Property Ratings at Toscana at Rancho Del Rey
This apartment complex is the worst. They don't work with you at all if you have any issues. The halls are dirty people don't pick up after their dogs. You pay for everything including parking. These are not luxury apartments at all. Every week some one moves out it's so bad they can make money by renting U-Haul's to people.
Property is filthy & the office employees are terrible and offer you very little help. They charge for parking spots per month, then they have a parking company that charges 30.00 to renew a sticker needed for the window(this charge used to be covered until 2021 without notice). Good luck OVER PRICED RUNDOWN APARTMENTS!!!

It’s a quiet, decent community. When it comes to repairs they could use a lot of help. My family has been sitting at home with a clogged sink for 4 days, and even after a call to the office, no one has showed up to repair it. Don’t be a day late on rent though. They’re all over that. If they paid as much attention to work orders as they do to rent payments, this place would be 5 stars
2 parking spots come with a unit. Although you have to pay a $30 registration per sticker. So $60 minimum for 2 cars. Oh and they never check for stickers. On site security does not ever check. I see cars all the time that are parked for multiple days without a valid sticker. Also people do not pick up after their pets. There's hardly any parking available in the evenings, so you have to park on the already crowded street or be forced to pay an extra $50 a month for a reserved parking spot which surprise surprise theres a $30 registration fee for the sticker. Avoid this place unless you have no choice
Just a warning for anyone thinking of renting here at Toscana Rancho Del Rey. If it helps just one person it was worth the time to post this. These apartments have ZERO sound proofing. You will hear your neighbors TVs, music, phones, doors slamming shut, walking in and out of every room, and conversations just to name a few. That by itself is almost tolerable, but I moved into a first floor unit (which coincidentally I was charged more money for) and shortly after a family of 4 or 5 moved in above me. It has been an absolute nightmare and I'm only here 2 weeks a month because of work. It's like living under a construction zone. When my lease came up for renewal I was unable to leave the complex at that time and hoped it would get better. It did not. As a matter of fact it got worse. In addition to all the noises I mentioned above, the family above me stomps around all the time and bangs, drags, and drops stuff on the floors. My daughter can't even sit in her own bedroom and do her homework in the evenings. The only time we get any peace and quiet is when they are not home. Which, unfortunately isn't very often. I've asked the leasing office for help a total of 4 times now and have gotten zero results or resolution. Which is a shame. And in an act of defiance, the family has gotten louder. What's worse is when I move out (counting down the days) a new tenant totally unaware of what awaits them will have to endure the same horrible situation. Please don't let it be you. I wouldn't want anyone to be in this same situation. So in closing, if you absolutely must live at Toscana Rancho Del Rey, I HIGHLY encourage you to sign a lease on a top floor unit. You'll no doubt hear your neighbors and everything they do, but you won't be living in horrible conditions underneath them. ***Quick update: On March 4, 5, and 6 I left messages asking to speak to Denise the property manager about the on going problem. She never returned any of my calls. If you ever have a problem as a tenant at Toscana do not expect to receive any type of help.*** Thanks for reading and good luck!
the apartment that they rented me since I changed told them that in the area of the baths it was moldy and with the passing of the days I realized that my granddaughter had a rash on her body, which gave me the task to take the doctor and told me that what I was doing was damaging the carpet, I asked them to change me to an apartment without a carpet which was denied, as the days went by the doctor gave me a letter stating that my granddaughter was having a strong reaction with the carpet and then they decided to let me go. but a month later they sent me a letter saying that I sent them around 1300 dollars why they had to change the carpet, nevertheless I talked to them and they told me that I would not worry that I would send them the corresponding information which I did to Time and fit. but they were only making time to send me to the collection. I'm really mad at them for being so irresponsible. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU DRY THOSE DEPARTMENTS.
Since I’ve been there it’s been two things have broke and no one has fixed it! I’m ready to go. It’s too hard to get in contact with the supervisor, the maintenance team takes forever. It’s too expensive for this quality of service.

I’ve lived at Toscana for over 6 months and parking awful. Spots are filled very quickly and when I wanted to purchase a carport, they wanted to send me to the other side of the complex. They love to tell you that it’s ok to park in the future residence spots but will quickly tow your vehicle without warning or notice even though cars are labeled and registered for that property. I understand places can’t be perfect but when management isn’t willing to try and make a good experience on top of this mess then it’s a distaster situation

Over Priced Apartments. Spider Infested woke up with bites everyday, Pool View I Paid Extra And a Damm Tree Was In The Way, Moved In And Stains was in the carpet and tub Took them Awhile to for work order. Never No Parking, Over Crowded.

This place sucks. The kids run around with no supervision swearing and talking back to adults who are asking them to stop. Police department is here a couple times a week. Loud cars, loud music. Never quiet here. Staff does not work with you.

The most useless people work in this apartment complex. Sprinklers were hitting my car the entire year I live there with my assigned spot. The property manager was very rude when I suggested they pay for my car to get detailed. "I don't see how water can damage your car" is a direct quote from the property manager. What kind of moron are you ? I even sent her emails that I was exchanging with her employees about fixing what happened and they claim they never heard of the incident
Twice I lived there the first time all quiet the second Rent the apartment trusting. In saying that it was remodeled and when I was delivered it was lie, dirty and old carpet and air conditioning did not work my son was going to the gym and. Two men stole their hearing aids I went to the office and told them to see the camera and they did not care they did nothing. In the middle of the day they wanted to open my door. Much Tuscan has changed.
There is not enough ample parking unless you rent a covered parking, i can here all my neighbors invliding downstairs. I moved in with flees in the apartment and non-cleaned carpet, the AC was broken and it was the middle of July. When I asked to speak the tje manager i ended up speaking to a rep becaise she refused. Maintenance does not fix things until you complain repeatedly. Worst place ever and I rented several apartments as we are military.
Having lived here the last year I can tell you it is fine if you only plan on staying 1 year. You will not be given any advantage to stay beyond that, they hike the rent thinking they have you. It is like the cable and satellite companies! They figure you will pay the price rather than going through the hassle of moving again. You will find you want to move on anyway, the quality of residents has really gone down in the last year. Plus unless you want constant smell of marijuana 24/7 you will be looking to get out after a year anyway. It's sad because the place has potential, they just need to screen residents better and institute a no smoking policy.
If you don't mind a ton of spiders and never again having to buy spider webs for your windows or car for Halloween this is the place for you. Plus, if you don't mind a $300 jump in your rent after the first year book your apartment now.
Staying at Toscana at Rancho Del Rey has been a very calm experience. Whenever I needed anything fixed or done within my apartment, the staff always made sure it was done as expeditiously as a possible. The apartments were equipped with heated pools and a jacuzzi that were always kept to perfection for the residents. The neighborhood is paved with endless trails and a beautiful and quiet surrounding. Staying here has been a great.
I like the neighborhood, the maintenance service, and the office staff are very profeccional persons ,nice and fast system application, i really recomend them very good customer service, and very nice place to live.we just moved in.
