a current resident, managemant is horrible. Took 6 weeks to replace microwave handle that was broke when I moved in. All the windows have major drafts comeing through. The fireplace sometimes works. Stay away!
The office is impossible to get ahold of. Nine times out of ten, nobody answers the office phone. I have to remind them every day about a maintenance request until it gets completed...which typically takes at least a week. Leaking washing machine? They don’t care. Broken garbage disposal? They take it out and don’t replace it. Air conditioner is broken? Wait 3 summer days and have to argue with the maintenance guy before they’ll do anything. Steer clear of this place. It isn’t worth the frustration.
i moved in just a couple of week ago and think the apartments are great! very spacious for the amount of money. i have nice neighbors and the management staff is very nice and helpful...so far so good! there are just a couple of minor things...first the parking lots could use a good sweeping and maybe some of the cement could be fixed...and maintenance can be a little slow...
If your looking for an apartment this is the place to go, for the rent it’s a great price, you get an indoor and outdoor pool, full gym, huge garages, nice neighbors, pool table room, big club house to host parties, and best of all you get Gavin and Kelly, they are the two BEST BEST BEST property managers, any problems in the house gets taken care of literally that same day or next day, PROPS to the maintenance team! YAY Torrey Pines!!!

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Torrey Pines!
Just moved a month ago, I already felt how is to be "welcomed" at "Torrey Pines Omaha". I was given a page to write down an inspection review... I completely filled it with observations. There isn't enough space to put down everything I found WRONG about the apartment and garages I rented. Actually, I added more observations than those considered in the list. NOTE: I have pictures for most issues. Several issues maybe are minor, but there're VERY SERIOUS that seem that Management don't seem to care about. The most serious issues I found were: - Garbage disposal broken. Issue is fixed, someone trow a spoon inside. How could this not be seen when previous renter left? - Dryer vent not connected. Issue is fixed, however how come they just rent the unit without checking this beforehand? THIS IS A SERIUOUS FIRE HAZARD! - Furnace-WaterHeater is a MESS. This issue HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. There are a lot of spiderwebs, dust and lint covering both the furnace and water-heater, looks like they have not been services FOR YEARS. I reported this issue, but seems like Management DOESN'T CARE. On the previous issue I pointed that the Dryer Vent wasn't connected... I can't see if it is clean from lint, but after seeing the heater and furnace, I CAN BET IT ISN'T (FIRE HAZZARD!). Management sent maintenance request to solve the previous issues, but they DIDN'T CLEAN NEITHER HEATER NOR THE FURNACE, THIS IS A SERIOUS FIRE HAZZARD! - I rented 2 garages. Both garages have large oil stains on the floor. One of them, has a serious water leak in one of the walls and IS COMPLETELY FULL OF DIRT AND GARBAGE, at least I would expect someone in Management would send anyone to clean it before it was rented. Both garages have malfunctions in the automatic door motors. Looks like they have not been inspected and maintained in years. Remotes hardly work and the keypad "genie" outside in very bad shape. One of my garage doors just STOP WORKING, my car is trapped inside. I have placed requests for maintenance by phone an email... have been 2 days without any response. 2 DAYS WITHOUT MY CAR. Due to this issue, now I'm afraid to put my other car inside the garage, to open its door I must be standing at least 2 feet infront of the door, pointing the remote directly to the door-engine. This is the 1st month, I hope these issues be addressed soon and "Torrey Pines Omaha" Management consider taking the required corrective measures FAST, so I can update accordingly.
The office staff is great to work with and any issues were resolved promptly. The size of the apartment is great for the price with both a indoor and outdoor pool along with a gym The location is great with grocery stores, retail stores and places to eat close by.

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Torrey Pines! We are always more than happy to assist you if anything else comes up. Take care!
It seems like all of the reviews are old and no longer reflect the quality of these apartments. The apartments are very large for what you pay, especially in this part of town. Very affordable compared to other places, plus they allow pets. The pools have always been fine, busy sometimes but that’s to be expected. The maintenance is always fast, completed same day even if you set it at a low priority. No issues with any pests, no bed bugs, not even a spider in my apartment that I’ve seen. The walls are a tad thin, but nothing you wouldn’t expect from any apartment. There are some cracks in my drywall and the sprinklers stick out a bit as though the walls have shifted, but it’s nothing noticeable or major. I can live with a few cosmetic imperfections, especially in a place that’s so good for the cost. I looked at maybe 6 other apartments in the area and this place is SO much better compared to the others for the price. Bigger, cleaner, nicer overall. The office staff have always been polite and helpful. The parking lot was repaired this summer, but there are still some bumps where drainage grates are set lower so water runs into them. But no crazy potholes at all. Snow removal this winter has been fantastic, it’s done around like 5 am, they shovel sidewalks and put down ice melt, as well as plowing the parking lot. The parking lot is safe, I’ve never seen anyone’s car broken in to - in the past, living at 108th and maple and 120th and center I would see cars with broken windows in my apt lot just about every week, but here i’ve never seen one break in like that. It might not be the fanciest apartment out there, but it’s pretty dang great for the affordability and the safe neighborhood.

Hello, thank you for sharing your positive experience! Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything we can do for you.
Management is horrible. They try to stick you when you move for all sorts of charges from painting to shampooing. of carpets. Very rude manager Ashley who also does not deal with complants and or work orders. Very bad place to call home. Also problems with flooding when it rains to ants and roaches.used to be well kept. Unfortunate place now to live.
I've written a review on this website once before, and it magically has been removed. The apartments here are terrible, not to mention all the pot holes throughout the parking lot that never get replaced. The only reason we haven't moved yet is because we've been waiting to find a house to buy. They WILL raise the rent on you EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you renew a lease, whether it's 6 months or a year. They claim it's to "keep up with the inflation". When I first moved here 4 years ago, my rent was $750 a month. It's now a little over $1200 a month. That's more than inflation. Sad part is I loved the place under the previous ownership when I first moved in. Then new ownership took place and it's been an absolute disrespectful trainwreck. I usually LOVE the apartment complexes I live in. This, sadly, is like a dark cloud to come home to every day after work. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

management is awful, as well as maintenance, Never changes furnace filters as well as they don't care.
Torrey Pines is perfect. Very spacious, upkept nicely, and very friendly staff. Plus the washer and dryer in the apartment is as handy as it gets. I feel like I live in a home :)
Although I chose a different community to live in, Torrey Pines was my overall top choice due to location and amenities. I decided to go with another apartment because of the specials they offered for new renters. Torrey Pines will definitely be in my thoughts for future rental.
I lived there for 3 yrs. Hope you don't work the night night because they could careless if you can get out of the complex during the snow season. I constantly had to try and call friends for a ride. The only good thing about the place is maintance. The workout area doesn't have any a/c so it's extremely tough to work out during the summer. The equipment is very old, and rusted.
Currently living here but getting ready to move due to living conditions. The indoor pool spends more time being repaired than enjoyed by the residents. The exercise room stinks. The treadmills are constantly broken. The office staff? Well let's just say they collect a pay check. The apartments are nice sized but to get anything repaired requires an act of congress (we all know how effective our congress has been the last few years). The hallway in my bldg. constantly smells like wet dogs. The parking lot is filled with pot holes. In the winter they don't keep the sidewalks shoveled or de-iced. The snow plows pile snow up in front of the garages making it impossible to get out of the garage without first shoveling. The noise that comes from the street is awful can't enjoy the balcony due to the noise. It takes me a good 25 minutes to make it from the apartment complex at 156th to the Interstate at 108th during rush hour traffic in the morning. Not worth the rent.
While the apartments are spacious that's the only nice thing I have to say. The office staff and maintenance are awful. Expect things that are broken to stay that way for months until you complain enough this list includes- the front door lock to the building, the inside hallway light because no one needs to see going to their second floor apartment, the outside door light, a water leak, a water-damaged floor and a non-draining sink. They also say they are dog friendly but expect nasty threatening notes on the door nearly weekly regarding your pet. Funny they have time to post those but not address dangerous conditions in the building. The apartment above ours also got bed-bugs and they weren't even going to inform us or treat our apartment because hey who doesn't want bugs. Terrible value for the money.
This was my second apartment with my wife. We couldn't be happier. We have a 2 bd 2 ba and love it! We would renew our lease but we will be moving out of state. Maintenance responds quickly and office staff is very friendly and helpful! The size is perfect too...very big for a 2 bedroom and we have a big dog and he loves the space too! Definitely would recommend Torrey Pines to anyone and everyone!
