Property Ratings at Tregaron Oaks
Don't bother renting from this terrible excuse for an apartment. The leasing office made me put down a deposit of $340 (application fee, administrative fee and security deposit) just to submit an application for a lease. I was approved and I signed paperwork to lease an apartment. A week later, management tells me my apartment has been rented out to someone else. I pick another apartment at their request. Five days later, I decide to rent an apartment from a different apartment complex and ask for my security deposit back. They tell me since they held the apartment for me (for 5 days), they won't refund any of my deposit. Be advised this was more than a month before the lease was even scheduled to begin. I will never apply at this terrible complex again. I don't suggest anybody else does either.
Drove by and stopped in over my lunch hour. Staff invited me to tour an apartment that fit my needs. Nice floor plan and use of space. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. I completed an application and look forward to moving in.
My apartment floods every time it rains or snow melts. Probably because there are gaps between the ground and wall that they don’t care to fix. All they ever did for me was dry it up and make my electrical bill 3X more expensive. Lots of stuff was broken or missing when we moved in and has never been fixed. Asked for our sink to be fixed and they came 3 times and never listened to what the problem actually was so it still leaks a year later. And I have never had a good encounter with anyone that works in the office.
1. I have contacted the office three time about water being up to my door during thunderstorms. They have yet to come up with a sufficient plan to address it, and actually took away the sand bags they had for us. I am expecting it to flood in the spring and have shared this with them with no response. 2. Trash EVERYWHERE. I had to call the office about overflowing dumpsters for weeks. There was literally no where to put our household trash. They told me "the head office is talking with the trash company and trying to work out a deal" magically, the next day it was all gone. Also, there will be mattresses, couches, exercise equipment sitting next to the dumpsters for weeks. 3. Maintenance requests take months to complete, and when done, are not done correctly. 4. People don't clean up after their pets. In fact, we had a sign in our building telling people to stop letting their dogs urinate in the hallways. I repeat, inside the building. Your neighbors will not be the best here. Avoid this place like the plague.
I love my space. Can't wait to finally get it all done. Only complaint is the snow on the curbs and turns to ice. Don't know how to solve this problem but for elderly is pretty dangerous. I keep up shovel in my car to shovel between cars but sometimes it is too hard to do that and the spaces are all filled in the morning before people leave for work. Looking forward to suimmer and no snow!!!

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Tregaron Oaks so we can address the icy curbs. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. If you have any further questions, please give us a call. We're always happy to help!
Not worth your time. They have no one there that can actually solve anything or communicate to a person. If there are any problems that arise good luck with getting anything fixed. I lived there for 2 years and before I moved in my bedroom window leaked and it still leaked after i moved out! And the last year my ceiling and a huge wet spot and drywall started to fall and after numerous calls and multi work orders nothing happened, then mold started and still nothing. I had to kill the mold myself and nothing was ever done to the ceiling. Supposedly they were going to do landscape work before I moved in and still nothing. We had a tree that had fallen down for a year before it was cleaned up. The parking lot had a huge creator in it for almost a year before we moved out (Be aware it still may not be fixed). Main points: 1. no communication from them. 3. never their fault and pass the responsibilities on to you or corporate " out of their control".
Our apartment is great. 3rd floor 2 bed apartment overlooking a golf course. Our floor plan is spacious and we have our own full size washer dryer in the apartment. The only thing I wish is that our owner would reinvest some of their rent money into the community in the form of improved grounds, curb appeal, parking lot repairs, fitness center updates, hallway updates and repairing the pool. We live on a large community but we never use the amenities because they are shabby at best.
It is clean and spacious. It is in a good area of town and close to places and things to do. The halls do look a little run down, but sitting ok looking.
We started looking for an apartment a year ago, when we realized taking care of our 2-story house was getting to be too much for us (we're both over 60). After carefully looking at numerous apartments in the area, we finally settled on Tregaron Oaks. We were able to find a garden-level apartment which meant no more stairs for us. The security was a definite plus with a locked main entry, and mailboxes inside. We have more than enough space for storage with a walk-in closet in the bedroom, plus large storage area in hallway. Another plus is the washer/dryer hookups in a separate room with extra storage. And our patio gives us enough room to have a glider and grill. They are designed so maintenance doesn't have to come in to the apartment to change filters on the a/c and furnace. The rent is also just right for our fixed income.
It is nice to have contorl access but they need to replace the flooring it's super old. But it's a good size apartment.
Great place. Fantastic space. Great location. I wish they would have had an opening.
