Property Ratings at Townsquare at Dumfries
There's not enough characters to say what I want to say. This place has roaches terrible they are in the stove in the refrigerator. When you call to make a complaint to the rental office all the say is we will send someone to spray. You been sparying this apartment for months and the roaches are still here. Mia in the rental office is nasty and rude. Property manger just dont care or never know whats going on is her excuse. If you want roaches this the place for you. If not run like hell. It maybe cheap rent but the roaches you recieve going to live there for free.
I’ve been living here for a year and a half. For starters, this place was built very “cheaply “ things fall apart very easily around here. We were promised that water and sewage was included up until like three months after our first year of rent and they sent us a bill.. which they tried to tell us they sent a notice out that it was a change in circumstance… which we never got and when I say we… I mean the complex. Also, the maintenance men tend to come to the apartments without a notice and they do work without leaving a note that they came in and did anything. They will also come in to the apartments to do certain things and leave a mess behind … like paint paint splatter and scraps from the walls. Speaking of walls … our walls have soooo many cracks in them.. BEWARE. Next thing, leaks. There’s leaks above the stove top coming from the fan hood thing and I’ve had it on and off since last year … which they supposedly fixed last year and I just found out all they did was tape what ever it is above my stove top and now it’s overfilled with water and I’m not going to clean it … so at this point there’s mold growing .. and I’ve told them multiple times that I can’t cook because it’s a fire hazard, it’s disgusting and honestly they don’t care. They just apologize and give you no answers as to when it will be fixed. Also I have a leak above on my ceiling near the living room and the maintenance man said that it’s from the range hood above my stove. So there’s that. Another thing, they lost my apartment key and failed to tell me for about 4 months, they only told me finally because I needed the filter changed and they couldn’t get in without me. We have been promised the clubhouse and the gym and like I said … 1 year and a half and still NOT OPEN… they don’t know when they can open.. they never have answers for anything. These people are unprofessional and they don’t care. They never pick up the phones and they don’t do anything for the tenants. Especially the higher up Margaret seems like all she wants is to make money more than caring about the well being of her tenants. I do not recommend this place at all even for the price. Btw the same leak issues I’ve been having is the same issues other tenants have been getting too. This place has false promises , poor communication and they’ve breached their lease agreements with so many tenants. Soon enough people will gather up to sue. Have a nice day.
Overall this I enjoy livi bc here. The ladies in the leasing office are very helpful and nice. I just renewed my lease. The apartment is very spacious, nice and easy to clean.
When initially approved for apartment, we waited months for inspections to happen as the apartments are brand new and that was annoying at first because we had signed a lease to move in at a specific time. That was about a year ago. Now, the apartments in the back row are disgusting and always filled with trash on the ground and people yelling and fighting. The police have been called here almost every other day. They have a large parking lot as well as parking in front of the buildings. My friend had their car parked for about 45 minutes while we brought in groceries and put them away. In that time span, her car was towed for being parked in a resident spot instead of visitors. That'd be fine but there is no marked spaces or lots. Every spot is the same as the other, and there is no way to differentiate between one or another. Now, we have to pay $150 to get the car and "there's nothing that the leasing office or tow company can do about it"
I was told 2 weeks ago my application was approved but no more information was given to me after that. They gave me a move in date verbally, but has failed to give me anything in writing. I have been doing nothing but waiting, and when you try to reach out, you get nothing but crickets. A horrible way to run a business, this is people lives!! Nothing to play with. I am currently looking elsewhere.
Was approved and told we can move in on September 1st. Was told the day before move in day that they haven't passed inspection yet so won't be able to move anyone in. Mind you, I'm already paying movers to help move us in the next day. They didn't care that they were putting their customers in a tough spot then get mad at you because you keep calling and bugging them about when the next move in date would be. I asked them when we would be able to move in they said they don't know, maybe October. During this time I didn't know if I should wait for them to give us a date or just move forward. There was no reimbursement for movers or for putting us in a touch spot either. We literally had no where to go since we were set to move on 9/1. WHY WOULD YOU ACCEPT APPLICANTS IF YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE CERTICATE OF OCCUPANCY? Just doesn't make sense to me. I messaged corporate about this situation of course it's nothing they could do for me!! Sooo rude!
