Property Ratings at Tortuga Pointe by ARIUM
I moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom unit when my lease was up last month. What a disappointment. It is like the new apartment was not checked out prior to my moving in. From a broken kitchen faucet to broken smoke alarm, etc. Of the six windows in the apartment just one opens. Also incredibly the screens have mold on them. I have submitted several work orders, which have been ignored. Not sure what is up with the management or maintenance crew. Also, the pictures on the website must have been when the complex opened. Believe me the grounds, and particularly the flower beds, look nothing like the photos. Look elsewhere!
Tortuga Pointe has been my home for the last seven years since moving to Florida. At the time, I needed to secure a good apartment quickly and Tortuga management expedited the process to make it happen. First, it is a beautiful complex, and more well-built than the newer complexes going up; and they continue to keep upgrading it. The management has always responded to any of my requests and needs right away. And I've always felt safe here. A couple of years ago we got a new Property Manager and she has been consistently working to continue to keep the property looking and functioning well. We recently got a new Maintenance Supervisor who I know will be taking care of our maintenance needs with professionalism. I had an A/C issue over this past hot weekend and he worked so hard all weekend to make sure it was repaired professionally and completely and that I was comfortable. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful apartment with a tropical atmosphere I highly recommend Tortuga Pointe.

Wow - Thank you so much for your generous review and kind words about our staff and community at Tortuga Pointe! If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate to stop by our management office or give us a call at (833) 231-0704.
this place should be avoided at all costs. the management has really let the place go and does not actually care about the residents. They lied to us on multiple occasions to get us to renew our lease, much to our disappointment. it was the worst 2 years of apartment living i have ever experienced. they let the yard maintenance go, canceled the security patrol, multiple cars have been broken into. The walls are paper thin, hear everything from every neighbor, extremely limited parking, tons of noise from Gandy blvd, especially on friday and saturday nights. STAY AWAY!

I am a current resident with a small problem that doesnt seem to get fixed, nor does management seem to care. Over the past two months there is this annoying beeping sound from the sprinkler/fire closet below my apt. This goes on day and night and I have brought it to management and maintenance's attention multiple times and they will have the maintenance team reset it and it stops for maybe a few hours only to start back up again later in the day. I have been told a part needs to be replaced yet two months later its still on going.. This beeping noise is the last thing i hear before i go to bed and then first i hear in the morning and also while im studying for school test. What does it take to get resolution on such a simple problem???

Hi Jarrod - We can silence the fire panel box that is next to your apartment but when there is trouble it starts to beep. Silencing only lasts 30 minutes and ew reached out to our vendor and he will be out today to see why it is constantly beeping. If you have questions about any updates with this we recommend you contact our team in the office! Thank you for your patience, Jarrod.
I lived here for 1 year in a 2 bedroom with a roommate. It was a really nice apartment. Both bedrooms had attached bathrooms so it works really well for roommates. You can tell they take good care of it and clean it well in between. When we moved in, it looked like they installed all new carpeting. The on-site amenities are wonderful. I absolutely LOVED the sauna. It felt like living in a resort. I always felt so peaceful and calm walking around the beautiful courtyards. They are also a great place to grill out and have dinner with friends. I never used the pool but the cabana area looks really nice. My one complaint might be that they have a yoga deck but right after I moved in, they lost their yoga teacher and couldn't replace her. Too bad since they have the space for it. You could still use the space to relax, read, or do your own practice! The staff is also fantastic and very good with their communication. They email you right away when something is broken, and it's usually fixed the same day. I've never lived in a rental community that is so on top of repairs. This place is a little on the pricey side but if you can afford it, it's definitely a great place to be. Finding a close parking space is often difficult but come on let's not be lazy! Walking for a minute is no big deal. When you move in, they give you a gift bag with some essential items which is a really nice touch. I would have loved to live here longer but I ended up buying a house. When we moved out, they did a walk through inspection with us and didn't find any issues so we got the full security deposit back (minus final utility payment), and I received the check by mail about 2 weeks later. Highly recommended!
It's really nice for being about 5/6 years old. But with any apartment there are downfalls. Like it's supposed to be real secure but there are two gates broken. The pool is gross dirty around the edges. They seem to do things half way. But the landscaping is nice & the management is amazing!! The apartment sizes are nice & affordable. It's a great place. The positives outweighs the negatives for sure.
I dont even know where to start with my review. This could have been a great place to live, had they actually finished the construction properly. There was construction debris under my carpet, the windows were put in cockeyed so 2 didn't open, 2 wouldn't stay opened and the other 2 only worked when the weather was just right. I was missing 3 ceiling lights because they didn't order enough, or the workers sold them at the flea market. Who really knows. . Then there was the fact that the outside lights/street lights were always burned out. Or the fact there was only 3 dog waste stations that were never had bags and were always full of sh&t. Gas grills that never had gas tanks, no trash cans in common areas because that would requiring hiring staff to empty them, instead people just tossed their trash in the halls and parking lots. I cs but could go on for pages and page but you get the point.
Even though this apartment is lacking in sufficient storage space, especially for vacuum and brooms, and no coat closet, it is bright and cozy. Unfortunately the management insists on installing carpeting except on first floors and the smaller apartments on all floors. Given the percentage of renters who have 1 or more pets, and the Florida climate, this is ludicrous. I asked about replacing carpet with laminate and the corporation worries about "noise" ... when there is sufficient padding options that will alleviate noise they won't budge. But if you like carpeting, it is not the best. It is the cheapest available. So if it is new then it's nice. There is a 5 year lifespan. No guarantee you will get new carpeting if you stay for more than 5 years. Nor paint or other repairs.
This place is a joke. This place is overpriced but I decided to pay a little more for the amenities. I was ready to sign a lease until they called and changed my move-in date because "maintenance is backed up." Instead of hiring contractors or something to correct the issue, they I had turned down all the other apartments I had looked at when I made my decision. They expect me to just fork out another $1600 for additional hotel costs, storage, and other moving fees. And they won't even return my $85.00 application fee.
I have been a resident at Tortuga for almost 2 years now. I switched units after the first lease and still love it. They are all modern and the layouts are outstanding. From cathedral ceilings to balconies overlooking private courtyards with personal stainless steel grills. The amenities are fabulous. A pool with fountains and a clubhouse featuring a pool tble, movie room, and poker tables. A workout room that offers a sauna and his/hers restrooms as well as a Yoga lounge. A Wi-Fi cafe that supplies computers, printing, coffee or tea. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Pet Friendly and provide pet locations with bags and garbage for sanitary waste. The stuff of Tortuga are on point and willing to assist with anything. Key fob access only to all ammenities as well as apartment entrance. 24 hour security on property. Covered parking and garages available as well as plenty of other parking for guests and residents.
