Property Ratings at Towne Square Apartment Homes
Outdated, water mains and pools break every other month. Landscaper wake you up at 7 am. Not worth the price per sq ft. Pool rules not enforced. No handles or drawer pulls. Lack of storage. Takes up to 4 mins to get hot water.

We just moved out. Old outdated apt the consider stainless steel appliances upgraded. Make sure you are present when they do your move out inspection. We cleaned the apt but they showed us pics of a dirty kitchen and charged us to clean it. There is no sound proofing between floors. Water main breaks happen frequently. They main pool is party central rules not followed. There are more updated places out there do your research.

STAY AWAY very old buildings with nothing but problems! I’ve lived here for 6 weeks and had to call them 10 times. I haven’t been able to live In my apartment for 2 weeks and now they don’t know how long it will take to fix the current issue. Now I still can’t stay in my apartment. They have offered no help! Pay all this money to not be able to live there! Dump of a place to charges like they do!

Hi Amber, I am sorry to hear this and sincerely apologize that your stay has fallen short. Per our conversation earlier, the roofers have been contacted, and I will be in touch with you as soon as they have confirmed a schedule. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can further assist you. Sincerely, Lisa A., Community Manager
The community itself is gorgeous. Pools were great, barbecues maintained, and an overall good appearance. That said, the interior of the apartments are awful. Working with the front office was an absolute nightmare from the application process to moving out. Maintenance requests have to be followed up on or they will not be performed. It seemed like we had a something break at least once a month and constantly had to take time out of our own schedule to accommodate something that could be taken care of with a simple phone call. The units look very old and run down inside, and if you don't write down EVERYTHING, and I mean everything on your move-in checklist, you will 100% be charged retail value to fix it upon move out. I would not recommend living here unless it is a last resort (which is what we dealt with moving in.)
Everything is very dated, there is no storage space, thing break constantly and no one comes to fix it. People have had cars broken into and wheels stolen. Office people are just rude and staff always change. The value is below the cheap price.

The apartments are old and the management is horrible. There is also a lot vandalism. I will never recommend this place to anybody.

Lived here for 3 months worst mistake ever. There are stray cats, band practice very week. The walls are so thin can hear every neighbor who are up at all hours. Would not recommend to anyone. Have lived in many aparmtnes and this is by far the worst I have come across. Apartment was not cleaned when I first moved in, carpet was so dusty. Great location near mall, that’s the only thing is has going for it. Overpriced for what you get, I could be in a luxury apartment with the prices and far better conditions and upgrades.
This place is aweful. Mold throughout, and car break ins daily possibly staff. These people are all about money and couldn't care less about their residents. I am now filing a lawsuit against them. If anyone else is having issues please contact me as we are setting up a class action lawsuit against them. Don't be scared by their tactics.
Another Lease was given to 2 College Students from Fall 2016 (was told by them 6mth lease March 2017) of which they, played children’s Basketball in the apartment, PLAYED THEIR BASS MUSIC ALL NITE LONG UNTIL 2-3am IN THE MORNING WHEREAS PEOPLE HAVE TO GET UP IN THE EARLY MORNING AND GO TO WORK, they also did MARIJUANA and OTHER DRUGS AND ALCOHOL which caused them to FALL INTO THE WALLS/CLOSETS etc in the apartment, it was like a FRATERNITY APARTMENT HOUSE. It wasn’t only myself complaining other neighbors did also yet they were afraid that the Residents may do something to them or their children and or cars. AGAIN, THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING WRITTEN ON THE LEASE REGARDING NOISE CONTROL, MUSIC USAGE BASS, PARTIES, DRUG USAGE OF ANY TYPE, AND IF THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS THE RESIDENCE COULD BE UP FOR AN “EVICTION”. ALSO THOSE WHO ARE COMPLAINING SHOULD BE ABLE TO KNOW WHERE THE STATUS OF THE CASE SEEING AS THEY WERE THE ONES TO PUT IN THE COMPLAINT AND ALSO IF THE ISSUE IS STILL CONTINUING. I feel there needs to be an Apartment Security seeing as the Apartment may or may not be Full and there is an issue with NOISE CONTROL, PARKING ISSUES (parking in Handicap area and loading zone), was told we can call the Police yet that would be Low Priority. Again, “WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this Apartment to anyone. Hope Upper Management looks and reads “ALL” the issues and negativity that is within the complex and written on the Website, because it is ALL TRUE, whereas it WAS FAMILY, FRIENDLY, FUN (Jacuzzi hasn’t worked and dirty just like the pools) oriented and as of 2yrs ago that is no longer, and what a shame seeing as the Apartment is in a great area.
We had very good first impression at Towne Square. However right after we decided to rent here things changed. SCAMS, SCAMS, SCAMS. They secretly increased the rent immediately after we paid for application, and asked us to sign for that. This is not what we agreed. They did not even bother to provide an acceptable explanation. They became VERY RUDE. We can either accept the new higher rent with anger or lose our money and walk away. We eventually walked away because we rather gave up our application fee and the ridiculous deposit waiver fee (which we shouldn't pay since we will not move in) than deal with these people for the next year. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I don't even need to live there to know that. Be alert if you want to rent here.
I have called Towne Square home for 4 years and have no plans of ever leaving. I love the landscaping and the care management takes of the residents.

This apartment complex and the apartment itself were wonderful when we first moved in. Fairly spacious, good price compared to proximity to the mall. However they only care about new renters, if you're on your way out or renting a second year, they could care less about making your stay a pleasant one. In the first 10 months, we had to have them come by and fix our dishwasher 7 times. 7 times without offering to replace it. When the time came to renew our lease we figured we'd give it another year, but they refused to tell us the price until 6 days before the lease was up (well after their mandatory 60 day period to cancel the lease without breaking it). They then raised the rent by almost $100 a month, which came out to around an 11% increase (the area average is around 5%). They plan on raising rent almost another $100 for another year. Trying to get this apartment complex to perform basic landlord duties is like pulling teeth. The maintenance staff is very nice, the outside is kept clean, but the ownership could use some work.
When we were shown the models they were nice and upgraded. They did advise us that not all the apartments were upgraded, but we had no idea that the ones that weren't upgraded hadn't been updated since the 1970s. All of the appliances were incredibly out dated. The micro smelled. The refrigerator over heats. The oven will not turn off from time to time. When we call maintenance will come and fix it until it does it again. They refuse to replace it. One of the burns will not turn on or off unless you wiggle it around a bit. The did not allow us to see the apartment until the day prior to moving in which by that point we had to be out of our old apartment and did not have time to find a new place. The day we moved in the shower in the main bathroom had mold and rust all along the door. There patch holes in the apartment using caulk. I week after I moved in it rained. Rain poured in through the windows of both bedrooms. When I called they came and put plastic in the window and funneled it into a bucket. Once the rain ended they never came to retrieve their bucket or the plastic and did not repair the window. This happened again on two other occasions. They never fixed the window until I threatened to call housing on them. They have 3 pools in the complex and only one of them is ever open. They have an extreme bee problem near the main pool which is the only one ever open. I only wish I could post pictures with this review to show you the horror which has been almost 1 year of my life.
Have been living here for two months, not a single problem has come to life since move in, the staff at the front office was perfect, and even stayed late after closing to get me and my brother moved in, he was in a rollover accident 1 hour prior to move in and the compassion of the front office was extremely appreciated, the community is the most friendly I have had the pleasure of being a part of, no crazy parties, no problems with the authorities, and the other staff always seems to have a smile on their face. Landscaping is kept up and there's never a mess to be found anywhere, I have not had a single regret moving into this complex and I am planning on renewing my lease when it is time to do so... Definitely a place to consider
