Property Ratings at Treetops
I lived at Treetops for about 10 years and loved living there. I would not have moved out if I was not moving out of state due to job. Pros: -Excellent location with easy access to all the state and local highways -Walking distance from park and trails -Safe area -Fresh air and less noise - Lots of closet space. High ceiling. -Caring management(shout out to Theresa!) All requests and questions are resolved in record amount of time - Super responsive staff (shout out to Billy!). Billy is a superman - fixes everything in shortest amount of time. There are a few cons (just to provide a balanced review): - Windows are somewhat outdated and do not provide the best insulation. May lead to higher electric bills. - Couple of neighbors that moved (esp. in the last 1 year) were either disruptive or too entitled. But it is not Treetops issue but could happen at any community. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TREETOPS IF SOMEONE IS LOOKING FOR A COMFORTABLE, LESS NOISY AND EXCELLENT STAFF!!!
I stayed almost 15 years in treetops apartments, very quite beautiful apartments, maintenance staff is very friendly, they took care of the any issue immediately. This Place is very safe. Theresa from treetop apartment office provided amazing support during entire stay , she always take care of the tenants requests and provide the required support.
Here at Treetops I am able to park my vehicle directly in front of my apartment Just a few steps to door - perfect. Maintenance is spot on and respond promptly. No complaints here, Jimmy - head maintenance guy is great. Electric heat for all appliances including heat and hot water is under 125 on a budget with PSEG, the apartments are well insulated and in the summer the room temp is pretty comfortable whereas you don’t necessarily have to have the air conditioner constantly running. Pet friendly and sidewalks within the complex.
I have absolutely loved living here for 3 years and would have stayed if I didn't get a job in another state. I am a young single female professional and have always felt safe and at home here. The apartments are lovely and spacious, and the staff is wonderful. The maintenance staff do an excellent job and have come within 24 hours each time, and fixed the problem each time. The leasing manager, Teresa, is fantastic and always available (or responds very quickly if she is not available). The community is very quiet with a lovely pool, and nice trees and landscaping. Lots of young families live here and it is very safe.
Property Manager at Treetops, Responded To This Review
Hi: Thanks for your review. I’m glad you enjoy living here, and we love helping our residents create a true community they can call home.
I just moved to Tree Tops and I could not be happier ! The staff is so amazing that I feel like I am at a hotel most of the time . The pool is clean and extremely relaxing. Theresa at the front desk goes above and beyond ! Billy is in charge of maintenance and is always quick to help with whatever I need. The apartment is clean and free of insects. The appliances in my apartment are updated and new. The yard space is fantastic and you can have your own grill and patio furniture . I am so relaxed here I may never leave !!!
I have just renewed my lease with Treetops Apartments. In the time I have spent here I got to meet some great neighbors. My apartment faces the wooded area and it is just so peaceful. Since my lease was coming up for renewal I thought I would check out other options in Highland Park and I have to say none came close to Treetops. This complex is beautiful, quiet and serene. My apartment only needed maintenance a few times but it was taken care of in a timely manor. I like the management staff, they are always very helpful and friendly. Unless I decide to purchase a home I will not be moving out any time soon.
Depending on where you live in the complex, prepare for your mail to be stolen, for nails in your tires, for bugs such as tons of ants and termites (3 swarms since March) and sometimes giant camel crickets. Also note there's no pics of the interior because they don't update them. Then there's the terrible price for heat in the winter. I kept my place near 60F to try to save money in my one BR apartment and the bill was still over $200/month It did get one extra star because there's tons of storage and washer/dryer in the place and is also comparable in price to other smaller places but that's the only thing that gives it another star. I won't be sticking around much longer, thankfully
Treetops apartment complex is located on the out skirts of highland park, New Jersey. There is no brick on their buildings, only vinyl siding, with many beautiful trees located throughout the complex. Each apartment block has abundant drive up parking spots to your single door entry way apartment; upstairs apartment entry stairs split to opposite side giving upstairs tenets their own small porch. Treetops apartment complex is a central location to everywhere you could want to be. If you make a right when you pull out of the complex you are minutes from New Brunswick, Somerset County, Piscataway, Highland Park, route 287, route 18. Make a left when leaving and you are minutes from Edison, South Plainfield, route 287. Walk out of the complex three blocks distance down the main road and you walk into Johnson Park with many park amenities. Rutgers University Football Stadium is located on the other end of Johsnon Park. Rutgers University New Brunswick Campus is about a 7 minute drive. Rutgers Pistacaway campus is about a 2 minute drive. Treetops apartment complex is a hidden complex off of Cedar Lane. The complex has their own outdoor pool and tennis court. Convenient unassigned parking spots that are always available are about a 15 foot walk to your own entry door. Apartments are carpeted for a homey feel. Stair are located outside the apartment for the upstairs units. Apartments include washer, dryer, washing machine, sink garbage disposal. Upstairs apartments have cathedral ceilings with skylight. Appliances in kitchen is the only negative aspect I could say about living here!! So that is amazing! Lived here for over a year now and have also never seen one bug. I plan to stay for a while, no rush to leave :)
Treetops is surrounded by a natural Eco - Preserve. Adjacent to Rutgers Livingston Campus and short walk to Johnson Park and petting zoo. Across the river from New Brunswick, Rutgers main campuses, restaurants and theatre district. Apartments are nicely designed with full featured kitchen, washer and dryer, terrace with storage unit. Second floor units have cathedral ceiling. Lots of light, friendly neighbors, on site pool and tennis court.
