Property Ratings at Townhouse Gardens
My husband and I moved in during the pandemic and the staff here made every effort possible to make it as smooth of a move possible. Very helpful and accommodating. The apartments are very nice and the grounds are as well. We have had great neighbors and cannot complain about a single thing. They are very on top of ensuring the property stays clean and well maintained. From the lawn care to the snow removal and even power washing the buildings this is a company that cares about their property and their tenants. You will love living here!
My wife and I lived here for 3 years and loved our time in the location. I would advise checking the specific floor plan for your unit as they're not all uniform, and thinking through the foot paths. That was one of our biggest complaints was the location of doors/closets forced our hand in terms of furniture. The kitchen is also small, there's a general lack of overhead lighting, the basement storage isn't great either. So those are your negatives, the price for the apartment is very competitive, the location is great, we never had to deal with our neighbor's noise. You're right off of 83, but you're almost in Somers so it's a bit of a drive anywhere, on the other hand you're only a half hour from Hartford and Springfield. The area around you is gorgeous especially in the spring/summer, I would advise just getting out for a few rides off the main roads. The neighborhood is quiet and the people friendly, it's a great place to stretch your legs and get in a walk on the evenings. You're close to the summer Farmer's Market, the outdoor space is fantastic as well. Maintenance and office staff aren't on site, but we didn't have many problems with getting what we needed in a reasonable time. For a single person or a young couple the space is great, you may outgrow it like we did in time but in terms of value per dollar you'll have a hard time beating this place.
These apartments are amazing for the price. The landscaping is always done very nicely and everyone seems to keep the noise to a minimum and is very courteous. The water is not the best... (made my skin break out and hair dry) but installing a Brita filter is not much to complain about. Having a patio is extremely nice and the leasing consultant is also very friendly. This place is kind of far out if you don't mind living in a wooded area. At times I with there was a bit more outside noise but it's not much to complain about!! Townhouse gardens is definitely a place to check out.
