Property Ratings at Tucker Square
WARNING!!! If you decide to move here, don't say I didn't tell you so! This place it HORRIBLE! I honestly believe the few positive reviews I see are on the wrong property. The front office is so disorganized it's unbelievable. In the 5 months I've lived here, ALL of the leasing agents AND the property manager have either quit or been fired. I went in to pay my rent once and it was literally an office full of temps who didn't know anything. Couldn't even log into the system. I received a note on my door for late rent when it had already been paid nearly a month prior. On top of having bad staff, the apartments looks NOTHING like they are pictured online. I asked 1,000 times to confirm that the apartment looked exactly like the model unit since I couldn't see my actual unit until AFTER signing the lease. Lets go through the list; 1. The appliances are black and not stainless (we were told they haven't gotten stainless steel appliances since the pandemic, but they don't advertise that) 2. My cabinets were simply painted over, even the knobs. And when I asked for new knobs to be put on, they brought me 3 packs as if I'm supposed to do it myself. 3. Old sink, light fixtures 4. My heater was out on the coldest day of the year and the space heaters they brought me didn't even work properly. 5. MOLD is growing in my bathroom and has been reported multiple times and nothing has been done. 6. There are bug traps all over my kitchen. Pest control only comes when requested. But if you're the only person requesting pest control and your neighbors have bugs, guess what? you're still gonna have bugs.
I informed them I have mold in my bathroom. According to the “business manager” any bathroom without a window gets mold. Never had this issue in any other place I lived with no windows in the bathroom but ok. She said they would cut the mold out. When I asked what would be done to prevent it from coming back. Her response was “you don’t plan on living here for years and years. It takes years for mold to form”. The model should only be used for layout purposes because the interior of the units they are renting are not the same. The grounds are unkept, buildings are unkept, breezeways don’t look like they’ve been power washed in YEARS! Just save yourself the headache don’t move here. People rotate in and out the office so much INCLUDING maintenance. I’ve never experienced such a poor living experience.
The apartment complex is riddled with cockroaches and other bugs. There is little to not responsiveness from management to fix issues. 1 star is FAR too high of a rating. I guarantee you will regret moving here.
The staff from the higher up to the bottom is UNPROFESSIONAL! Horrible staff!
It's awful . We've only been here a couple of months. It doesn't feel safe . Nasty neighbors who leave trash in the breeze way . They don't fix anything . I feel as if we are in an abandon basement and not a rental unit. It has taken them forever to fix the smallest issues . We have severe water damage in our living room and no one has came to fix it !! The rent is too high and not worth the cost for the units .
The bugs should be co-signers because they will be there long after you leave.
The rent office is the only nice building there the rest are patched together nothing every gets fixed my toilet was broken for 6 months the sliding door 4 months the cabinets were falling apart there was a slight electrical problem with the power going out, my celling started peeling and was never fix the 1st management team that was there when I moved in was stealing and trying giving false fees. The second team is really no better they only fix up the outside ti try to trick new renters in. After I moved out with the proper notice they try and collect extra money that I don't owe. Don't move here the area is bad as well.
Property Manager at Tucker Square, Responded To This Review
It's a shame that you would post such a negative review. I know who you are and why you wrote this. As you know since we took over we have been updating the apartments, you could have easily transferred to another unit. However, we do complete a walk-through on current units to see the conditions in which the apartment is kept. As for your comment regarding having to pay additional fees at time of move-out, would only occur if you are still in a lease with us. Giving adequate notice is just part of your responsibility. You would still be responsible for any rent due. If you gave notice but you still had months remaining on your lease than you would be responsible for a lease termination fee. I would be more than happy to go over your account or your lease if you stop by the office.
Property Manager at Tucker Square, Responded To This Review
It's a shame that you would post such a negative review regarding our company and property. If in fact you did give management adequate notice to vacate and fees were still assessed, it was due to the condition in which you left the apartment or because you were still within your lease term, which requires the resident to pay an early termination fee. As for your other comments, We are updating our units, if you would have spoken to us about a transfer we would have been more than happy to transfer you. We have transferred many of our residents to newly updated units and most of our residents have renewed for another year.

I should of did my research and paid attention to reviews... Please take reviews seriously. We have new owners. But these apartments have to be tore down. To get rid of these roaches. Roaches are in the stove dishwasher fridge sinks tubs everywhere. And they rehab apartments that people have moved out of. And the roaches have taken over. if your going to rehab. Do every apartment in the building. No matter about the camaras here. There is alot of gang members that live here. This not a safe place to raise your children. Not unless you are use to this life style. Looks can be deceiving. My electric bill run so high. I am always at work. Its cause the front door has gaps and windows. The apartments new management make it seem like. Its your fault your electric bill high... Want fix or hasn't sent no maintance to fix the problem. All they worried about is moving people in. Instead of taking care of residents that where already here. Please stay away.... Roaches is consuming my apartment and life. No matter how much they spray it doesn't work. Don't move here if you expect to safe and don't want to be living with gang members
Move here less than two weeks, the main bathroom toilet hasn't work since day one. Was told that they will fix it but since we have another bathroom what is the problem. The main breaker has gone out twice in ten days. Our stove is old and I can't even cook in the oven. The place is just nasty and the manangement doesn't seem to care. I'm so disappointed in this place. Seem like everyday it's something. Bugs, electrical problems and plumbing problems. Wish I would have check into more before we moved here.
These apartments are the worst I have ever been in. For one management is always unorganized. Nobody is ever on the same page. Next the overall property is incredibly dirty. There is constantly trash everywhere, and the dumpster designated for trash is always full due to them not providing a large enough dumpster that would accommodate the entire property. Maintenance never responds on time. My bedroom outlets havent worked since I switched to this unit and that was over two months ago. I would give zero stars but that isn't an option. Do NOT waste your time or money here.
neighborhood is dirty and unsafe railings broken to your apartment, no sidewalks, entrance gates are always broken, garbage all in the stairways and outside the buildings, on lawns. they have no lawn maint. so its dirt trails everywhere mud all up and down the stairs. its dangerous, i almost twisted my ankle walking to the mailbox area, that is always dirty with garbage overflowing. big potholes in street. they have a big hole in the ground in grass with warning tape around it, where little kids walk has been there for months now. they have so much to fix things never get finished. the tenants are dirty and the new management could care less, and shes rude! they can at least show some care, but they dont even interract with tenants unless its time to pay your rent! it looks like a safety inspection needs to be done i doubt it would pass anything! the maint tries but its beyond there control, management needs to step it all the way up!!!
Perfect location!!love the view of the lake and woods
This place is a mess. I wouldn't wish my worst enemies to live here. It is roach infested I mean I can't even take a shower without a roach. The wires are crossed so my electric bill every month is 450 or more. They don't fix anything I've been here for a year my garbage disposal doesn't work still n the bedroom bathroom toilet doesn't flush. I have mold in my living room and children's room from when it floods everytime it rains. This place isn't a good environment for children. You hear guns shots every night. Some gets killed at least once a month here. The police are here wen called sometimes but should be around the clock here.. If the code enforcement seen these apartment they would shut them down. If you ask me they should shut them down and tar them down.my heat and air sometimes work but most of the time I have to go outside and flip the switches dont move here I repeat dont live here its not safe or clean.
