Property Ratings at Treehouse Apartments
The apartments are huge and little bit scary. Houses are far away from each other. I had to walk far away to my house I had apartment on second floor. Nice view from windows. Huge bath. Kitchen is small and compact. Old apartments. Old houses.
Avoid this disgusting pit at all costs! Living here is constantly infuriating, depressing, and embarrassing, and I can't wait to get out of here. I've been here for many, many years and have seen it go from a decent, well-run, happy place to live, to a dirty, rundown, understaffed, and poorly managed slum. Everyone I talk to regrets living here. *The management is unavailable, dismissive, unresponsive, and ineffectual with frequent turnover of office and maintenance staff. I've sent dozens of emails to the mgr and asst msg that got no response. The office is often closed throughout the day during business hours because there's not enough staff to keep it open when someone has to go out. *It takes at least one week, if not two or more, to get maintenance requests taken care of. *There's trash and dog poop everywhere. I've complained *literally* 100+ times over the last 8 years (since I've had a dog) about the dog park never getting cleaned up. We've gone WEEKS with the piles and piles of fly-covered and moldy poop not picked up and the trashcans overflowing. We have to pay $20 in "pet rent" per dog per month (which is the biggest scam ever) and get absolutely NOTHING for it. *Valet trash (the second biggest scam ever) often doesn't show up, leaving trash outside everyone's doors all night, allowing the resident raccoons to dig through it and make a mess. I've complained many times about people leaving piles of trash bags and their trashcans outside their doors for 3 or 4 days at a time, but management couldn't even handle that. I finally left a note on my neighbor's door, and they stopped. You are forced to pay $30 a month for someone to walk your trash 50 feet to a dumpster. It's an obscene and abusive fleecing of the residents. *After the ice storm in Jan '23, there were very large piles of branches all over the property FOR FIVE MONTHS. As usual, I got nothing but excuses and the run-around every time I asked when it would be picked up. *I haven't seen a security car on the property for years. Last year, someone stole the catalytic converter from my car, which was parked under a light right next to the building. *I've been complaining for over 1.5 years about the broken and falling down fence all along my building. Everything is shoddy and falling apart. I'm ashamed to have put up with this so long and wish I could leave tomorrow. Don't make the same mistake I've made and STAY AWAY from here!

When we first moved here, we were in desperate need of a home. We had lost our home and our credit was troubled. They took us in. As covid lasted, finances struggled. Rent became hard.In July they helped. KaryaKares paid a small portion to help. Despite concerns with maintenance and trash pickup, I will still give them a high rating.

Management is unprofessional, the upkeep of the apartments are horrible, probably due to the shabby job maintenance does. Not worth the money, there are better priced apartments in the area that will give you a higher quantity living situation.

I have lived in the tree house community for over a year now. The reason I use the term community because truly it feels like family. The staff is considerate and very helpful in every way! There is never a problem that I can’t just call and have it fixed the same day it’s incredible!! The staff members go out of their way to remember who you are and that makes the experience ten times better and more effective. When it was time to renew my lease I didn’t hesitate because I’m happy to live in a wonderful community

My roommate and I out here to Austin back in May and Treehouse was one of the first places we checked with. It’s now October and we can honestly say moving into my apartment here was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The staff goes above and beyond to meet your expectations, ESPECIALLY ELSA, friendly neighbors, great amenities. I don’t have any problems with the my apartment unit, everything is gray. It truly feels like home. My lease ends in March and I have no urge to find another place to live. I love this apartment and I know as long as I live in Austin, I’ll be staying here at treehouse.

Hello my name is Ross, I just moved to Austin from the small village of Salado and I do have to say that in all of the people that I encountered in pursuing an apartment mr.joe was considerate, very patient , and just unbelievably kind!!!! I literally called other apartments right before I called mr. Joe and they were rude or it was a voice mail. But when I contacted tree house and talk to mr. Joe not only did I feel at ease, but I also felt a sense of friendliness in which I would like to have in my community. I've heard great things about treehouse apartment but Mr. Joe has exceeded my expectations. I believe friendliness is the key to having a great community and Mr. Joe has demonstrated quite a bit to me, thank you.

DO NOT move here. The worst apartment I’ve ever lived in and I regretted moving here within the 1st month. So many lies not sure where to begin. Can start with the smallest one - “free cable”. I point blank asked the leasing agent when I was looking. So the cable is free, I won’t see any extra charges? And I got a flat out no. Turns out you have to rent a box from spectrum for $5 a month. I understand that with apartment living you more than likely will hear your neighbors especially if you have people above you. I’ve never been in an apartment where you hear the people BELOW you. On a daily basis I would hear their kid running around playing and let me be clear I do not blame the kid. Kids are kids. I’m saying this to highlight how poorly this entire complex was built. For the most part they get to your repairs fairly quickly and the head maintenance person knows what he is doing. I ran into one issue in the winter when I noticed that I was very cold even though I had the heat on. I looked at my thermostat and it read 80 degrees. I think most people would be very uncomfortable in that heat indoors but it was still very cold. I reached out to the apartment and they replaced something in the vent and when that didn’t work they replaced the actual thermostat. I continued to have the same issue and realized that it was simply not reading the correct temperature which meant that the heat never turned on. I bought my own small thermostat which would often read 65 degrees when the apartment thermostat would read 80 and I eventually even bought my own small heater. The apartment manager at the time even felt like she could tell me “listen we’ve checked everything and nothing is wrong.” Even though she never once stepped foot in my apartment. BUGS! I felt like I had bug bites on me from the moment I stepped into this place until the moment I left. You never feel clean. I called pest control through the apartment several times and it never seemed to resolve anything. I had a few bug bites that never cleared up until I left this horrible place. Just outright laziness from the apartment. Yes I know you are called the “treehouse” but you should at least do some type of work and trimming on the trees around your property. I so often saw trees with broken limbs just hanging there. No clue how nothing crashed into an apartment or car. I can’t say enough how much you should stay away from this place.

Since they erased my review I'll just say I've lived here 3 months and this place is the worst. The apartments are falling apart. You'll have to spend a ton of time getting things fixed. Dog poo everywhere...good luck

Whatever you do, DO NOT LIVE IN TREEHOUSE or ANY Roscoe property. The apartments might be updates but it is an absolute DUMP! The first week we were in the apartment, we had fleas (and we don't have pets). Our dishwasher caught on fire. Our fridge had bugs and leaks that they did not fix for months. Bathroom ceiling has major leaks multiple times. Do not waste your money here. We were VERY disappointed with our first apartment in Austin.

At first I loved living here. It's convenient to downtown, the layout for one bedrooms are open with a lot of storage, and the bathtubs are huge.... but after a few months it started getting bad. Raccoons EVERYWHERE. They live under the apartments and if you take your dog outside at night be carful because they fight each other and will head straight for you and your animal. I had to pick up my dog, good thing she is small. Next thing my above neighbor lets their dog out on the balcony to use the bathroom, the balcony is made out of wood so there are cracks and it comes right down to my patio furniture and one time even came down on my head.. I report it and nothing has been down. So disrespectful not to mention my things are ruined now. All of a sudden we have parking lot police. I have all the correct property parking tags; 2 one for myself and my partner AND a visitor pass which is insane to only expect people to have one visitor over at a time. But anyways my tags are expired on my car, I came inside and an hour later I went back out DURING DAYTIME and a bright orange sticker was stuck to my car, I'm guessing a warning it's going to get towed. I googled that because it doesn't seem right they can do that and it is in fact illegal for them to do that.. so if they mess with me I'm going after them for that. Wait there's more with this parking deal. Woke up this morning to my partners car gone because the tires were on the yellow parking line and not all the way inside. Wtf maybe you guys should get to repainting the lines while your fixing these potholes. So so insane. Literally robbing us for money. Can't wait till my lease is up in December. I'm outta here.

Though the third floor may be a bit of a work out, I absolutely love it, and the view from my apartment is incredible. I live so close to all of my favorite places now and its been so much fun getting to be closer to the parts of Austin that I enjoy! When transferring to a new place from the first time its nice to have good staff who made it easy, and everyone at Treehouse is great! I'm excited to get to call it my home.

The Treehouse community has been amazing to me. It's a quiet community with amenities galore. Between abundant parking, no pet restrictions, updated units, laundry on site, an exercise facility, and a pool, you can't do much better. My first week at Treehouse, I had noticed my air conditioning wasn't working properly, so I went down to the office to tell them about it, not expecting much to come of it. It was fixed by the time I got home from work! Every other issue I've had since then has been fixed almost immediately. The balconies are ginormous, by the way. For an efficiency apartment, I've never seen such large and open balconies. All in all, this place has proved to be a fantastic place to live.

These apartments are in close vicinity to the downtown/boardwalk area of the Austin and a 10 minute drive to the Airport. Though recently taken over by new management, which has been making an effort to improve the apartments, the improvements have been minuscule compared to the extreme hike in rent prices. Be prepared every year to pay a lot more than the prior. If you are interested in the apartments here, try to grab one of the apartments in the very back and on the third floor-these have city views which are breathtaking! The pool, coin laundry room, and gym are small and this property allows dogs, so be prepared to deal with people not being responsible to pick up after their dogs. The general demographic here is a young, business personnel vibe, which is very representative of hip Austin. The grocery store is within close parameter as well as several fast food restaurants and plenty of public transportation routes.

The complex in an older one that is in the process of being remodel and upgraded by Roscoe Mgmt. They have been ok to work with however the contractors hired do not know what they are doing and have done a very poor job painting and re constructing the apartments. The staff seem not to care and say they can't do anything. There has been Mold on one of our corners for almost a year.
We are getting ready to move out because of the increase in pricing and how the housing market is going in Austin, but we really have enjoyed living here for the last two years. The best thing about treehouse is how quickly maintinence responds ro repair requests, and I think they recently added a gym as well. It is an older building so there is some mold and old wiring and things like that, but for the most part it's fine. It's great to be tucked away from the I-35 madness but still be close to all the major roadways when you need to get somewhere without fighting street traffic to get to them! If you can afford the rate I would reccomend treehouse
I really like it here! I have been here 4 years so far, and I love the new improvements to the complex. The office staff knows me by name and genuinely care about any concerns I may have.
