Property Ratings at Turnberry Isle
Rachael B was amazing throughout the entire leasing and move in process and my place is top of the line! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Blanca was also superb and helped sway me to live at Turnberry! I wouldn’t want to be any place else. Thank you for all your help!
If you enjoy high manager turnover, marijuana odor inside your unit, burglarized mailboxes, poor staff communication, zero transparency, overflowing dumpsters, pet excrement filling the grounds, moldy vents, and noisy neighbors then Turnberry Isle is for you!
I had placed 17 repair work orders in 2 years. That doesn’t take into account the times I had to call the emergency line because my hot water wasn’t working on the weekends. It wasn’t considered an “ emergency” to them so I had to heat up bowls of water in the microwave and empty them into my daughter’s infant bath tub so she could have a bath. My toilet would clog and overflow about once a week for a year. I put multiple work orders in for it. Their last solution was to leave a note on my door that stated “ Do not flush toilet paper down the toilet”. Don’t flush toilet paper?! Does that make any sense? I had to go down to the office and complain and finally they installed a new toilet after a year. Magically, with a new toilet, I never had that issue again. LEAKS! I constantly had leaks in my apartment. When it rained, rain would leak into my bedroom window. They had 3 different people come out to fix it and it never was completely fixed. I would still have to clean up water from my window and on my rug due to the rain coming in. Due to all the leaks, I had mold in my apartment. I told the office staff that I wasn't feeling good when I was at home and if someone could come see if there’s mold. All they did was flash a flash light into the vents. That to them determined there was no mold. I started buying air filters for the A/C unit once a month. That didn’t help. When I would leave my apartment I felt better but once I came home it started again. I now live elsewhere and never have this issue. I had mold starting to form in my bedroom window because of the leaks. While I was at work, they came in and just painted over it. Multiple times, I would wake up to use the bathroom and my feet would be in a puddle of water. It happened again the month I was moving out. They had 5 people in my apartment trying to figure it out, they had no clue where the water was coming from. No consideration for all the inconvenience all these problems caused. During the pandemic shut down, they sent out a letter on 3/26/20, telling residents that rent is still due. If you were unable to pay your rent, they would charge 5% interest on your account until you were able to pay your rent. On April 1st, they probably realized they cannot due that and then offered to set up payment plans or offered a discount if you were able to pay your rent in full. That just shows you what kind of complex this is- trying to charge interest on your account, during a pandemic shut down.
Think multiple times before moving into these apartments. Management changes frequently. Employees are never on the same page. Maintenance can never get the job done the first time and they don’t come in a timely manner. If there’s an maintenance emergency. You have to wait until the next day or later depending on who’s working. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend!
I love Turnberry isle!! I’m so happy to call this place my home. The office staff is great. The maintenance always keep their word when it comes to fixing maintenance issues. The pool looks better now than ever. The gym I noticed has been cleaner and great. The prices here for apartments is very reasonable. Grounds are always maintained. The office staff I feel is very hands on. It seems to me they actually care about how residents feel.
From the application to the tour to the move in everything has been great. My view is amazing(the golf course) and it is a very calm quiet community.
Love the location and my apartment has a garage . Its on the golf course and neighbor are great. No noise thank you. The apartment manager Rebecca is great to work with and gets things done. Has a genuine love for her job.She has really turned this place around. 2 bedroom under $1300 is hard to fine ! Also pet friendly
I lived in Turnberry for almost 6 years. I watched the complex turn from a great place to live that I called home to a place that will forever leave me with a feeling of regret. Management changed too fast for issues to be addressed as you had to start over every few weeks and explain your situation over and over. It took almost 2 years for them to finally replace our entire HVAC system after two summers of 85 degrees inside the apartment, with proof of internal temperatures and the on site maintenance admitting to not knowing how to work on HVAC systems. This resulted in electric bills of $300 in a 1200 square foot, second story apartment. The HVAC system was all the while leaking and causing the ceiling of our attached garage to flood, not only ruining a luggage set, but worse causing mold to grow all in the insulation as well as the drywall itself; yes, we have the pictures to prove this. The leak happened multiple times over the span of 3 years and it took contacting the CEO and sending the pictures for anything to be done about it. Beyond the issues in our own unit the pool is rarely clean and leaves you feeling like you took a chemical bath. The fitness equipment is old and frequently did not work. Tenants are apparently allowed to store trash on their patios. We know because it would blow from their 3rd floor balcony to our 2nd and there are no other balconies in the building that could otherwise be the origin. Management would get defensive if we came in to the office frustrated that we are complaining about the same issue that we have brought up multiple times before i.e. leaking ceiling, trash from other people on our balcony, inconsiderate neighbors with one verbally threatening my wife, and a list of issues that were never even addressed. All in all I would say that if you are considering Turnberry I would recommend against it. We loved living in the area and the apartments would have been wonderful if not for the management, and no matter who replaced who it would without a doubt get worse each time. I regret signing the last lease in Turnberry and wish I would have put more effort into finding a place I could call home that I did arguing with them about simple things that should never have had to be brought up. Just don't do it.
I lived here for several years and watched the responses to maintenance issues steadily decline. I would not recommend living here to anyone.
If you are looking for an apartment complex where: the floor plans are nicely laid out, good location to stores, shopping, and close to eateries... then Turnberry Isle should rank high. But if you are okay with a slow/no urgency to handle high priority maintenance calls/requests, extremely poor property management, lack of clean common areas, large rodent issue... then you may want to re-think this location. I've had 3 maintenance requests for the same issue and its yet to be fixed. (It’s been 6 months since my leak has been addressed or that my maintenance request has been acknowledged. Management knows about it but won't fix the issue. 'Very very odd... as if they are waiting on me to leave before they fix it.') The only thing I have nice to say is that my lease will be over in less than 1 month. (I spent months looking for a place in this area only to find out if the apartment was in great shape I would have had nothing but 4 stars... but when things go wrong… nobody will help you if they are big issues.)
