Minor, also known as Squire Park, is home to Seattle University, which sits along the western border. Only about one mile directly east of Downtown Seattle, this popular neighborhood is nestled between Seattle's International and Central Districts. Named for Seattle Mayor T.T. Minor who founded the Seattle Railway, this neighborhood has a rich history.
Like most downtown neighborhoods, Minor is densely populated, but there are several small parks, plenty of trees, wide sidewalks, and historic architecture that make Minor one of Seattle's most dynamic and attractive communities. This is a friendly community that provides a variety of housing, from charming bungalows to large apartment buildings. In addition to the university, Minor is home to the Swedish Medical Center's Cherry Hill campus.
Apartments in Minor place you close to downtown, Seattle University, and the medical center.

Property Ratings at Triad Apartments
Pros: Good location, close to Capitol Hill amenities without being overly loud or outrageously priced. On site laundry (but not in units). Basement storage space for large items like bikes, boxes, or seasonal items. The little store by the parking lot is great. Cons: While the units may be recently renovated, the renovations were poorly done. All the walls are painted with cheap, flat white paint which shows every fingerprint or smudge and cannot be wiped clean. The floors are laminate that gaps and buckles and when it needs to be repaired the landlords call in the same handyman who did the last repair, just enough of a temporary fix until the next tenant has to deal with the same issue. The appliances are not new. The water pressure is terrible and the plumbing is old, and while the landlords are clearly aware of this (from the many emails about not flushing un-flushables and not using drain cleaner) they blame problems on teneants rather than the age of the building. The landlords are incredibly protective of their property (ie wanting to install cameras in hallways and laundry rooms to document damage) but don't seem to care enough to invest in higher quality items, like machines that break less frequently. There have also been break-ins which were blamed on tenants, even though the robbers broke down doors. Communication is poor. If you rent here, keep copies of everything, every email, and document any and all existing damage before you move in.
