Property Ratings at Town Westshore
I have been living at Town Westshore for a little over a year and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The apartment complex is modern, well-maintained, and offers a range of amenities that make living here a pleasure. From the beautiful pool area to the state-of-the-art fitness center, everything is designed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable living experience. Yes, there is construction, which is out of their control, but they do their very best to accommodate needs to ensure happy tenants. The pool/hot tub area is a standout feature, with plenty of lounge chairs and shaded areas for relaxing. It’s the perfect spot to unwind on a sunny day. The fitness center is equally impressive, equipped with the latest exercise machines and free weights, catering to all fitness levels. There’s even a sauna in the bathroom for those who enjoy it after a workout. For social gatherings, the clubhouse is fantastic. It includes a spacious lounge with comfortable seating, a large-screen TVs, a fully equipped kitchen, a pool table/shuffleboard, and a movie room. It’s an ideal place to host friends or meet your neighbors. Additionally, the outdoor grilling stations and picnic areas are great for enjoying a meal outdoors. Pet owners will appreciate the on-site dog park, which provides a safe and fun environment for pets to play and socialize. There’s also a pet washing station, making it easy to keep your furry friends clean. What truly sets Town Westshore apart, however, is the outstanding service provided by the staff, particularly Susan and Valen. From the moment I first inquired about the apartment, Susan was incredibly helpful and responsive. She answered all my questions with patience and provided detailed information that made the leasing process smooth and stress-free. Valen has also been fantastic, always going above and beyond to ensure any and all requests are handled promptly and efficiently. Their friendly and professional demeanor makes interacting with them a pleasure, and they genuinely care about the residents’ well-being. A simple wave or smile from them goes a long way during some days! Overall, I highly recommend Town Westshore to anyone looking for a great place to live. The combination of excellent facilities and the exceptional service from Susan and Valen makes it a top choice.

Hello, Thank you for leaving such a fantastic review. We are delighted to hear you have had such a fantastic experience with us. Thank you for being such a loyal resident! Valen C 813-448-2308
I aim to provide fair, balanced reviews and admit that I don’t leave enough feedback—good or bad. Unfortunately, this complex has been a disappointing experience despite its potential and initial beauty. At first glance, the property is stunning. However, my interactions with the leasing office were chaotic and inefficient. To get added to the lease, I had to contact four different people, and even then, it took four more visits to receive a key and gate pass. Six months in, I still don’t have a mailbox key. Shortly after signing, we were told the pool would be closed most of the summer, and construction on windows and sliding doors was set to start, but none of this was disclosed before signing. When construction began, I informed them of my severe allergies and the need to temporarily relocate. While they did offer us a “corporate apartment,” we struggled for days to get the keys, and once inside, I encountered mold that made me ill. They did clean it, but it was just one more frustration. When the main construction on our unit finished, they abruptly asked us to vacate the corporate apartment the next day, without considering our schedules. We requested help with cleaning and moving furniture back but are still waiting for assistance. My requests for project updates are often met with vague, evasive responses. The grounds are poorly maintained, which is disheartening. This complex had so much promise, but the management fails at basic communication and upkeep. If you’re considering living here, do your research thoroughly. Talk to locals

Hi , We are so sorry to hear your experience was a negative one. We work hard to make sure our residents are happy and take it to heart when we hear we have not succeeded. We will take your feedback and review it with our team to improve upon. We would like to speak with you directly, please give us a call at 813-448-2308. Thank you. Valen C
Do not live here unless you want to spend thousands of dollars to deal with a building that is not meant to have people living in it. Construction has been going since early 2023 with no end in sight. There is mold everywhere (which they try to cover and paint over), AC consistently breaks down in this heat, amenities are constantly closed and residents get no credit towards rent. It is impossible to get ANY sleep as a night shift worker. Wish I could give zero stars, it is insane that they still pretend this is anything close to luxury living.

Hi, We are truly sorry to hear this has been your experience. Our community is going through a phase of renovations which has been communicated to all future and current residents. Residents are not charged amenities fees and all amenities are currently open. We'd like to speak with you directly to make things right. Please call the management office at 813-448-2308. Thank you. Valen C
The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything (even from outside in the courtyards), the parking spots are so narrow your car WILL get scraped and/or dinged, they charge you a few hundred dollars more per month than nearby complexes, visitors have to pay to park, the office staff turnover is crazy frequent (probably because management is so rude), the flooring is poor quality, the walls are not soundproofed, and they jack up your rent a few hundred every year. I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting in the moment, but overall the experience here has been 0 out of 5 stars. I can’t wait to move out.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. When living in a multi-family community there is to be an anticipated level of noise and it is unfortunate that not all neighbors are as considerate as others. We provide guest parking at a first come first serve basis and happy to share more details on the guest parking pass by calling the leasing office. We appreciate your residency and wish you the best in your future. Kind Regards, Susan C.
The whole first floor was designed for guest parking. Now your guests have to register their vehicle and pay to park by the hour. So when you have pet walkers or cleaning people come or just friends visiting, they now have to pay. Ridiculous. They sent us a all an email that said you can get a guest pass but that is only if they stay over night. What a racket and so embarrassing.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback in reference to Town Westshore garage. We provide our residents parking in the garage. The non-resident parking spaces within the Town Westshore Parking Garage on the 1st floor are now managed parking spaces utilizing mobile phone application payments. Guest can park in the garage overnight by stopping by the leasing office during business hours and picking up a visitor pass. Visitors can also choose to park on the main street as an alternative. We appreciate you providing us with your feedback and if you have any other concerns, please call the leasing team at 813-448-2308. Susan C. 813-448-2308
Town Westshore, is hands down one of the cleanest, most professional management and maintenance groups I have ever experienced! Property Manager Jackie has gone above and beyond for my wife and I in our transition to an apartment community from our home. late evening check-in's, proactive notices and always follow-up. Her team with Susan and Jamelah are top notch! This has totally redefined my prior concerns with returning to apartment living....it feels, smells, looks and residents are treated as if they are living in a resort! Well Done Jackie and Team!

Hello, We appreciate you taking the time to share such a great review! We love having you as a resident and are delighted with your satisfaction of calling Town Westshore as your home. Susan C. 813-448-2308
If I could give this place zero stars, I would - it’s like living in a fancy cardboard box. You lay in bed at night to hear your neighbors, speaking softly, coughing and laughing in their apt through the walls. At about 2am-4am, you are awakened by the sounds of screaming engines from about 50 motorcycles racing on Gandy or the sounds of a trash truck picking up the trash at the senior housing facility across the street. You can clearly hear them pick up the dumpsters and drop them. The garbage trucks also make a lovely beeping sound when reversing which adds to the effect. To make matters worse, at about 7am, janitorial starts blowing the front of the property with a high pitched electric blower. I reached out to the Manager and asked for this to stop so early in the morning. While she admitted she was not aware this was happening so early, she also promised it would stop. Yet, here I am again waking up to the sounds of this same blower at 7am. Makes me wonder if she even has a clue about anything that happens here. Clearly, onsite management is useless! Right after the blower stops, you are delighted by the sounds of a whining dog - management was made aware this has been going on for months. If you live at the front of the property, you will hear the moving trucks come in about 10am daily. If you work from home like me, you’ll be blessed with the sounds of yelling movers, loud rap music, buzzing loading ramps and items being dropped and loaded - all day, and sometimes night, long! Managers response: the building does not have a loading dock so get the number on the moving truck and call the moving company to complain about the noise - pathetic. Not going to waste my time to ask for a recommendation on the Uhauls. If you chose to pay the hefty premium to face the bay, good luck! Management is very proud of the fact that with todays’s market, availability is limited so if you have a problem, you’re on your own. Plus, with the view of the bay also come the homeless who come up from Gandy time to time. If you chose to live here, you get NO SLEEP, PAPER - THIN WALLS AND USELESS MANAGEMENT. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. This place is a joke and I can not wait to leave!

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. When living in a multi-family community there is to be an anticipated level of noise and it is unfortunate that not all neighbors are as considerate as others. Our goal is to provide an outstanding resident experience and we encourage all residents to respect each other. We also do our best to communicate with all future move ins as to where their moving truck can park at the community. We would love the opportunity to discuss other concerns with you by calling the management team at 813-448-2308. Thank you, Susan C.
Ceilings leak, construction is terrible, noise from outside construction is awful, and good luck sleeping. You will hear everything your neighbors do - cabinets, doors, dogs, screaming babies, whatever. Management is a joke. Save yourself the headache
Gate cards are very cheap and wear out instantly. This would only be a minor inconvenience if they didn’t immediately tow you. Came home late to a disabled gate card and was towed before I could get to the office the next morning. Very inconsiderate to the residents.
Property Manager at Town Westshore, Responded To This Review
First floor parking is solely for guest parking while floors 2-6 are designated for residents with a visible decal sticker. Any Violators will be towed! It is not common that the garage transponder would wear out as they are not battery operated however you're welcome to stop by the office for a replacement should yours no longer work.
A monthly towing fee will accompany your rent. Parking is set up to ensure it will happen. Water damage is also an issue as well. Don’t try and call the office tho they won’t answer.
Property Manager at Town Westshore, Responded To This Review
All towing policies are clearly stated within the lease agreement and reviewed with all residents. There are numerous signs posted within the garage which states Any Violators will be towed! As any place of business, our office receives a high volume of phone calls on a daily between online/ out of state leasing, prospects, residents, and realtors. When our team is not touring, the office does their best to return all phone calls. Should you ever need immediate assistance you are welcome to contact the office via email.
Noise is awful, will tow resident cars and customer service is awful.

When living in a multi-family community there is to be an anticipated level of noise and it is unfortunate that not all neighbors are as considerate as others. All towing policies are clearly stated within the lease agreement and reviewed with all residents. Our parking garage offers 6 levels of parking to accommodate our 4-story building. First floor parking is complimentary "guest" parking and floors 2-6 are designated for residents with a visible decal sticker. Any Violators will be towed!
My girlfriend and I have lived here for over a year and enjoy our community of neighbors and friends. We rent one of the most expensive units on the property with a water view. When we first moved here we thought this apartment complex would live up to its luxury living lifestyle. There is so much dust and dirt coming from the new "Marina Point" project that it destroys the entire property. The parking garage is so dusty it is impossible to keep your car clean. I have to clean the hallway carpets to our front door once a month because of the amount of dirt and dust coming in from the garage. It makes its way into our apartment and I have to clean our carpets once a week. We have had over 45 service calls to our apartment in the past year. Everything from our sliding glass doors shifting leaving large cracks to the outside to our oven and washer / dryer being replaced. The appliances are average and wear very quickly. Our refrigerator for our 3 bedroom apartment has very limited space and it is hard to even put a frozen pizza in the freezer. This apartment complex is not secure even though it has a courtesy officer. The garage doors are often open allowing solicitors to canvas the cars in the garages with advertisements. The front door to the mail-room is broke and does not require a key card to enter the property. The builders rushed this project and cut a lot of corners. For instance, our heater for our three-bedroom apartment was designed for a 1 bedroom apartment and could not keep our place warm this winter. When the temperature dropped below 50 degrees we were not able to get the temperature of our apartment above 68 degrees. This was made worse by the large cracks with the sliding glass door letting cold air into our unit. On Valentine's day, my girlfriend and I spent the night with our oven open just to heat our unit. So romantic.... We think that the maintenance staff is amazing and do a great job. The staff is very friendly and always smile or make conversation in passing. A lot of the amenities are great like the pool and gym. This is a great place to live but the management needs to pay more attention to keeping the property clean and secure. You might want to walk the entire property including the garage, courtyards, and hallways before you sign your lease.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Our goal is to provide an outstanding resident experience and we regret to hear that we did not meet or exceed your expectations. After reviewing our records, we confirmed that your service requests are up to date and have all been completed, with the exception of one regarding our mail room door. Thank you for bringing this to our attention our service team will be addressing this right away. Our housekeepers work hard to keep our interior hallways and common areas clean and follow a strict weekly cleaning schedule. Given that we are located in a new construction area, we unfortunately cannot control external neighboring projects but our staff continuously strives to maintain our property on a daily and weekly basis. We are glad to offer our courtesy officer as an additional service to our residents after hours, please kindly note, this is not a 24-hour roaming security service. We have controlled access points on every door and gate into our community to authorize residents/users into the building. We are sorry to hear your experience has been less than what you expected and would love the opportunity to improve your living experience here. We truly appreciate you as a resident here at Town Westshore and value your feedback. Thank you
The complex is beautiful, but it seems to be made of paper, extremely noisy, I live here for 4 months and I am desperate to leave, but the management wants to charge me a fine, I will have to fight in court, I can not stand the noise ... if you seek peace in your home do not come to live here
Very noisy and low quality construction. Nice views.
