Property Ratings at Tradewinds Apartments
Don’t do it unless you are desperate. It’s a nightmare drug deals by the front door caught on camera, crazy people here without self control… management shares your personal information. I have cameras and the things that go on here is crazy. Smells of weed due to my neighbors all around can’t walk out to balcony to water plants because smells of someone smoking weed and nobody will do anything. Manager addressed my child rudely before contacting me she is very unprofessional. DONT DO IT
I moved in and less than a month into the lease we were faced with a rodent. The management office treated the issue as if it was a common issue and not urgent. They sent pest control out to bait and trap the rodent and they never caught it. They instructed us to notify them if we still had an issue and they'd send pest control out every week. Eventually they just stopped caring altogether. Do not move here!!!
0/10 don’t recommend. I’ve only been living here for 2 Months out of my year lease and it’s been nothing but problem after problem. Management cant help you cause they barely know what’s going on. My a/c broke and has black mold all over it and I was in a 89-91 degree apartment for 5 days before maintenance or management done anything to “fix”the air but did nothing but spray a chemical on the black mold.
We have been a resident of Tradewinds for 8 years now. We have seen management change a couple of times over the past few years. I can honestly say that this complex has improved 100% over the past 2 years. It is quiet, cleaner, maintenance keeps up with work orders in a timely manner and it's more kid friendly. We feel safe in our community home. The staff is professional and friendly and will go out of their way to help you if they can. We are happy with our choice to live here and would gladly refer friends and family members who need a new place to call home.
I moved here and I am so happy to be living in a quiet, safe, convenient and clean place. Laura and Deena are the greatest. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place.
I’ve only been here for a few days, but there was some large metal supports sticking out from underneath the stairs & so I covered them up with foam after my son ran into one & hurt himself (just a bruise). Within 10 minutes of discovering the reason why they were covered the next morning, they had the maintenance man come over & cut them off so they weren’t sticking out anymore. I didn’t even have to ask, they saw the foam while walking around the property to keep things safe & well-kept. I’ve lived in many different types of apartments over the years, some of them were ridiculously expensive & none of them had such a fast response to fixing anything - even urgent things. The ladies in the office are warm, friendly & incredibly sweet. The maintenance man are polite, hardworking & respectful. The complex is quiet & well maintained & all of the neighbors are friendly. I feel lucky to live in an apartment complex with such caring management & staff. Thank you for keeping my kids safe!
We signed a lease to move in to one unit.then got a call saying that the person in the apartment decided to stay,so can we take the upstairs above it.well thats illegal to rent a dwelling to someone, when the unit is already being rented.only to move in upstairs & no one living downstairs.so for some reason i believe that the downstairs apartment wasnt habital to begin with,BUT WHY A UNTRUSTWORTHY STORY from management? We also asked to see the unit we were going to be renting,& management said we couldnt see it because it wasnt ready.the texas tenant rights states that its your right to see the exact unit you are renting.so know your rights before hand. Upon moving we notice that there wasnt a make ready done, the unit was absolutely disgusting.roach infested...hair,roaches,dirt,scum,just painted over.also 4 days after moving in we had a administrative bill on the door, for water, trash, gas & fees, pest control & administration fees.we were told that all we had was rent & our utility bill.so here we are paying for water thats NEVER & I DO MEAN NEVER hot due to the complex only having one water heater/boiler to heat 129 apartment units.i fail to see where that is the tradewind tenants problem. So when we brought the issues of the unit to management attention, they then tell us you have to download an app. to put in work orders.so upon doing that several times,& maintenance coming to the unit, then telling us nothings wrong.when we clearly had pest, hot water problems & improper ventilation in the unit, management quickly got impatient and unprofessional. Telling us they would agree to let us out of our lease, only to come home and find a termination of lease also stating we wasn't getting our security deposit back on our door. Then the property manager telling management to make sure we hurry up and signed it. So reading over it,We brought it to Management's attention upon sitting down with the property manager she told us that we were breaking our lease, after a hassling discussion the property manager finally recanted back to her original agreement that she would let us out of our lease, and she would make a deal with us "lol" that if we had the apartment inspection ready she would give us our deposit back. So after cleaning the apartment from top to bottom AGAIN, only being there for two weeks, management, and the property manager found a way to keep our security deposit.
Property Manager at Tradewinds Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello Ms. Villarreal and Mr. Gard, we regret that your living experience at Tradewinds Apartments was not entirely positive. While we are proud of our renovations and all the upgrades to our apartment homes, as well as the addition of our newly integrated and highly successful online residential portal, we’re sorry the process was a disturbance for you. As I’m sure you are aware, Tradewinds Apartments does consider second chance applicants with less than satisfactory rental history and/or background issues - for an additional fee. You were charged a “high risk” fee of which you and our management team agreed to and signed for. This fee was to be paid prior to move-in, which in fact, was never paid. Therefore, upon your departure, your deposit was transferred and used against fees which were owed and past due. You were also given an itemized list of charges and/or deductions upon move-out as required by law in the state of Texas. We’re glad we made enough of a positive impression for you to make your home with us initially, and apologize greatly that your interaction with our team was the less than optimal. If we did not show you how much your satisfaction means to us, please know that your message has not fallen on deaf ears. If there’s ever anything more we can do to assist, please let us know. We’re only a call away! Thanks again, Laura P., Community Manager
This place has done a 360! Oh my goodness staff is great they cleaned it up inside and out. I love it here, quiet, great service!
I had high hopes moving here. I've had to deal with roaches, gnats, and bed bugs. The service they use to rid bb is a joke. I asked if they checked my neighbors next to me they said yes, they lied because I asked them. No one ever checked for bb in their apartments. On top of that I'm dealing with second hand store smoke coming in from the ceiling and vents. They say nothing they can do about it. They don't care.
We found this little hidden gem close so our son could walk safely to school and easy access to all stores and shopping. The staff has been absolutely amazing always on top of everything. They work with you and for you. Great family environment haven’t seen any unfriendly neighbors all friendly and make you feel welcome. Well kept building and anything that might come up they are on top fast. No bugs the grass always looks great no trash great parking areas. The pool is always sparkling clean and ready for some family fun. So if you’re looking for a place good for your family and close to the schools and shopping. You should come to Trade Winds they will make you comfortable.
I've had to deal with the smell, leaks, bed bugs, second hand smoke and gnats since April 2018. They don't care. In the 40 years of living in apartments,I've never had to deal with any of this!! Im stuck here until March 2019.
I was a potential renter.... Before I could even sign the lease, I'm looking for the CEO of Corporate. I've never experienced such awful customer service. So if being an affordable place to live comes with this type of service no thank you. The office staff, Ms. Michelle and her boss Ms. Dana needs to take Customer Service (Remedial) then CS101. Just be glad if you thought about moving here>>RUN AS FAST AS U CAN!!!!!
I love to find me another Apartment that I can afford with better service. I have more problems in getting anything fixed. I get to the point to where I don't even ask anymore...I'm desperately looking for something nice and very affordable....It can be a nice place to live if you have the right people who really cares about their tenants....I'm one that loves apartments, condos, and townhouse.....I love living in places like that, it's more of my lifestyle....I just thought I would share this with someone who would listen.....Thank You!
Office is open whenever it is convenient for the office staff. Open sign is often "Closed" when it should be "Open" according to the office hours. Maintenance is fair. Management company doesn't help. They don't return phone calls or answer e-mails. Neighbors are noisy. Manager doesn't send out Lease Renewal requests or prepare them when YOU ask yourself about renewing but they are quick to send out EVICTION notices if your $25 water bill is late! Trash is always overflowing in dumpsters. I got charged a double deposit when I moved in due to a broken lease over 10 years ago. I have had excellent rental history since then but still got charged and half of that is NON refundable!! Other than all that, Eh.... it's ok.
