I've lived at Tree for six years; I love the building and location. Maintenance is fantastic when issues pop up. But in the last two years, it has become almost impossible to get a hold of someone in the leasing office via email or phone, so going in person is the only reliable way to get something taken care of. Luckily I don't have too many reasons to seek out someone in the office, but it is a change I've noticed since Covid. Theft is enough of an issue that I feel cameras should be installed in hallways/parking lot. Other than that, it's a good community.

It’s been 5 years since we’ve moved here and I love the location and amenities! The staff is sweet and friendly. The only thing we’ve noticed is a decline in the care. There’s been focus on projects that end up neglecting the property as a whole. We had people clean the elevators daily and the porter/custodian would leaf blow the halls. The dog yards would be cleaned, trash wasn’t strewn in stairwells and halls, spit on the elevator doors. Attention to detail was there. After taking a resident poll 6 months ago we still have a empty retail space. I love it here, but more if it was like before.

Love it here. The staff and amenities are awesome. The gym is nice and the pool is amazing. Always have cool events and stuff, and good location!
I moved in a week ago. Generally everything is acceptable so far, but my apartment was not ready for move in despite being vacant for quite some time before. My washing machine was not, and still has not been installed. My refrigerator water despensor doesn't work. My primary toilet runs and has a busted toilet seat. Finally, it appears that my unit was not cleaned before I moved in. The stove was quite dirty, and there was an empty Pepsi can in my laundry closet.

The location is really the best, it is so easy to pop downtown, walk over to SoCo or Lamar, or head down to Sunset Valley. All the restaurants and bars are nearby, but we love being tucked into our own community, all while never having to take the nightmare that is I-35!

Office staff is always available, and residents are respectful of each other. Too many other apts lack these characteristics. I've been at The Tree Apts for 6 months and have felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed.

My boyfriend and I found this apartment and we’re really excited to live there. our first red flag was we scheduled a tour online the day before thanksgiving for 2pm. we drove to Austin that day specially to see this apartment. when we got there, they had already closed at 1pm. We were upset because why would there be options to schedule tours when they were going to be closed? we could have come earlier in the day if we had known they were closing early. we ended up rescheduling the tour and forgot about that mistake. we ended up applying for one of their units that we really liked. after we completed the application we called two separate times to confirm that we did everything correctly and the woman at the front desk who’s name was Makayla, confirmed that everything was good. we also received confirmation emails saying it was all good and waiting for review. about a week went by and we hadn’t heard anything so we called again and spoke with Ryan. he then informed us that “the application was never completed”. we explained that it was completed and we had a confirmation email and had called to confirm. we even forwarded him the email confirmation for proof. he really didn’t seem to care at all and told us that they gave the unit away to someone else. we asked to speak with their manager and were told the same thing. nobody seemed to care that we did everything correctly and by their mistake lost out on this unit. we were hoping they would find us another comparable unit or do something to show they cared but nope. we decided to live somewhere else even though for months we had been looking forward to living at this complex. it is very evident that there is a lack of communication between the employees and a lack of accountability with the management. i’ve never been talked to in such condescending tone for a mistake that was completely their fault.

Love being here. A great community and the office staff is always welcoming. It's in a really good spot, not too far from downtown and near Walmart and all the stores you could need.
Love it here! Staff and amenities are great! Everyone in the community has been kind and super friendly. Maintenance does a great job of handling tickets right away!
Leasing office is lovely and very helpful whatever problems occur. It's a peaceful place with good amenities. Also a pet friendly place and a safe environment
This is the best team we have had at tree in my 3 years living here!! The maintenance team is ON IT. The team at the front office handle any biz IMMEDIATELY! So nice to feel like they got your back here if anything goes awry. Ryan was very helpful and kind with everything regarding our move in. The only downfall is the 4 a.m. trash pick up right outside my window. Would be nice if that time could be pushed back at least til 7 a.m.

My name is Brandon Mayfield, and I’ve lived at Tree Apartments since April. I was impressed with the design and location, and while I don’t love carpet, it was easy to live with. I lived in both the Maple and Hickory floor plans, loving the Maple’s spacious layout and dual sinks. The move-in was easy, and the pool is always clean. Dianne (Property Manager) and Kelsey (Assistant Manager) are friendly and proactive, creating a fun community. Ryan and I, as the leasing team, worked alongside the Regional Manager Candace to improve the experience for all residents. The maintenance team, led by Jorge with Andrew, Manuel, and Michael, is fantastic. Tree Apartments has been a great first home in Texas, and I highly recommend it for its quality, value, and community. Though I’ve relocated to Dallas, Tree Apartments will always be a second home to me.

I enjoy living here. It is a great, relaxing location that is so close to downtown! The only complaint I have is for the bad dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs whether it's in the hall, or the dog run areas. It's gross, and disrespectful. I do appreciate that the office frequently sends out emails about it.

You can tell that the new staff here at tree is taking community feedback seriously and has improved a lot of the amenities recently. The gym is typically always stocked with sanitary wipes now, it sees that the pool has finally been fixed and the area around the pool is well maintained. There have been a number of extra security measures taken recently and the elevator seems to be breaking down a lot less. One thing that I would like to see if the gym be mopped and cleaned more often. I would give a 4.5 here if that were an option.
The staff here is amazing ! Such an easy move in and the apartments were so clean! There was a pool party the day after we moved in and it was so much fun to connect with my neighbors.
They do the small things right! Great water pressure, valet trash is on top of it, good appliances. Looking forward to the rest of the year!
Great location! Wish there was more lighting towards the back but other than that, Tree is in a convenient location. Amenities are ok, onsite team is helpful!

Recently Lisa and Rebekah have been helping me work out several unrelated mini emergencies I have had come up which usually would be a nightmare to rectify at most apartment complexes. They not only fixed everything so quickly, but genuinely put care into it. It made me feel like I was actually being heard and listened to instead of just yelling to the void. They have great communication skills which are honestly all anybody could ever ask for from those in leadership. Obviously we can’t snap our fingers and fix ever little mishap that arises on a whim. What makes a difference in these situations is having somebody on the team who goes the extra mile to not only deliver on promises made, but touches base to keep you in the loop! Long resolution times are no issue when you’re constantly in the know of what is happening behind the scenes to make it right! Both of these lovely ladies thrive in that field and I’m so happy to have them here with the entire maintenance team who get it done right the first time, each time! Super important for the value of keeping my lease at tree each and every year it comes renewal time! Thank you guys again so much!! I appreciate the blood sweat and tears you’re putting in! It shows!!

Do not move here! Unlivable conditions. My car widows were smashed in due to the fact that there is no longer on site security and the garage gate is always broken. My AC broke in January and wasn’t fixed until June. My apartment was around 85 degrees and they offered no solutions and ignored my request.

3-year resident that recently moved out. The apartment complex is in deep decline. Would not recommend. - Maintenance left my door wide open after a service request - Car related: garage has regular break-ins, they charge you for a security guard that is rarely present, tow trucks, they just threatened to tow any car that doesn't have update registration - Safety related: regularly have homeless in the hallways, particularly when it's too hot or too cold - You will not get your security deposit back as they charge $400/year for "wear and tear" to the carpet, even if it's not being replaced - Management has changed every year that I lived here, the only person in leasing that was of any help just left the property - They will regularly try to renew your lease at a 5-7% bump in rent, which to be fair is better than many other complexes you heard about in the pandemic that would have drastic changes from lease to lease....until you realize that the real market value is much lower than things were a year or two ago. Example: I got a renewal with a 5% increase, they didn't negotiate and ended up leasing it for 30% LESS

What a nightmare the parking situation and parking gate is here! The gates to the parking garage are constantly broken and never work. Today I was pulling out of the exit gate. The exit was blocked by a car that was in the handicapped spot near the exit gate. My car was partially pulled through the exit gate. I was worried I was going to hit the car in the handicapped spot so I got out of my car to make sure I wouldn’t hit it. While I was doing that the gate closed on my car while it was still in the gate. The gate caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to my car. How are there no sensors to make sure there’s nothing blocking the gate before it shuts? I spoke to management and they said I needed to file a claim on my auto insurance. How can a gate shut when there’s still a car in it?! If it will close on a car it will close on a person! This isn’t safe! I’ve been incredibly patient with all of the problems with the gates, but this is ridiculous. It’s extremely unsafe for the gate to be so out of whack that it closes while there’s a vehicle blocking the exit. Now I’m responsible for paying my $1,000 deductible to repair thousands of dollars worth of body damage that was done by the gate that never operates properly. And now my insurance rates will go up. The passenger front door on my car won’t even open. The gates are pointless anyways. My car was broken into last week on the 5th floor of the parking garage while the gates were operational. The gates are nothing more than decorations and they don’t even work. We’ve had rampant auto theft in the parking garage and hiring security guards to work overnight didn’t even work. I moved in the end of January 2023. Here’s a list of the problems with the gates in the parking garage since I moved in: -February 7th gate not operational and open -February 17th-28th gate not operational and open -March 15th gate not operational and open for days -March 27th vehicle theft advisory -May 30th-31st gate not operational and open -June 5th gate not operational and open -June 5th Vehicle break in advisory -June 6th my car gets broken into on the 5th floor -June 12th exit gate closes while my car is still in it causing damage

Moving into the Tree was the easiest decision I have ever made. The staff was so helpful and patient, the floor plan and price was perfect for what I was looking for and I really love the pool and secure package room amenities. I have had no issues moving in and have already received so many compliments about the apartment and building!

I feel comfortable and safe as a single woman living at Tree. The office staff is really kind and welcoming. I love the events they throw and one of the office staff even came to look at my breaker switches right away to help me out when I had an issue. I feel very at home here and am so glad I made the choice to resign my lease!

I just renewed my lease for another year and consider Tree home. I have sticker shock like everyone else on the rent increase in Austin pricy market, but even that issue I worked thru with Carlos 1-on-1 and again Tree was responsive even demonstrating the local comparable rates in the area to confirm Tree is best place for the premium price for me. The amenities great, all that too.

Living here has been a nightmare. If you’re considering leasing here, please give due weight and consideration to the negative reviews. I didn’t and ended up deeply regretting it. Maintenance is great, but the staff has treated me horribly. They ignore my emails and have been blatantly disrespectful. If I could give less stars, I would.

The staff at Tree have been wonderful to work with, and they treat us like VIPs. The gym is one of the best gyms I have utilized in the world, and the lobby area and the pool make us feel like we are at a resort on vacation. Marc S.
