Spanning an area of 27 square miles, the city of Alexandria, Louisiana has a population of around 48,000 people. This moderately-sized city is among the largest in Rapides parish. Since the 2010 Census, it has been found that the city's population has been on the rise with no signs of stopping anytime soon. This is great for those who are looking for an up-and-coming area in which to live. The economy of this town is also booming, making this a wonderful place to move for those who want to start a new career or just be a part of this exciting city.
One of the biggest events in Alexandria is (of course!) Mardi Gras. This exciting event involves parades, great food, entertainment, and lots of fun. Alexandria is home to another popular festival, Que'in on the Red. This event involves Louisiana's world-famous barbeque cooked up by local chefs and plenty of live music. This tasty event takes place in March and is typically held at North Levee Park.

Ms. Charlotte the apartment manager is the sweetest I've ever dealt with which told me this move was perfect for me she deserves a raise. The people are very friendly and helpful I feel completely safe the kitchen is small but bedrooms a so huge and the convenience of everything close by. We've been here a week and I love it so does my fur baby he has made friends
Walls are really thin so I here everything going on next door and bellow me. Took 2 weeks for maintenance to come fix kitchen drain leaking under the sink. Had to empty out a 2 gallon bucket every day as the hole got bigger and bigger. When they finally showed and I asked why they took so long, maintenance guy said it’s only him and one other guy doing maintenance for all the apartment complexes that white property owns. So several hundred apartments all maintained buy two men. Also, there are only 3 washers and 3 dryers for 40 apartments here, and they are always broken. I called management and they told me to call the number on the machines. I called the the company and they said to complain to management to get a contract for new machines since these are always broken. I don’t care what’s going on between management and the laundry company. I just want to be able to wash my clothes. Two washers were out of order for a month and the dryers even when running never dry and leave your clothes smelling bad. I’ve started washing my clothes at my parents house which is a hassle for me and them. I’m leaving as soon as my contract is up.
Washers and dryers are always out of order and it takes weeks for maintenance to fix something not working inside the apartment such a broken dishwasher or leaky sink. They really deserve a zero and not a one.
Recently moved out due to several complaints. I had issues with the AC not working in my 1 bedroom apartment, so I made contact with property manager and she told me that her only advice was to purchase a window unit and that should help. First off, why should I have to purchase a darn window unit for an apartment that I'm renting? CRAZY!!! Second, the AC leaked twice and it completely soaked the carpet in the living room, and they reufsed to have it cleaned, so I had to have it cleaned myself. Third, from day one, the toilet leaked and after 5 months of residing here, the apt manager told me that they did not have a spare key to my apartment and that I had to go have an extra key made and bring it into their office and they would look into fixing the problem. Wasn't going to happen. Fourth, back in November of 2017, my heat went out and myself along with my 2 kids had to sleep in a cold apartment for approximately a week and a half. That did it, I've since relocated and WILL NOT recommend anyone live here. and that's the Gods honest truth.
