This is the pits, they don’t take of the grounds there is dog poop everywhere. Then we had all the storms they never took care of the parking lot or the walkway or never checked on anyone. Don’t be fooled by the pictures that got me to move but I can’t wait to leave...

Tuckaway is the MOST unprofessional staff / place I have ever encountered. My mom got cancer so we had to move to cedar park to help care for her. We lived 5 hours away. We found and contacted tuckaway 3 MONTHS ahead. And for 3 months stayed in contact: on our days off we spent them driving 5 hrs to meet with tuckaway to sign papers. Not once but several times. They always had something they forgot to have us sign or something they wanted us to rewrite in a way they preferred. We would speak to them on the phone frequently. Several times they had said that we had an apartment set with them - nothing to worry about. the week before moving to cedar park I called to make extra sure there was nothing more they needed from us - do we have security with them. They said yes. Cut to 3 days before we are planned to leave. We still have things unpacked and our uhaul is paid and scheduled for the next day. Tuckaway calls us and says that their plans have changed and we need to be moved in by the next day and that we need to redo some papers we signed before the office closes. My fiancé and I panic and pack everything we can fit into our 2 cars and had to leave a lot of things behind bc keep in mind we didn’t have a uhaul and if we need to get to the office before they close we would need to be on the road ASAP and we’d never get to use the uhaul. So we manage to be on the road just us and our rescue dog. With half of our belongings. So cut 5 hours and let’s skip to when we get to Tuckaway’s office. We finally made it. They had us jump through hoops and gave us many promises. In fact let me mention that on the car ride I called them to make sure we still had our apartment - they said yes they were getting our keys ready. So once we are finally there. They had us sit and wait awhile. Hardly really welcoming or paying us any attention. Their main lead comes up to tell me -They can’t give us the apartment! They said after looking over everything (you mean you JUST NOW look over everything!?) that we made just a tad bit more money than they can allow. And she even joked “oh by just a hair.” She said it like it wasn’t a big deal. Oh you’re homeless but you make very little money just not as little as we would like at these apartments and oh yes we strung you along for 3 months and had you lose half of what you own just to have you drive 5 hours and tell you that you don’t actually have an apartment with us. I wanted to cry. The lady smiled and waved us away.
Just received a call for an application approval. The application process took over 3 weeks and now with COVID19 threatening everyone’s income they had the audacity to tell me either I take possession of the property within 24-48 hours or they cancel my application. What person who has a soul can tell a potential renter that and try to play hardball with someone’s living situation in a time of national crisis?!
Tuckaway Apartments boast of sparkling pool, fitness center and also claim to be a gated community. The facts are, the side gate has been operational for maybe 1 month out of two years. The sparkling pool is far from sparkling and has been closed for the last 5 months due to vandalism. The fitness center remains closed as well for the same reasons. The vandalism to vehicles remains a problem and drugs can be seen dealt at property common areas including playgrounds. The Cedar Park Police are a regular site to be seen with patrols multiple times daily. That is in addition to their response to calls there. If you prefer the smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke, then this is the place for you! Signed, Current tenant whom will not be renewing lease.
