Saginaw is a Central Michigan community with lots of comforting conveniences. Once a prospering lumber town, it soon became a thriving car manufacturing center until arriving at clean energy innovation and production.
Served by two local colleges (Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University), residents and students alike enjoy its focus on academics. Downtown Saginaw is the area’s entertainment district – the local symphony performs regular concerts at Temple Theatre.
Just minutes from their apartments, residents enjoy the community’s farmers market for seasonal flowers, produce, and baked goods. Locals have direct access to Interstates 75 and 675, golf courses, Hoyt Park’s zoo, and Fashion Square Mall. Spirit is a local sports team that belongs to the Ontario Hockey League and plays at Dow Event Center.

Property Ratings at Township Court
I usually don’t like to leave 1 star reviews but I feel compelled to warn others. Don’t come here if you have kids. Your poor kids won’t be able to even walk around freely because walls are paper thin and extremely flimsy. Management was not supportive and was abysmal to say the least-offered us no solution when we had issues with the apartment. Apartments were outdated although they try to “remodel”, they only do it superficially. Best thing was finding a townhome owned by locals in the area instead of dealing with these bigger management companies of these outdated apartments who have poor customer service.
Allow me to preface this with I came into the apartment around middle of May, 2020. With that being said, due to COVID-19, I was unable to see the apartment in person, which was a mistake. I was given a ground level apartment, which I was unaware of before signing the lease, which was mostly my fault because I didn’t inquire about which floor I’d be on, but I also wasn’t told by the leasing agent and was unaware until the day I moved in. Upon move in day, the apartment was quite dirty. It was also very musty and took about 2 days to completely clean the place and for the musty smell to dissipate, which I’m finding the longer I live here, is only temporary because the whole building constantly smells musty. Mainly the ground level, it stinks like water damage. The laundry room is clean sometimes but most days, it’s pretty trashed, smells musty, and the washer and dryers are pretty outdated and gross. I had a problem with earwigs for the first month, kept finding them in the bathroom and bedroom. I sprayed around the apartment and it seemed to work well. The plus side to ground floor living is that it’s stays cool throughout the day, with very little A/C use. The apartment is spacious, minus the bathroom which is very small. The complex itself is overall pretty quiet and the landscaping is maintained pretty well. Overall, I’m not extremely pleased. I do not foresee myself renewing my lease next year, the cons outweigh the pros by a landslide.
Overall i do like living at my apartment. If i could pick anything to change about my apartment it would be the bathroom. The main bathroom is very small. Also, i have noticed quite of few of spiders since i have moved in April. It seems like i am killing at least 1 spider a week, but i am on the lower level. Other than those problems i have had no other problems.
