A charming historical town located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Boone was named after the famous explorer and pioneer, Daniel Boone. Home to Appalachian State University, Boone exudes a lively college town spirit while retaining the ruggedness of its pioneering past. Boone is also regarded as one of the best outdoor destinations in the Southeast, equipped with endless vistas of the High Country.
Renting in Boone allows you to explore an outdoor wonderland, whether you prefer to go fly-fishing, canoeing, zip lining, white water rafting, black diamond skiing, or cruise the Blue Ridge Parkway. Residents enjoy a strong sense of community in addition to plenty of natural beauty, crisp mountain air, farm-to-table restaurants, antique stores, and museums in Boone.

Property Ratings at Turtle Creek West Apartments
Mt first year here was pretty great, but slowly the lots stopped being plowed for snow, the maintenance either never shows up when you call or they come completely unannounced when you don't call, the price keeps going up even though things just get worse, there's trash all over the parking lot and dog poop never gets picked up from the dog park. It's been bad all around. And don't be fooled that it's close to campus, it takes a 30 min bus ride to get there. I would go elsewhere if I could do it all over again.
I got a three bedroom with a friend and a stranger. The process of getting a roommate matched with you wasn't bad at all and the application fee was fair. The room had a few things broken in it such as the bathroom exhaust fan and toilet seat. One roommate who had lived here the previous two years told me it's always been broken and it still as I move out because maintenance never came to fix it. I'm giving this place a one star because of the maintenance. Not only did they never fix the exhaust but when they were in my room, they stole from me twice. The first time I was in the kitchen and he offered to go in my room and fix the sink while he was there for my other roommate. I said sure and he fixed it, but when I got back in my room a personal item was missing from atop my futon. It was personal enough that I couldn't contact management, but I knew he took it. The second time I was at back home and they did mandatory summer inspections. Someone must have crawled under my bed and took the item that I stashed there. I won't say what they stole, but my suggestion is for kuester to start drug testing their workers or pay them more.
Has all the amenities needed: washer/ dryer, dishwasher, oven and microwave. All utilities are included. Great view and easy to get to. Also on green bus route
My fiancee and I were very excited to move into Turtle Creek West this semester since we are students and they are relatively cheap for the area. We went with a two bedroom apartment, and ended up getting one of the 4th floor because of the elevator (more on that later). What excited us the most is the fact that they are newer apartments with nice appliances and great parking. Another nice addition was the elevator, but it is almost always down for repair (this may only be due to move-in). Another unfortunate thing is that there were some problems with our apartment, like a leaking toilet and a broken lock on our mailbox (meaning we can't get our mail!). These issues wouldn't be so bad if the management sent someone to fix them, but it has been about a week and we haven't heard anything back from them. Once again, they may have an influx of issues because of the recent move-in, but a week seems a little ridiculous to me. All-in-all, we are very happy with these pet-friendly apartments so far, apart from a couple minor gripes. Management is really nice as well, if a little slow to respond. The cable provided is nice, and the internet is faster than I expected but it won't break any records (I'm a gamer and it works very well for me).
