Property Ratings at Travis at the Lake
If I could give zero stars, I would. We wholeheartedly regret moving to Travis at the Lake. Knowing this is in Lakeway (Austin's most peaceful and serene community). I would think we are living off 6th Street DT. The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything and everyone your neighbors are doing. We have a very rude neighbor upstairs that stomps so loudly and plays very loud music the whole day and during holy hours. We have sent numerous complaints to the management about it, and they never replied and resolve the issue, because the noise never stopped since we moved here last September. We might have to move out soon, because we have not gotten any quality sleep, privacy, and peace. DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SLEEP, PEACE, AND PRIVACY.
The office staff at Travis At The Lake is one of the best teams I have seen. They always answer your questions fast. They always have a solution to any problems you may have and are always doing the best they can. The maintenance staff is also always on top of it and making sure the property is in perfect condition. The maintenance manager is irreplaceable. He always has his guys moving and working. I have never seen such hard-working people. If you are looking for a family community and not just another apartment complex this is it.
Everything is consistent and in order which I love. I feel safe and I love my 2 bath 1 bed! Yes, they make those. This is my second year here I would recommend.
Do not allow them to tell you that parking has been resolved. This review is as of 3/12/2020. There’s never enough parking. When they designed the complex they went with four-story buildings but none of parking. They blame the city for an hour allowing them to have more parking spaces because of impervious coverage. They should I had multi level parking. Parking spaces are used as storage spaces. Ownership will not respond to my emails. I have pictures of lack of parking. Don’t waste your money here the building is a great new partner looks great the clubhouse looks great the pool looks great but what good is it if you have Your wife and kids walk long distances in the rain. If you have to park far away and lug your groceries. Management just does not address emails and concerns. Do yourself a favor and ask the residence before you rent I promise you you will ride somewhere else I am a current resident. Desperately trying to get out of my lease because of the parking issue.
I was recently looking to change apartment communities. I found Travis at the Lake apartments and just took a tour. The facilities, grounds and units are phenomenal. They have amazing amenities such as a beautiful pool, dog park, outdoor patio/grills, fitness center, yoga room, business center and more! They even have an indoor mail center with a package delivery system for frozen meal deliveries. How cool is that?! This property spares no detail with an attention to quality. The units are extremely high end with stunning kitchens and bathrooms. I was pleased to learn that all the units had plank wood flooring (hooray for no more carpet) and full size fridge in the kitchen. They also have two different color schemes available for cabinets. I am so happy to have additional square footage in my new apartment and look forward to adding a desk or kitchen table which i did not previously have the space for. This property also has great views and is well lit, a gated community and has elevators in every building. Despite all these wonderful amenities the real thing that makes Travis at the Lake stand apart is the customer service. Working with Nadia and Monica was amazing and they handled every detail. The team at Travis at the Lake truly values its residents and I look forward to calling this my new home!!!

I want to start by saying that the front office staff are all amazing people! They are always willing to address and questions or concerns that you may have with a smile and a friendly voice! Also, they are still building so I am unable to comment on dog parks and parking as the parks are not yet opened and the apartments are not yet full, so parking will I’m sure become more of an issue as more people move in. I have waited a month to post a review because I wanted to give the company adequate time to resolve as many of our issues as possible. Unfortunately, even after sending people out 3 times, we still have just as many issues. The service staff has already replaced the weather stripping on our front and back door because it was not long enough, which caused a draft as well as pollen and bugs coming through, I am not sure how this wasn’t noticed by builders or inspectors..... that seems to be the theme with this place... when we looked at the apartment, we were advised that it had not yet been made ready for final move in, so we assumed many of the issues that we saw would be corrected... they weren’t. Half of our electrical outlets were crooked, the panels at the bottom of the island fell off, quickly followed by 2 other sections, stove was installed crooked and there was a large gap behind. There is white caulking and white paint stuck everywhere, the patched areas are thick and sloppy and on all of the walls, the windows are not sealed properly which makes it extremely humid, paint in the bathroom is cracking and peeling in several places, the baseboards are patched, peeling and covered in goops of caulking. There are several areas that are unpainted or unfinished, there are spots of something spread throughout the unit on the floors. As far a the layout of the apartment, we are in an A1A floor plan, the general layout is good, as long as you don’t want a dining area. The living room is large and bright, the colors are really nice and open up the room, there is a large island with bar seating space, the bedroom is a nice size that fits a queen very nicely and will fit a king if you don’t have much more furniture. The laundry closet is very small, as is the coat closet near it. You cannot fit anything in the laundry closet and because they are stacked, short people may be unable to see the options or reach the buttons on the dryer.
