Bloomington is a thriving suburb in the Midwest that’s in the heart of Illinois. Located at the intersections of several major roadways, Bloomington is within two hours of Chicago, Saint Louis, and Indianapolis. Although Bloomington offers a sense of small-town charm and a welcoming community, the city is a vibrant commercial hub home to big-city attractions like the Miller Park Zoo and the McLean County Museum of History.
Bloomington boasts a rich sense of history and is home to several historic homes, museums, and buildings such as the David Davis Mansion, a restored Victorian mansion of a prominent family from the 19th century. The city also houses Illinois Wesleyan University, Eastland Mall, and a wide range of local shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, and more.

Property Ratings at Traditions Bloomington
Used to be excellent. My roommate and I have been here for three years. Actively looking for a new home when our lease is up. Why? Because my upstairs neighbor is clearly up to no good. Office was made aware 5 to 6 months ago that the noise was intolerable. And we fequently hear someone getting beaten. Be patient they said. We're afraid it's going to become a crime scene! Would they be patient if they had to go to work with no sleep? Office is aware of the fact that my roommate is epileptic and the constant bass causes her to have seizures. Her nuerologist won't be happy at the increased seizure activity when she sees her next week. again be patient!! Tried talking to neighbor twice & was physically threatened. So much traffic in and out they often mistake my home for whatever business is going on upstairs. I accidentally left the door unlocked when I took trash out and someone just walked in. We have never been late on our rent but we keep wondering why we're paying not to be able to sleep. Our patience has run out. We've spoken to office 3 or 4 times and feel that it would be a waste of time to try again. I just found out that one of my favorite neighbors is moving for the same reason. Could live in sunnyside if we wanted to live like this. frustrated tenants
I moved here thinking I could be here for years to come. Not with a company that's large as Tradition's parent company Dominium. Every time I express my dissatisfaction, the office staff blames it on corporate. I asked if I could move to a 2nd floor unit when my lease was up. The lady in the office said, "we don't allow lateral moves". She said the only way you can move to another unit the same size as yours, is if you pay $315.00 more per month. I replied WHAT? Again, I was told "that's from corporate, that's their rule". Well that's a shame, this new company has caused so many tenants to look for another place to live like myself. Who otherwise, may have stayed.

management is so helpful with the application process. so kind and fair with prices and deposits. moving in next month and they have been with me every step, never had a bad day!
THE MANAGEMENT SUCKS!!!! They are not helpful at all. No one in the office knows what they're talking about or what they're doing! They promise to call back and never do. Taylor is ALWAYS on break and it seems no one else in the office knows anything but her but of course she's never in!!! I'm so upset with my service and it's sad because the apartments are so big and full of space!!
We were woo'ed by the old manager who got fired a month into our lease. Then they moved her to a different complex. The people there now suck. Many calls to the staff with promises to call back tomorrow were made and never did. Took 2 weeks to get maintenance to fix a leaky, moldy ceiling above our bath. Now going on over 1 and a half months to get our security deposit back. They have to go through 'corporate' for everything and dont really seem in control of anything. There are kids running amuck everywhere which is fine until they started running through our porch breaking things, smoking weed, and one even shut off electricity to random units. I don't recommend living here, they need the old manager back to whip it in to shape and they need to hire more maintenance guys.
There are pros and cons with any place. I enjoy the lay out but there is a problem with teenagers loitering. There is a pool, workout facility and playground on the property, which is lovely. Everything is very close even though the area isn't 5 stars. I am happy here for now.
The prices for the apartment are fair. Office personnel are very friendly and maintenance does a great job with repairs. The place has an awesome grounds grew that comes out and takes care of the property, which looks very nice. The location where I live, parking is great, I don't have to worry about a parking space. The area is quiet during the day for those who work night shift and quiet during the night, so the normal sleepers don't have to worry about being woke up in the middle of the night. My neighbors are great and never had a problem with noise. Overall Turnberry Village is a great place to live.
