I have lived here for just short of a year. I am amazed at how quiet the complex is! The maintenance department is very responsive and do the job right the first time. The office staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Have been very satisfied living here. Very safe.
We moved here from another major city and have regretted moving here since the first day. The hallways are constantly full of smoke of every type which we could get passed but the constant crime in the complex is horrible. We've had our cars broken into and scratched multiple times, bikes and other items are constantly stolen during the night and I've even went after a 2 people attempting to steal my things when I moved out recently. Now the mailboxes are being broken into every week and all we get is a email telling us about it but the property won't add security cameras or security. The only thing the office is good for is scheduling maintenance but at least their friendly other than that don't plan on any extra police patrols or the office to do anything for you. To add to the list the people who have dogs here almost never pick it up. The apartments themselves are alright but pretty worn down and could be fixed up and Lastly the kids playing outside are pretty calm and nice but the parents here let them stay out late and scream at night sometimes which is extremely aggravating but thats the least of your worries here. Run while you still can.

I moved in less than a month ago--but cannot wait for my lease to end! Parking is a nightmare--even though we are charged for parking each month, there are not assigned spots, and work vehicles take up all the spots. I have listed and submitted several major issues with my apartment--but have heard nothing from them in regards to fixing any of the issues. Worst place I have ever lived.

Finally, things are looking up. I was so disgusted with the previous management that I was not going to renew my lease. The new management and their attention to detail and request is definitely a breath of fresh air. There were soo many issues with my apartment and I felt a little bad bombarding the new management with the problems but they fixed everything quickly and I haven’t had to deal with any rudeness whatsoever. Melissa and Liza are awesome, very professional and LISTEN to any concerns. Maintenance is on it!!! I leave for work very early and knowing that I will be able to get out of the parking lot on snow days is a huge relief..... If it stays like this I will renew over and over until I purchase a house.??
We have lived here for several years and there is very little about this place that is nice. Snow removal is an issue every year. Simply shoveling the entry ways to the building's seems to be to much. They only make one pass through the parking lots and let the rest melt. Maintenance will only do the bare minimum and sometimes not even that much. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this place.
This was by far the worst place I have lived. We didn’t have heat for the first two weeks were lived there due to maintenance braking the hot water heater before we moved in. One toilet constantly ran until I just turned off the water. Oh and with a toilet running that whole time it was costing me 30 on my water bill. Then in June the hot water heater broke again why you ask Maintenance had put a small space heater in our utility closet again prior to us moving in in January that heater ran 24 hours a day for months it finally overheated the thermostat on the water heater. Also we had to pay for all the electricity being used to run the heater. Then when we move out we got a letter stating we owed for cleaning and canceling but we could request a meeting with the property manger. I have attempted for over a month to speak to her not once has she responded today I got a letter from a collection agency saying Trailside sent us for an out standing balance.
While you live there it is great...but try to move out and i felt they took advantage of me. I am SO disappointed. :( Here is part of my letter to them if you want to know the TRUTH of what you are getting into: "We were unfairly charged for the cleaning of the apartment. My husband and I spent 10 hours cleaning an already clean apartment before handing in our keys to ensure there was nothing overlooked. I spoke with the front office about what was expected of us and wrote down everything to ensure our cleaning deposit returned. I was very frustrated when twice I was denied a move-out inspection from the management team. I was told that Trailside did not do move out inspections because it is not beneficial to either party. I explained that I had just spent 10 hours cleaning and I wanted to know that if a toilet simply needs to be wiped down I would rather do that then pay a person to come do it after I moved. I was denied this courtesy twice (I’m VERY upset!). If you review my file from when we first moved into our apartment (#8203), we had many problems. The apartment was not clean. - I had to vacuum dog hair off of baseboards - I had to scrub the linoleum in both bathrooms to get rust stains out from the previous tenants dog cage and urine (or at least minimize the look of the stain). - We were missing towel rods, doorstoppers, and blind wands. It seems that we are either being held to a higher standard than the previous tenants or the money charged to “clean” the apartment from the previous tenants was pocketed by Trailside and left for us to handle at our move in. My main concern is the fact that we were charged to clean the oven, range top, and refrigerator. Both of these appliances were cleaned inside and out, pulled out away from the wall, vacuumed and cleaned behind. We even left the appliances pulled out (per my conversation with Ms. Stana) to prove that they were cleaned completely. All toilets, tubs, and grout were bleached and cleaned. All light fixtures were dusted and cleaned. All baseboards were wiped down. I would like my cleaning deposit of $77.50 returned to me. Every surface of that apartment was clean when we gave up our keys. I am waiting to write my review of Trailside until this matter is resolved. Other than moving into a dirty apartment, being unfairly charged a moving out cleaning fee and cancellation fee, our time at Trailside was wonderful. Thank you." (they responded with a $20.00 check....WOW)
We Love this place. It's small and friendly. The staff is nice. We are close to everything. This is where we have decided to make our permanent home.
