Property Ratings at The Towers at Four lakes
Overpriced rent, thin walls you can hear everyone above you and to the sides, constantly smells like weed constantly, doesn’t tow people without parking passes so if you PAY for a spot and get there past 8pm you will have no parking available.
I lived there for five years when the management changed from Marquette to eagle management this palace become nightmare to us. When we moved out in 2019 we made sure all payments has done, talked to property managers, she said all good. Today after two years we found out our account is on collection just for $114, due to unpaid balance from four lake apt. We never received any calls not even paper statements that we have some balance due since two years and if I am not wrong they dont have rights to ask any kind of payment after 3 month of moving out. Trust me on this, think twice before rent out apt in tower at four lakes. We lived there and were very happy but since the eagle management handling the property they are just money hungry. First they gave us a unit which had bug problem and they did nothing but bug sprey couple of time.while we complained about this whole year we lived. I showed the the video, photos so many times, how the bugs ruining our food and they are everywhere property manager said the previous renter didn't have this issue and did nothing. I am not surprised that after two years without informing or sending any Bill's to is they put us into collection. I thinks I made a mistake to rent a unit with them now I have to suffer.

Not only have I dealt with severe maintenance issues with this apartment, the staff didn't seem to show any sincerity when dealing with my issues: 1. MAINTENANCE: I had the apartment above mine flood this past year and it leaked through to my unit. Then after that they just came and painted over the water spots (didn't seal it or fix the cracks or anything). 2. PARKING: I once had my car towed from my own apartment complex. Granted, I was in a striped spot, BUT that's only because there were no remaining parking spaces. Rather than having cars towed that DIDN'T HAVE PARKING PASSES, they towed mine... 3. HEATING: If you are in any unit that gets even a little sun, you better hope that it's not warm out after they turn the heat on, because you WILL need to open windows. It was 72 degrees this past November, and I had to sleep at my boyfriend's house because they didn't understand that you can turn the heat off and just leave the fan running (or maybe they just didn't want to put in the extra effort). But I have no control over that bs. 4. CONSTRUCTION: Not only did they do construction on our entire parking garage this summer (where most of us had to park half a mile away and walk home). Now they're also doing construction on the unit above mine, and guess what - it's LOUD. I'm working from home right now and reached out to the leasing office to see when the construction would be over (since they gave me no notice that it was even going to happen), and I assumed it would only be for a day or two. Nope, turns out it's going to be 4-5 WEEKS!!! Plus, they didn't apologize for not telling me or for the inconvenience.
I like living here very much. We were a little nervous about the bad reviews, but they were all pretty old and we got a good feeling on the tour, so my husband and I chanced it. The grounds are lovely and well cared for, our neighbors have all been very friendly, the staff is absolutely lovely (we are particularly fond of the red haired woman in the front office), and our apartment itself is spacious and has a good layout. The parking situation can be a bit treacherous if you get home late (after 11, things get dicey in the resident lot for me—but my husband uses the pricey garage spot and reports never having an issue.) Our elevator does go out pretty frequently, but we’ve never had to take the stairs for it and—frankly—I’m not bothered. I’m looking forward to renewing our lease here. We have been pleasantly surprised by Four Lakes under Eagle Management.
I have feeling the bad reviews are written by angry tenants who are unhappy in other places of their lives that they cannot see THE GOOD THINGS THE NEW MANAGEMENT HAS DONE FOR THE PROPERTY! The hallways look beautiful! A calming blueish gray to come home to after a long day is so much nicer than the crazy anxiety inducing circus yellow. To have BRAND NEW WASHERS AND DRYERS in THE RENOVATED LAUNDRY ROOMS is an amazing feature - the only thing I am not a fan of is the "pre-paid" aspect. But I LOVE USING THE PHONE APP. I can see when the washers/dryers are available, if they are out of order and when my cycles have been completed. This is a much needed advantage. The previous management company did not clean them and, just to point out the obvious, the tenants did not care for what they had to begin with - hence no longer having the same amount of front loaders and the mold growing and how dirty they were. We are adults and are capable of cleaning up after ourselves..... I will have to admit the elevators are kind of crappy. But this is a problem the new management company has inherited and, up until recently, have been working fine. Once again, this is not a new issue and at this point one can safely assume the previous management company did the bare minimum to maintain the property because they were selling. Given the renovation of the hallways, laundry room, the new community room, bringing back hot breakfast, and the parties they have thrown, I have no doubt in my mind they will also renovate the elevators. The reality here is they are spending money to breath life back into the run down Towers. It should be something to be celebrated. NOT POO-POOED. THANK YOU TO THE NEW MANAGEMENT! They have brought in a great staff as well! The previous team was "rough" and had bad attitudes. The New Team is always a joy to see.
I was worried about moving in this place because of bad reviews. I stayed here for 6 months from May until October in 2018. I was in illinois from California and the sound of the water fountain at night sounded like the ocean waves. I set up a hammock of the balcony and enjoyed one of the summers of my life. There is a great bar within walking distance and great people live here. The views, the community, and beauty of four lakes is the one of my favorite in Illinois. This place is great
The Towers is a wonderful place to settle. Whether you are fresh out of college or happily enjoying retirement it is a perfect fit. The apartments are spacious enough for 2 people with updated amenities. There is a gym and a laundry room. Laundry is payable by credit card which is nice. The staff here are friendly enough, could be more helpful but they are not awful. But with all the outdoor amenities, you won't be spending much time inside. During the summer, there is discounted golf at the course in front of the building, there are 4 pools, beautiful lakes to walk, free fishing, free boating, and access to the volleyball and tennis courts. During the winter the ski hill is in full swing, this also happens to be free. There is a convenient store stocked with the essentials and a nice bar all within walking distance within the "campus". I use campus because it's on it own land and everything is all together. I would say the best feature is the community. Everyone knows everyone and we like to attend the community events. Especially the free breakfast that is cooked Monday- Friday. Everywhere you look there are beautiful scenic views of the lakes. Each place is not without its faults. Parking is an issue here. As long as you get home during the week at a respectable time you are fine, but once the parking lot if full, there's really nowhere for you to go. There is paid covered parking as an alternative option. The internet is lacking. It is very slow and does cut out at times. This can be difficult for gamers, but for the average person I can't really tell the difference. The elevators seem to always be broken. Plus side to that is you will always get your steps in! Kitchens are small but functional. There is also a lack or storage, so you would need to get creative. Overall, I really enjoy living here. There are a lot of places close by to enjoy nights out, but there are also wonderful things to do within 4 Lakes.
The rent is fairly high considering you are living in a studio. The one bedroom cost is through the roof. You can find more affordable housing in nearby Naperville. There are tons of amenities. There is a free breakfast. The breakfast isn't close to being a continental breakfast you would get at a hotel. (That would better.) This is fake bacon, one egg, and a piece of burnt toast. The lady who cooks is sweet but she is slow paced. I think I would this more if it was available on weekend. Its only during the week and I don't have that much time to wait. There are four pools and ski hill on the property. This is where the value is. If you will use these then rent here, if not... don't want your money. Parking is a nightmare. If you get home after 7pm forget finding parking. The cops love to give parking tickets too so... you have to get and pay for the extra money for garage spot. They have a free shuttle to the train station for those working in the city. The location is great to Naperville, Downers Grove, and Lombard. They also have community social events. If you are new to the area, its a great way to meet knew people. I have been renting here for two years but I'm not renewing. Its a great place if you are new to town... once you lived here a bit you are over the "college dorm" like atmosphere.
I have lived here for almost 7 years. Its quiet with a beautiful view. There are a lot of amenities offered in this apartment complex. There are 4 pools, the ski hill, the volleyball/tennis courts, the pub, and of course the convenience store and they are all within walking distance of your apartment. Its a fun atmosphere for singles and couples!
My apartment is in a perfect location. The Towers are 30 minutes directly west from Chicago, IL in the suburb of Lisle, IL. My apartment community includes a Ski Hill, The Bulls-Sox Center (Professional Baseball and Basketball Facility), Our own Convenient Store, Tennis Courts, Sand Volleyball Courts, Six Pools, Workout Facility, A Pub and Brewery, and Four Lakes to fish, canoe, and paddle-boat. My apartment is on the Seventh Floor overlooking the RiverBend Golf Course. On my balcony I can see the 6th hole green and 2 and 4 fairways. I sometimes sit outside with my binoculars and watch how the golfers are playing. I live in a one bedroom apartment with a Pioneer Home Theater System, granite countertops, 1000 sq. ft., corner unit facing the East and the sunrise, about $15,000 worth of sports memorabilia, 1 bath, 1 shower and cherry wood cabinets. My rent is $1400 a month. I have no pets, but pets are allowed. Every morning during the work week we get free breakfast including eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee cake, 4 different kinds of cereal, milk, apple juice, and orange juice. Lastly our Towers put on a lot of community get-togethers, such as dances, live bands, Movies on the Ski Hill, community Olympics, trivia night, karaoke, Super Bowl Parties, and lots more. I definitely enjoy living here and winning the free rent for life would mean the world to me!
I came to Four Lakes specifically because of the scorching hot deal I was able to get on a 690sq. ft. studio apartment. The amenities at Four Lakes are very diverse but are more aimed at the younger college or mid-20s crowd. I enjoyed the quality of what I was getting for the money, and the only downside was that you're living amongst young adults who aren't always the quietest or most thoughtful. If you don't mind that, it's a great place to be.
I moved into The Towers at Four Lakes about 7 months ago and am very happy with my experience. It is very clean which is a huge plus in my book. I have always felt safe while living her as well. I rent a studio apartment which is a bit pricier than other apartments I have seen but i still recommend. There are a lot of perks that come along with living here although I don't really take advantage of them. Overall I enjoy it here.
If you miss college, or never went, and love noise, chaos, and drama, this apartment is for you! While there are several "luxury" features like swimming pools, here are some other activities not mentioned that have happened just in the last week: the bridge to the major entrance into and out of the property is closed, causing increased traffic and difficulty for the emergency vehicles, both FIRE and POLICE who have come within the span of 5 days. Tomorrow is a "planned" POWER OUTAGE, during July. If you want to take a friend to the pool with you, you must pay extra. Etc., etc., etcetera. Despicable.
