Property Ratings at Treehouse
They denied me, and I never got an email saying this, after j paid my 150 for app fee and hold fee. They never got back to me at all after calling for about two weeks. Horrible customer service!!!! I will take action though!

This property did it's job, once we were able to contact them and sign the lease. My roommate and I needed a place to stay, which this place provided, nothing more. We started the process at the start of the month, however one week before the expected move in date, and when my other lease ended, they told us there was no available space and the apartment we wanted was not ready. They gave us an apartment with many issues, however once we reported it, they did fix it. We asked for all the documents, however we never received during our time here. the place does have a lot of cockroaches and bugs, even though they do maintenance pretty often. They were ok at being responsive, but they never went above and beyond like other places I stayed at. I would honestly recommend another place.

This place is “fine” overall. But management and upkeep of the property is horrible. No one ever answers the phone, returns calls, ladies in the leasing office are RUDE and dismissive - the list can go on. Roaches are definitely a thing here. I truly wish I would have read the reviews more carefully before moving here. I’m looking forward to leaving at the end of my lease.

Genuinely confused as to how it has 3.9 stars. They’ll never respond to any emails or phone calls unless they need something from you and then completely disregard whatever you attempted to contact for. The water routinely gets turned off without so much as an email. They gave the landlord special on everything so mold is seeping through the paint in the bathrooms no matter how much scrubbing takes place it comes right back. When you go to the office they’re mostly great but the fact that I have to go to the office for anything to ever get done is a pain. Will absolutely never recommend this place to anyone.

Been living here for 3 years, the apartments are roach infested, prarking is atrocious and the floors are not stable at all. The balcony feels like a 5th grader install it and management is the WORST!! Don't move here!!!!

Please do not move here, it’s roach infested, poor management, my daughter just moved in on Sunday only to find out that it’s full of roaches she had to throw all of her food out of the refrigerator, her floor in the kitchen sink in and her balcony is unsafe, they do not take care of their property and roaches have taken over definitely not worth the money

We have been left to live in a sewage flooded apartment for 2 days SO FAR with no update from anyone. A plumber came and caused a huge sewage flood in our apartment. The manager called and had no idea what I was talking about aside from an email I sent to corporate. This is an unmatched level of incompetency from management and maintenance. There is still sewage splattered on the walls. The wood flooring absorbed the sewage. Where are we supposed to live for the holidays? We can't stay here inhaling sewage! The apartment is ruined and everything will need to be replaced. I advise everyone considering moving here, DO NOT. You will regret it.

If I can give zero stars i would!!! We haven’t been living in the apartment for 2months and there is a major leak in the ceiling!! They’ve comed to “fix it” and its still leaking. Yes they “clean” the carpet but they dont move the furniture to dry the carper under. Im sure it has mold by now and they won't let us break lease or even give us our money back!! BE AWARE!! Other apartments in the property have the same issue as well!!!

Juliet, the comfort of our residents is of the utmost importance to us, so we're saddened to see the efficiency of our maintenance and quality of our customer services fell short of your expectations. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your time so far in our community and encourage you to set up a time to speak with our team in person. For the most up-to-date information regarding work requests and pending repairs, please contact the office directly. We look forward to meeting with you and creating a better stay for you.
It's 5 pm Tuesday. I've been waiting since Friday morning (when I put the request in) that the toilet handle is broken. I'm tired of putting my hand in the water just to flush. Now in December, I put in a request for a new washer because it wouldn't spin the water out. Still waiting. On my lease renewal, rent went up $150. Don't move her. Everyone in the office has an attitude especially the property manager. It's run down. Service requests take weeks. Just no.

Shelby, our team does its best to provide positive experiences for our residents and it looks like we missed the mark with you. We apologize for the inconveniences that may have occurred. However, there can be delays just because of the sheer volume or unforeseen complications. With that said, we thank you for your patience as we get to your request. You are more than welcome to give us a call if you would like to follow up or need our assistance again. We look forward to improving your stay.
I have lived here at Treehouse for almost a year and will be leaving when my lease is up. Since day one there was a HUGE roach problem. This was my first apartment, all furniture was brand new. Pest control have came out multiple times and the problem has not gotten any better. These apartments are old and I truly believe they just need to be completely renovated. I can smell weed in my apartment from both the hallway and my neighbors underneath me (there's a hole under my bathroom sink and a closet where the furnace is). Visitors can park anywhere in the complex not leaving spots for the residence. Visitors should park in the back allowing the residence close spots to the homes they pay for. With all of that being said the staff here has always been pleasant and professional. Maintenance always came out to fix my problems with 24 hours.
So far my experience has been great! I loved the office staff and the whole process of switching over to this apartment complex! I would like to extend a big shout out to the Property Manager, Sherri! She is very nice and knows how to get the job done! This is a safe apartment complex and would recommend anyone here! Thank you Toni & Shannon, all of you guys rock!
Please read the full review. You're putting your own health and the health and sanity of your family at risk. This place should honestly be shut down and demolished. At the very least condemned, changes in management is imperative. It's truly a disgusting place, with terrible staff. Another really stupid thing about this place is their refund policy. It takes AT LEAST two entire months to get a refund, and that's the fastest turn around time they can get. They told me refunds will be processed after 30 days. After 30 days of radio silence, I once again had to contact them to see what was happening. They told me: "Your check has been processed but we have 30 days from you move out day to process it. It normally takes 30-45 days after that." They take your money no problem but take multiple months to rectify an issue they cause themselves. It's so stupid. Truly one of the most terrible places you can live. Go to Quartermill, that's where I ended up going. It's affordable income, and it's about a million times cleaner than this trash heap. Been here two days. Killed at least 15 roaches. Absolutely appalling and completely unacceptable. Submitted a ticket Monday before 8:00am still no response, wrote an email to the leasing office on Tuesday, no response. I'm going in to terminate my lease today after only three days because they refuse to contact me or anything about this issue that has the potential to be a huge health risk. Avoid this place at all cost. They will do and say whatever they can to sell you a unit then you will get radio silence for any issues, major or minor. This place should be shut down and destroyed. Imagine your friends and family rolling over in their sleep and killing a cockroach that could have easily crawled into their mouths and made them super sick. It's sad and disgusting. I have seen multiple reviews about roach problems, which I will not tolerate, and will take the appropriate steps to keep the public informed of my own findings, as well as use the appropriate channels to make the office aware. If they cannot fix this issue, and you've notified them multiple times, you WILL be able to break the lease with little to no penalty. Please see any of my other reviews, and see that I am very diligent in lodging legitimate complaints. If I have any major issues, YOU, a potential customer can be confident in the reviews I write.
Treehouse is not terrible but it's not great either. I have had multiple times when maintenance has entered my home without permission and without notice. The leasing team is friendly most of the time but they never seem to know what's going on. This apartment is also the first where I have ever experienced bugs (roaches and bed bugs). After being told that bed bugs were coming into my rooms through the walls connected to my neighbors, I still had to pay $350 for them to exterminate (it STILL took them three weeks). The cabinets have exposed wood so be careful for splinters. Appliances are not up to date but they get the job done. I would also be very cautious of the deck. Also if you do not like children this is not the neighborhood for you. LOTS of kids.
I have lived in Treehouse for almost a year and a half and have had nothing but issue after issue. I have requested that the nasty carper to be removed from my kitchen and of course nothing. I have a roach infestation! The exterminator on site is very nice and is trying his best to control the problem but the apartment management will not treat the entire building. I am not renewing my lease when it is up and I will not recommend living here to anyone! I have talk to other tenants and majority are having the same issues! STAY AWAY!
I second the student deal being good and the staff being nice at first. Which the office staff has remained friendly, but with all the problems and the maintenance crew not being able to help its kills any want to stay here. They moved us in with roaches and would not fill holes on time before extermination. Also in a one bed one bath apartment, having your toilet go out is a health emergency which they have a emergency number for.... Only They don't answer the phone forcing you to leave message and didn't contact me back until 8:30 pm at night when I put the order in at 12:30 pm noon. Now it's 10 am the next morning and I am still without a functional toilet. The guy acted like it was to much hassle to come out last night. Some emergency crew....
I don't recommend anyone moving here I lived here for 14 months and it was always something maintenance has never did anything in a timely manner any issue I had was not resolved as a priority they got to it whenever. Too many bad children always fighting and I have a daughter of my own but I never let her go outside without me my neighbors always played loud music day in and day out that was never resolved I never had a big problem with bugs luckily and the staff in the front were great but management talked to me rude especially Lisa she has no respect for her tenants and the property manager wasn't any better my overall experience was really bad and the rent is no where worth what you're getting I moved and I'm happy I live in a beautiful spacious townhomes that's affordable for but good luck to anybody who moves here most of the people I know couldn't wait to move out
I think and believe Tree House Apartments is a wonderful place to live and to raise children .. I have lived here in this commiity fr Feb. 09 ,2009 until present time .. It as improved greatly with the wonderful GOD fearing property manager ,She has gotten things rolling with great out comes for this community .. Along with her Asst. manager and other office staff their getting it done .. And they care about the residents . Now the Maitance department is improving with response to repair s .. The Head of Maitance is doing his best along with his workers .. Improvements are getting done ..This Is A Community and Home not just some where to hang your hat . This Is A Great Place , that You can Call ,HOME .... Q. R. T. .....
Since moving in we are constantly pleasantly surprised with this property! The front desk staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, the amenities are a huge plus and the property itself is always clean and we'll maintained. Our apartment is QUIET even though we have several neighbors, and it is well lit and very spacious. This community is more than we expected...you should definitely give these apartments a solid look!
These apartments aren't too bad, but the GSCAPTS actually have very nice apartments with utility packages for students. So I can't complain much.
My fiancé and I and our son moved into these apartments in the beginning of April and we have loved it. Its just enough space for our family. We are close to everything. It takes only minutes to get to different places which is a plus for me. With my son being an only child, he has a nice back patio that he can play on. A major thing for me is that its quiet and not a lot of commotion going on. I love being here!
I currently live here and have been for the past 2 years. Although some of the office staff is very nice other in higher positions are not. The work facility equipment has been broke since I moved in. I have had several guest have there cars towed despite having parking passes in there car. Maintenance not all of the workers but overall is very slow i have been complaining about the same problem for over a month and it still has not been fixed causing me not to be able to use one of my rooms.
Everytime I come to the lease office. The manager has a mean word for me or answer in a mean way. Last Visit making my child a 18 month old to stop yelling because to loud for her she covering her ears and making faces. They just seating there doing nothing. My child didn't want to be there too long. DO NOT COME HERE. ITS OLD & COUCARACHES
Treehouse Apartments are great for college students. The apartments are great for just starting out and very affordable. The best part about Treehouse Apartments is the area/location. You are no more than 10-15 min away from anything you desire. Also, every weekend there is a real flea market right next door. There is a gas station right when you come out of the complex as well as a neighborhood convenient store and actual supermarket. The bus system does come into the complex so there is no immediate need for a vehicle The apartments are right by the mall, highways, 24/7r gas stations, Wal-Mart, colleges, high schools and strip-malls. Lastly, Treehouse apartments are very safe because Henrico Police is always inside or around the apartments. I feel very comfortable with parking my vehicles including motorcycles without the feeling of them being stolen at night.
Well, Ive been living in Treehouse for about 6 months now, I haven't had any problems, The office staff has always treated me with respect and spoke to me on a first name basis. The ladies in the office are always professional and can answer any question you may have. I would refer anyone and everyone here.
I have been living in Treehouse for 6 months and i absolutely hate it! Yes of course the staff was great when i filled out the application and when i first moved in, but once your in they are horrible! I got the student package and it was a good deal to me. Then reality set in. The staff is rude and unfriendly, the crime rate is high and they have a pest problem and maintenance is NOT 24/7 their office close just like the rental close on a daily basis. Please dont listen to the hype, especially id you have children, Treehouse is NOT the place to live!
TreeHouse apartments is full of aomeness! What intrigued me the most was,& still is has, is their College Student Package . As a single, part-time working, teen-mom, making THREE times the rent just to qualify for an apartment was becoming an impossible qualification for me to have since my job & school hours, atop of my child, would not allow me to fit that criteria that all the other apartments that I've tried were looking for . When I was told about the utilities included package along with the College Student Package it was like music to my hears! Everything is right up my alley & visiting the property made me want to pack up my things & say mom "I'm finally about to have my own place that I may call home & this place is safe mom so don't worry when I leave the nest". I'm in awe with this property & I can't thank them enough for this outstanding offer . May 7th,2013 I will be filling out an application and if it's God's will, I shall be an official resident in this precious property .
