Property Ratings at Turtle Pointe Apartments
Nunca vayan a esta propiedad me r0b@r0n mi dinero de mi depósito que nunca habite porque a la final no me gustó y así no nomas me quitaron mi dinero aparte de la pésima atención de las personas de la oficina. Tengo pruebas de eso.
When you do your walk through, pay attention to the amenities. The pool stays locked with a chain day and night. The washers and dryers in the laundry room don't work. The dishwasher in my unit has been broken a month and no one has come by to see it. They threaten me with fines for hanging my washing to dry on my own balcony
i lived here about 7months now so far so good quiet, if i need anything fixed maintenance is really good with helping and fixing stuff in a timely manner. i loved the apartments so far they are really great.
So first let me start with how they completely fooled us into renting here. I specifically asked for an apartment with w/d connection and the one we filled an app out for had those connects. But we were looking to move in earlier and the date we were given for that apartment all of a sudden started to move farther and farther away. Then Ruby called us with alleged good news and told us an apartment became vacant and will be ready for move in right away. I asked on 4 different occasions if the floor plans are the same and if the price will be the same and was told they were. Also I asked to view the floor plan but everytime they would say there were none available at all. So it’s move in day and this is our first time viewing the apartment since there were allegedly none available to review. The apartment was not at the original location and was actually down the street and there were no w/d connections at all!!! We had to throw away our w/d. It was not in a safe area the parking lot and parking was horrible!!! There was freaking roaches and I have never lived in an infested anything before a day in my life. There were suspect people touching there self out in the open on the property. The neighbors were absolutely shady and got thrown out and they didn’t come clean there apartment and left a strange scent for months. A horrible experience and do not recommend at all. Not safe not a great area at all the a/c didn’t work in one of the rooms. Just disappointing all together. Stay away and find something else anything else will be better.
i came and Ruby was the first to greet me. she answered all my questions and was overall helpful! thank you!
We're new to the area and we're looking to find an apartment. We ran into the newest manager Cicely at the store and she told us about their affordable two bedroom units, along with the amenities and features that would work for our family! We're looking forward to potentially moving in soon. Her being in the right place at the right time with her business card helped us tremendously on our search!

I will keep reviewing 1 star in EVERY page it has until the problem solves, it used to a very good place to stay until recently. My stuffs in my car (not visible from the outside) is burglarized in the parking lot twice. I did file a police report. The thing is the apartment gate NEVER closes. It always opens 1 side 24h/ day, any one can come in and come out without the code, and the security rarely appears, and when I ask the office the reason. They said they are fixing !!!! Also, there are some cats and dogs with no owners for sure runs around the apartment. Really, fixing a gate spends months??? The office just told, but nothing is going on! What a shame! It is not a safe place to live like it used to. I was thinking to renew my lease, but now I have to rethink. How many times I have to go to the office to get you guys to fix problems? At the time I write this review, It has been two months after the office told me that they are fixing! RIDICULOUS!
I have lived here for only a couple of weeks and moved in because I read good reviews. But I should have kept looking because there are roaches and nasty bugs everywhere!!! Management cut off the hot water and I heard from several other neighbors who have lived here longer, that management does this often. So upset and would not ever recommend this place to anyone! Can’t wait to get out.
Don’t move in here. Lease office never answers the phone. You need to remind them a hundred times for them to get your problem fixed, hot water shuts down oftenly and can take a whole week to get fixed without any warning. Gate open 24/7 anybody can just get in the apartment complex. Stay away!!
This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I would prefer the previous place I lived that had a roach problem, that's how bad this place is. The office and maintenance team is a joke. I've had a leak in my bathroom ceiling for weeks. Their maintenance has so far consisted of cutting a giant hole in my bathroom ceiling that allows even more water to leak. I am constantly having to clean up water from my floor, it practically rains on me when I use the toilet, and the shower is practically useless. It's been a week since they cut the hole in the ceiling and each day since more water has come in ever more frequently, yet despite numerous trips to office have resulted in nothing happening as I am given the run around and everyone seems shocked that the problem hasn't been fixed yet. Once they sent a guy out with duct tape who wrapped the exposed pipes from the hole in the ceiling with it, which provided relief for about 2 hours. That was 2 days ago. That's the last I've heard from them. The number for the emergency maintenance is absolutely worthless, nothing ever comes about when I call it. They say it'll be another 2 days before they can have someone out to fix the leaking hole in my ceiling, and another 4 days before they start to replace the water damaged drywall, although I doubt either of these problems will be fixed according to this timeline as this is not the first time they have promised this only to never send anyone out. For your own sake, choose somewhere else to live.
This community has proven to be despicable. I was broken into once, and my next-door neighbor was broken into twice. The washers and driers work 3% of the time, and no matter how many maintenance requests are put in, nothing changes. There are supposedly security guards, but they are hardly ever seen. When they are seen, they’re sitting behind the mail boxes reading. Parking is abysmal, and you CANNOT find a spot on the weekdays past 9 pm. The appliances are on their last legs, and the paint on the walls is sealed incorrectly so it literally rubs off. I’ve been brushed off by management several times and have to be very persistent to get even the smallest of problems fixed. Maintenance comes into the apartment without giving any prior notice to residents. The units are given a lemon tune-up prior to moving in; the appliances begin to break down within the first few months. These apartments extremely energy inefficient, and a common problem within these units is the A/C unit leaking heavily. I would not recommend anyone to live here- it’s unsafe, the management is rude, and the apartments are disgustingly unkempt. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I served 20 years in the Navy and during that time I lived in numerous apartments. I have to say that out of all of them this place is the worst. The low rent and the location make it tempting to want to move here but that is about it. The staff are all but unreachable and if yo do reach them then all they seem to be able to do is lie. The maintenance people don't speak English so it makes it hard to communicate what it is that you need fixed. They also lie on the work orders. When you go online and submit the work order they will go in later and lie about the work they did so it will seem like someone actually came out and fixed the problem when in reality they do nothing. I have been living with mold in my apartment almost the entire time I've been living here. When Hurricane Harvey came through no one from the staff checked on me to see if everything was okay. I've had a leak in my ceiling the entire time. My neighbor has trash piled up on her patio and no one will do anything about it. It is nasty and there are flies buzzing around but the staff doesn't care. They only care about collecting rent checks.
I currently live in these apartments with my son. Nice area to have him in, I love how close it is to my job. The prices are great for the location, you can't find it anywhere over here. The staff is awesome, very attentive when I have problems. I have no complaints so far and I've been here a little over a year.
Worst apartments ever!!! The office employees are nice except Rosa all she does is ignore you while she eats! She must hate her job because you can never get a smile from her. February 15, 2017 was the day we signed for our apartment. Within that same week my husband & I saw two cars with two wheels missing. It was the driver side front and back wheels I didn't think much of it because I know it happens. The following week there was another car which was missing wheels as well and about a total of 7 cars ended up with missing wheels and we hadn't even been there a month. Shortly after this on April 4 on a beautiful day where there was no rain, no wind, not even heat, our ceiling began to crack. It happened a little after 6pm (afterhours) and we were told that half of the maintenance workers live on the property so were expecting an immediate answer but didn't. Not to mention we have a baby (newborn at the time) who was there when the ceiling cracked but that obviously didn't seem to matter to them. It took them about two hours to come and even look at the apartment. Chazz the maintenance manager did offer us the model home which we did accept because we had nowhere else to go. The model home ended up having bed bugs!! We were told our apartment would be ready by Friday. We didn't think much of it until two days passed and our ceiling completely collapsed on our stuff as well as my baby's stuff. The insulation covered our stuff it was horrible and you can only imagine that stuff is very itchy. The ceiling collapsed to the point where we couldn't even open the door we had to ask Chazz to get someone to clean the apartment because we couldn't get our stuff for the following week because of course the repairs weren't done by the time they told us. The maintenance guys who came to clean up could barely even stand it the insulation flying everywhere. They eventually fixed the ceiling but we were told the job was rushed and sure enough the next day the ceiling began to fall again. Even after everything was fixed no one told us or called us to apologize or to let us know when we were cleared to return to our apartment. This was the worst experience we had ever been through. I still felt like we didn't get enough answers or justice because of this issue. They were basically implying that we were ungrateful for what they did for us because all they gave us was a discount of $200 for the following months' rent!
Well priced, attentive staff, and terrifically insulated apartments. There are also issues. Tiny roaches crawl up from the sink and can be found around the kitchen and restroom areas. The plumbing seems to have issues related to the age of the complex. The insulation keeps the apartment temperate, and I hardly ever hear my neighbors. Unfortunately this is not true as they pass outside the windows, but that's a minor issue. A great place for anyone on a tight budget.
I been stay in turtle pointe for 2 year.I love my apartment and the location, its very quite and close to all my major shopping store.Everyone in offices very helpful i love nancy the most shes always there for me.its a nice community come see for yourself.
My family and I have been living at this apartment for a few years now. We have encountered all times of problems. Their are insects, rats, thieves, and so much more. We try to make the best out of our home but I know that my family is tired of this place and we want to get out. I love my family and I want the best for them and what were living isn't it. We have been trying to find a place for us for years now and its just not working. We always end up at the same place we were. I want my family to be happy. By winning this prize I believe that it can happen.
I have lived here for almost two years and have seen quite a bit of problems. The rent is the lowest in the area and is near the galleria. You cannot beat the amount you pay for the location you will live in. However, it is an old apartment complex and with old apartments complex there are some issues that will arise. The first is the roach infestation. I have managed to get the roaches under control in my apartment but I constantly hear the neighbors complaining about this problem. When it rains it makes the roach activity even worse. The second issue is with water quality and availability. There are times when the apartment complex shuts down the water due to a repair that is "required" in order to improve the plumbing. They send notices a few days before and suggest filling up your tub with water in case of an emergency. This is a huge inconvenience for everyone, especially those who have to head to work in the morning. The issue with the water quality is that the hot water contains little particles and has a funny odor. Other tenants have stated that their hot water comes out brown at times, especially after a repair. The maintenance staff is adequate at best. They repair things in kind of a timely manner but always "rig" a repair instead of doing it right the first time. When I first moved in I had no AC for the first 3 months. This was in the middle of summer. It was a huge inconvenience for me. The leasing office staff is friendly if they like you. Just don't get on their bad side and they will be most helpful. All in all it hasn't been too bad, but I will be moving this November and shell out a few extra hundred for a nicer apartment.
I am 18, and I just recently moved to Texas from California 4 months ago. No family, no friends. Just started working and decides to get my own place. Turtle points Apartments, great management, very helpful. Beautiful office and front area. However, I believe renovation is needed. I move in on the 28th of this month. I also believe they should offer units with washer and dryer connections. Great place, next to everything. But, I won't be back when my lease is up.
Hi I visited a friend that lives in your apartments on Dunvale. The atmosphere felt like home. I was looking to relocate to those specific apartments but you don't except a housing voucher. I currently reside in California but I visit my friend several times this past year and love it. Thank you and continue maintaining your property. Sonia
Unfortunately when I said hi to one lady it scared her. She went on to tell me what I already knew, that people here are not friendly. We could use a little less problem causers and more families. They have too many people living in one apartment and things going on that I don't want my kids around. There are a few good people here, but I am thinking of leaving to find peace and quiet. I hope they can turn it around.
location- great location , westheimer is next to us, walmart is here but the traffic is a bit too much when trying to get home or leave work at 8 am. maintenance- im not going to lie, they do what they can. i do have to wait a couple of days to get things fixed but who am i to complain office staff- they are helpful, i havent really been in the office latley since i work when they are open - amenities - there is a gym, pools, free wifi, the gym is really nice and there are alot of eqipment that i use. i only pay $5 to use it and majority of the time im the only one there , the laundry rooms are not up to date.. thats one of the downfalls of this place noise-- well.. there are some times where i have to tell the office to attend the matter but its not horrible overall this place is affordable and in a great location. it is a pretty bbig property but i am so far satisfied with everything
