Property Ratings at Townlake Of Coppell
I am scared to go to the kitchen and open any closets, because roaches will meet me there. Pest control is just like a superficial game even though I pay for it. They do come on my requests but it's not working. Looks like I will live with the roaches until the end of my lease. The management knows the roach issue, but nothing really helpful happened.

These apartments are not worth what they are leasing for. You are pretty much paying to be in a great school zone. The apartments are moldy and In the past almost 3 years we have lived here pest control has come by once or twice so roaches are a problem. Also rent went up a ridiculous amount. We will not be renewing and I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are considering living here.

Terrible first impression. After moving in I able to know that my unit does not have dryer & washer. Also, they don’t have common washer & dryer in the society. Society manager recommended me one vender to take washer & dryer on rent & that provide provided me a non-functional washing machine. When I made a complaint, they replaced that non-functional washing machine with a non-functional one. Apart from that, the house I got that was not properly cleaned before handing over to me.

The property management for these apartments is the absolute worst I have ever had to deal with. Maintenance requests are done with the cheapest possible fixes, frequently breaking again due to shoddy workmanship. Combine that with the paper-thin sub-floors that allow anyone on lower floors to literally hear every footstep of the upstairs tenants, and it makes for a miserable living experience. The people living above me made excessive noise - stomping on the floor making it sound like a herd of elephants taking a zumba class. And when I asked them to stop and knocked on the ceiling to indicate they were being too loud, the property manager gave ME a noise citation, but not the people upstairs. 0/10 would not recommend.

Hello Troy, Thank you for sharing your concern. Our residents come first to us, so we would like to resolve this situation to the best of our abilities. The Townlake Team works hard for each resident and would offer you the same. We understand your frustration with upstairs neighbors and would have offered you an upstairs apartment. We wish you the best on your new home. Townlake Team
I have lived here for almost 9 months and love it. I had a small issue with my dishwasher when I first moved in, due to the previous tenants breaking it, and it was resolved quickly. Living here has been peaceful. The grounds are always being kept clean and landscape is always being maintained. The staff truly cares about the residents, which is really rare to have. It is much appreciated. Trash can tend to pile up, but it’s bound to happen with the way the parking lot was designed, it’s hard to fit more dumpsters. Staff is great at keeping up with it. Great complex in a great area.

Greystar is horrible. Office staff are rude and do not want to hear any issues or complaints from residents. Staff will continuously threaten you with fines. They are also now requiring bike permits for the kids bikes otherwise they are threatening to throw them in the trash. Stay away until Greystar is gone.

Hello Don, Thank you for your recent review of our community. Unfortunately, it appears we have had a serious communication blunder and we have inadvertently caused you much grief. This was not our intention. Please accept our sincere apology. We hope to clean out the old bikes left from previous residents so you can have more space at the bike racks. Tags are only during this time so we don't remove the wrong bikes. I would like the opportunity to speak to you and resolve any complaints. We take customer service very serious and I want a chance to help resolve any issues. Please call me at 972-393-2500 or email me at TownlakeCoppellMgr@greystr.com. I look forward to your feedback as it helps us improve the experience for our customers. Sincerely, Denise Wade, Community Manager, Townlake of Coppell
The staff and manager very rude and unprofessional. Don’t go there ever. All their deals just for hiding their bad management and stuff. If I can give them bellow 0 it would be -10 . Or less Good luck if you already rented.
0 stars if possible. If something breaks in the apartment, nobody would show up at least for 2 months. Service is beyond awful. If you are even a day late paying your rent, you will be robbed $100 for late fee. No apparent pest control. Overflowing trash bins are all over the place. Just downright shabby apartments. Manager Tracye is super rude and aggressive. Horrible experience.
My fiancé and her daughter live here and it's absolutely terrible. She hasn't been able to stay in her apt for a week now because of an infestation of Earwig bugs. She has complained and called and emailed the office but they have done Nothing. Didn't lift a finger to help her. She spread out some bug killing powder and that didn't work so I went and got a couple bug bombs and we set them off. While I was there I noticed that a light fixture was hanging out of the ceiling in her closet, hot wires exposed. She said she asked for some one to come fix it but no one did. Her smoke alarm was hanging out of the ceiling with wires exposed too, again she called and no one came to fix her SMOKE ALARM! The office people actually laughed at her when she called today to request for a 4th time to please come fix these items and get rid of the invading bugs! This apt complex is really old and in desperate need of an upgrade. The only thing separating this complex and one you'd find in South Dallas is its planted right in the middle of Coppell. The prices they charge her for this old run down apt are insane. I warned my fiancé not to move here, I've delt with them before but her daughter was still in school and it was all she could afford. Now they are taking advantage of her. She works so freaking hard as a single mom and I live kinda far away. They will come live with me after her lease is up, she can't wait to get away and I can't either. The office folks are rude and there's no dealing with the manager, they are completely disconnect from their customers. They run the place like a filthy convenience store more than apartment homes. Last time I lived here it took them 5 days to fix the A/C and we had a breaker keep tripping and it was a big fire hazard, the electrical panel was super hot to the touch. We waited for a month to get things fixed. The dumpsters are ALWAYS over flowing with trash and old furniture, it's a rats nest. I would never EVER recommend this complex to any one ever! Needs to be torn down. It's an eye sore in the town of Coppell. Please PM me to view photos of the horrible conditions I will gladly share photos and videos of the conditions this terrible apt complex refuses to handle.
I was moving from out of state. Rented here based on their site and even talked on of their staff. They were very polite till I singed the contract. Then it all started going down. They don't do what they promise. When I moved in the apartment was not clean at all. They did not do anything. Within couple of weeks I need to make 4 or 5 maintenance calls. This is what they say a newly renovated apartment. Very rude apartment management personal. Would never recommend to any one.
Its been only 3 month here. They say it is newly renovated and everything in apartment is breaking and falling off. Including ceiling, plaster wooden floor kitchen cabinets etc etc. every week i call maintainance guys for something like ants spiders no hot water no power water leak and all thoese things.
Hi I came to this apartment on a short term lease and still live here due to lease terms I moved on Jun 10th only to find roaches every where in the ready to move in apartment. When I asked they said they won't do pest control during transition between tenants and will be done on requests and offered me to move to a different unit and when required about the residents they said it is common. They have been doing a poor pest control service and not a strong treatmeng and the pests won't go away I live in this apartment with twin infant with a constant fear that it might affect their health I requested the manager to even keep the Hun month rent but relieve me from the lease so that I can move to a different apt but she won't I know Coppell is an ISD but think twice before renting here specially when you are going to live with kids Thanks Jothi
I am a current resident. I would not recommend moving here unless you do some serious looking first. It isn't a bad place, just not somewhere I would recommend. On the positive side, the neighborhood and complex is quiet and I feel safe and maintenance is fast and efficient when a request is put in. On the negative, the walls are thin and I can hear my neighbors clearly. Here is my experience and why I would not recommend:<br/><br/>First of all, I rented sight unseen. Shame on me. I was moving from a distance and had a short time to find an available place to live. The staff I dealt with via phone and in person when I came to rent (I saw AN apartment, but mine was still being lived in, so I couldn't see it.) were friendly and helpful in a very stressful situation. They made me feel comfortable and "at home." So, I rented based on them telling me I would get a "renovated" apartment with new appliances. <br/><br/>The day I picked up my keys, everything seemed fine. It wasn't the apartment I'd been led to believe it would be and there is no covered parking near me as I was told there would be. Okay. I can deal with that. I was exhausted (I'd driven in that morning with my cat and what belongings I would need until my furniture, etc. was delivered) so I just basically picked up my keys and went to the apartment and crashed. The next day, I started to look around. It became more and more evident that NOTHING had been done to my apartment between me and the prior tenant. It had not been cleaned properly (if at all), it had not been repainted, etc. AND to top it off, the appliances were not new (obviously repainted and no ice maker in the freezer) and the apartment was not remodeled/updated with granite, etc. I told the apartment staff and got a very friendly, smiley response of "we're sorry." They seemed unwilling or unable to do anything more than apologize. So, I went back and CLEANED my apartment myself (the toilet and shower had not been cleaned after the prior tenants moved out.). I didn't have any furniture, so it was easy enough. I noted all of the scratches and nail holes, etc. on my move in form and went on with life - unhappy, but feeling like "what can I do, I've signed a years' lease."<br/><br/>A couple of months into my stay, I got a survey from the rental company. I answered honestly about it all and then I got a response (finally) of "what can we do?" Honestly, too little too late. They did a couple of things to placate me.
I've lived at the Townlake of Coppell for four or five years. Every year the rent goes up with no incentive. I have no carport, no garage, and it's not even a gated community. The power and hot water shuts off without warning every month. The office staff is hard to contact. I love the area but I don't believe in paying $900 for a one bedroom apartment that was once $590/mo. I have no new appliances, no new rug, nothing to justify the massive increase. If you want to waste money, feel free to rent here... I'm out!
Apartments are spacious. It's located in the center of Coppell. Easy access to major highways.
