Property Ratings at Townhomes at Spartanburg
The property manager is very helpful and willing to help with any situation that you have. The units are older but the recent renovations are nice and the new appliances work efficiently. The location is nice because it is within ten minutes to major produce and shopping districts.
The apartments have been sold to another company, but they have not spent any money on the upkeep or maintenance of the apartments. I don't know who has an apartment that looks like the pictures, and I checked with several people before writing this. The apartments are old. Point blank. They need updating beyond a new laminate floor. They are nice-sized apartments, but they are DEFINITELY not worth the price. They make you pay for pest control, which is necessary because the apartments are so old, outside bugs come inside. I was shown an "updated" apartment, but I went back, and a tenant allowed me to see theirs, and THAT tenant recommended I see another tenant's apartment. I saw 7 "updated" apartments, and every last one had rotten wood around the doors and baseboards, laundry rooms that looked like fire traps but were actually the room that held the water heater, stained, rusty tubs, and huge ants crawling in under the doors.
April is awesome. She goes out her way to make sure you are okay and are comfortable and have everything you need. She responds right away no matter what. She always cares about our needs. Anthony is awesome as well. He never hesitates to come right away if you need any maintenance or anything at all. I appreciate everything they do. I love it here at Magnolia town homes. Been here two years and will continue to be here. Both are very caring people and make sure our community is taken care of. Thank you April and Anthony!!
We moved from Michigan and into our Magnolia Townhomes apartment a little over a year ago. I must say, I am glad we chose to come here! The staff was very friendly and helpful with any and all our questions and helped us get the right 2 bedroom apartment for our family at a great price. Upon entering our apartment the first time, we were right away impressed with the beautiful hardwood flooring downstairs and the soft, new carpet upstairs. It has raised ceiling and an open floor plan that feels very roomy. There were hookups for both our washer and dryer in spaces that allowed them to be tucked away out of view when not being used. They even have a laundry room at the main office for those who do not have their own. The apartment also has an enclosed back patio which is perfect for sitting outside and relaxing while keeping our privacy. The next thing we found was it is the perfect distance to just about store or restaurant you could need! It is just a short walking distance to places like Walmart, Home Depot, Ruby Tuesday, Subway, Pizza Hut, AT&T, Gamestop, Michael's, Pier 1, Red Lobster, Pet Smart, Office Max and many more! We were also excited to find that our furry family members are also welcome as Magnolia Townhomes are a pet-friendly environment. We have areas to take our dogs for walks and there are staff maintained stations to dispose of their waste. Children staying at Magnolia will attend Woodland Heights Elementary, R.P. Dawkings Middle School, and Dorman High School. All are a great place for an education. The bus stops in the apartment parking lot, right next to the main office where it's always lit up and there are always parents around to keep an eye on them so I can feel safe when they go out for school. And speaking of safety, there is often an officer making a courtesy stop in the afternoons and evenings to help keep the community safe. Magnolia Townhomes have been hard at work making renovations to the community to make it even more pleasant for those of us staying here, one of which is the pool. They also host family friendly activities such as pool parties, children's movie night, and Easter egg hunts to name a few. Also maintenance is always quick to help if you have a problem or need something fixed. I am so glad we chose Magnolia Townhomes. It is such a peaceful, friendly atmosphere and a great place to stay!
I really like the area of this apartment complex. The apartments need a play area for the children so they want be playing in the streets. The worst thing about the apartments the parking is horrible I guess it was designed for only people that works first shift. I work night shift and when I get home I have no where to park. I came home last night in pouring rain with groceries and had to park across the street so yes I was upset because I got wet and had to make two trips. The neighbors are very inconsiderate especially on the weekend when they have company they will not even ask them to leave you a space. I am in the process of looking for other living arrangements. I just think it too dangerous to have to park your car somewhere and walk to your apartment. I do like the leasing manger that is on the premises now,
I really love living in Magnolia Townhomes because it's a very quiet neighborhood and they keep everything so neat and clean. The staff members are always so nice and if you have a problem, they try to fix it right away. The only problem that I have is that they need a playground for the children. Residents have complained about the children running around the neighborhood alone and in the way of cars. I personally don't allow my kids to do that. If they're outside, then so am I. I just think that a little neighborhood park would be a great idea. Other than that, I have no complaints. I've been living here since 2011 and would recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment.
I have lived here since 1999. It was not intended, trust me. Along these years, the apartments have fallen into the hands of many different people, but a few things remained the same or changed for the better. It may sound bad, and I have had quite a few problems with this house, and yet I've rated it fairly highly due to how promptly they've been taken care of and the ease of getting things handled. Appearance These houses are fairly old. By this point, the house is honestly falling apart on me. The paint is chipping off of the counters (who knows what material this is? It's cheap), the faucet is falling apart, the air conditioning has broken repeatedly within the span of 3 weeks (they've had it fixed, it broke again, fixed, broken), the tiles are peeling up, the cardboard quality wood used to seal up / create the cabinets is falling apart, the socket has begun to spark (going to need to get that looked at), I've lost the handle to the cabinet because that came on / its held on by a tiny screw, the sink faucet handle fell apart in my hand... You get the idea. It sounds pretty bad, yes? This is pretty understandable wear and tear given how old the house is and how long we've been here. However, when problems arise, they've always been dealt with extremely promptly. I'm never treated as if a problem is too small or insignificant, and my concerns are always dealt with. The windows and blinds were replaced as soon as the new manager got in office, and it was a lovely replacement. It's definitely gorgeous outside as well. The trees / bushes are kept trimmed, and it's pretty clean. There was a problem with littering and dog poo, but the manager cracked down on it promptly! Appliances The apartment came with a dishwasher, stove, and fridge. Our oven broke down and was replaced with the oven out of another apartment. The dishwasher works fine. Fridge works fine. Everything is working great. Safety There is an officer that remains parked outside of the office. This is not the greatest neighborhood, but I haven't had any problems after a break-in attempt at night in 2006. (Different manager) A while ago, a car was leaking gasoline, and the manager promptly had it towed / removed in record time! She's a force to be reckoned with. I can walk outside without feeling like I'm in danger, I can get sleep at night, I've had no issues with neighbors, my problems are dealt with promptly, children and pets aren't an issue, and I'm definitely satisfied.
I found my new apartment online very conviniant office hours open on Saturdays so my family in SC could see the property for me in Fl. Conveniently located to shopping, schools, and highways. Well maintained property and if anything goes wrong maintenance crew is on site and fixing the problem in 5 minutes. I would recommend this property to young families like myself moving from our if state.
After re-locating to South Carolina for work, I needed to find a place that I liked quickly. I went on a half dozen apartment and townhome site tours before coming to Magnolia Townhomes. Each place I looked at had its share of issues, smelled, or was run by a staff that I would not have felt comfortable dealing with in the event I had an issue with my apartment. The staff at Magnolia Townhomes was friendly, efficient, and was able to show me the unit that I could move into right away. The location was convenient to shopping and entertainment, and the space was large and well maintained. I have been very happy with my selection. The property is quiet and the office is always attended during posted hours if I have a question. I look forward to being here for the duration of my current lease...and maybe longer!
This apartment is WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF OVER TEN (10) EXCELLENT RESTAURANTS. WalMart isn't but a stone throw away, when your in need of all those LAST MINUTE essentials. (open 24hrs) Magnolia Townhomes is situated along the city bus route, which allows you access to all that the downtown Spartanburg city LIFE has to offer. (shopping, eating, music) Lisa is the property manager, and along with Richard THEY run an excellent property. If safety is a concern, take comfort here at Magnolia Townhomes because we have the benefit of a "Courtesy Officer" on the premises. The officer is familiar with all the residents and makes it their priority to keep, not only my three children safe, but all the children who live and play at Magnolia Townhomes. Magnolia Townhomes has CONVENENCE , SAFTEY, AND. QUALITY HOUSING. So come on and let me be the first to say, Welcome neighbor. You will love it here, I do, it was the best decision I've ever made. Valerie B. Spartanburg SC
My name is Stephon Jones and my wife daughter and I have been living here for 5 1/2 years and it is an amazing place to live. The office staff is friendly and very caring, understanding individuals. The work orders a filled promptly and conveniently. The environment is quiet and peaceful and we are glad to call Magnolia Townhomes and home.
I really enjoy living in this nice, quiet, safe environment. If there is any problems it is taken care of immediately.
