Update 11/16/22 - Heat ALSO does not work. I set my heater last night to 85 and ranit for hours on end and had no hot air coming out and my apartment did not get above 65 degrees. ZERO HEAT. Pretty sure they are lying about having ac/ heat at all, it feels like it's just a fan. Update 10/7/22 - AC is supposedly fixed, doubtful but now the weather is cooling off and it doesn't even matter. Hot tub is constantly broken, assuming it's due to the amount of kids who are constantly playing in it and pushing the buttons. Update 9/2/2022 - I am now on my 3rd maintenance request to have my AC fixed… My apartment is currently 80+ degrees. I was called earlier today and was told it was fixed and got home around 11pm and my apartment is blistering hot. I am now calling the emergency line to get this fixed now… Meanwhile my AC has been running now for 24+ hours with ZERO ACTUAL AC. 8/26/22 - I found my living room sliding doors are installed incorrectly and my AC does not work. DO NOT MOVE IN without a FULL INSPECTION! They clearly do no inspect their apartments prior to anyone moving in…. SO DISAPPOINTED. Upon my move-in day, my bedroom closet reeked of cigarette smoke from the previous renter and I found gum stuck to my bedroom closet rail as well. During the first 2 days in the apartment, I had to submit multiple work orders for my washing machine not working/ missing parts, my dishwasher was missing parts and the top rack almost fell off and I almost lost an entire rack of glassware, my toilet also has to be repaired. The walls are thinner than I expected, I can hear my upstairs neighbor more than I anticipated. I politely asked my upstairs neighbor at 10pm to please lower his TV volume and was rudely given a response from him. I was not able to view the unit that I currently am in prior to moving in and based my decision off the model unit and the online dimensions posted. I have large bedroom furniture and once moved in I found it did not fit properly due to the dimensions of the room posted being in accurate. I am in a plan 6, the second bedroom is not 11x14, it is actually 10.5x13.5. Idk why they choose to lie about the bedroom dimensions which is frustrating for someone trying to plan where their furniture goes upon moving in. Highly disappointed.
Constant noise from excessive construction and landscaping year round. Customer service is also unresponsive.

I recommend you check other sites for reviews regarding this place it's nice but management tries to force you out once they can raise the rent there are numerous issues and they're not willing to work with you even the property manager has it listed that she specializes in effect turn over for profit on her linkin

Torrey villa was renovated 2 years ago. The property looks nice on the surface, but has many issues due to low grade materials. For example, the dryer doesn’t dry clothes well. The management team refuse to replace it despite their onsite maintenance guy said it was unfixable. The rent is above age even for the area, but the complex doesn’t offer above average living even close.

It used to be slightly more affordable compared to the other locations in the area. This is no longer the case. The price increases do not justify the facilities, noise and age of the units.
I lived in TV my first year in San Diego. I figured I'd give downtown a try - so moved into east village (wish I hadn't). The new constructions downtown...let's just say they don't make them like they used to! I hear everything through the floors and ceilings. Noise, homeless, litter, traffic...I cannot wait to move back to Torrey. It was always clean and quiet!!
Torrey Villas is Great place to live!! - It is definitely luxury resort style living and a great location. Our spacious apartment home has 9 foot ceiling; which make our place very open and beautiful for decor. Not to mention the world class amenities including a two-story clubhouse, fireside lounge, fitness center complete with a massage salon, two resort-style pools, as well as a putting green. All these daily amenities at our dispose is so nice to have, feels like I am living on a vacation; when I visit the resort style pools. Torrey Villas is definitely the perfect and safe environment to live! Torrey Villas absolutely lives up to their motto --> LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE :)
The location of Torrey Villas Luxury Apartment Homes is certainly ideally located off Hwy 5 and 56 bypass in San Diego North County... but as a resident for several years (to keep our daughter in the school district) we've endured 10% rent hikes yearly, maintenance inconveniences (1 year was monthly) and non-stop construction, pool closings, etc. The luxury price doesn't come with luxury treatment by office staff nor the serenity of a luxury home. The frequent notices of mandatory apartment entering to check one preventative maintenance item or another typically come with only 2-3 days warning. Terrible if you have pets or travel. Save lots of money and your sanity by renting elsewhere!
