The Town of Pike Road, Cecil and an abundance of undeveloped land make up the area that is East Montgomery. Located approximately 17 miles from Downtown Montgomery, the suburban communities that make up the bulk of the area feature a mixture of mid-sized and large homes surrounded by Alabama’s beautiful countryside. Area residents appreciate the quiet, serene setting that rural living provides, but nearby access to Interstate 85 and U.S. Route 80 make commuting into the city simple.

Property Ratings at Tuscany at Midtown
Don't waste your time your money they're breaking in out there and you're not getting your deposit back for several several months still waiting on my deposit
I lived in Tuscany for less than a year because I could not wait to move out of that complex! My air would go out constantly and when they would fix it, it would work for a minimum of 2 days. The gate is always broken which brought on more problems. There are no cameras on Tuscany's property which resulted in my car being hit & broken into. It has so much potential which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. If cameras were out there and they had a better maintenance crew it would've been so much better! But, I will say it's a really suitable apartment for a bachelor, bachelorette, or young adult. Wendy, the Assistant Manager was very nice but she was NEVER in the office! If you're someone who is a minimalist, it's truly perfect for you.
Straight to the point.... Rude management. Maintenance does not fix anything. Gate never works. Your apartment will start to fall a part right after you move in. Don’t waste your time.
I've lived here about 9 months. I have never felt unsafe on the premises. I worry about the maintenance people coming in so much but so far nothing has gone missing. But I don't have a lot to begin with. Repairs take a long time because the maintenance staff turns over so quickly. I don't really think that this is the management's fault; if I had to guess, the company that owns the property probably does not pay the maintenance people nearly enough. So you get what you pay for and on top of that, they are overworked until they cant take it anymore. So yeah I've had something take 7 months to be repaired. But I think the management does the best they can. I don't like that the only way to use the laundry is to put cash onto a card by use of a machine IN THE OFFICE so if they're out to lunch or its a holiday or sunday and you wanna do laundry, you're just out of luck. I don't like the pool hours and rules are so restrictive. Last summer it seemed like no one ever even used it because of this. But my patio is nice, theres a dog park, the kitchen appliances work and look great, and it's been a decent little apartment for the time being.
Nothing gets fixed in a timely manner, I've taken to do some home repairs myself. Lynn is a horrible, rude property manager, and I wouldn't want to work for her, let alone be near that woman. She berates her staff out in public and has thrown people out of her office. Want to fix this place? Get that woman out and hire a new staff. Property is well kept up, parking is never an issue, and my neighbors have always been respectful and nice to me and my family. My dogs like the park, though the rule to clean up isn't enforced, nor does maintenance come and clean up or fix up the park (the bench is broken, and my one dog got scratched by it). If the staff was different, and my experience in the four months I've been here was not how it was, I would give this place a 5 star rating. Do not move here
Do NOT move here. This apartment complex has changed managers 3 times since I have moved here back in 2014. Lynn is the manager. She has not been here for 9 months and she is extremely rude and condescending. They have low number of maintenance workers because no one wants to work under her. It takes weeks for simple work orders to be completed. And they have caller ID. So if they know your number, they will not even answer the phone. They will send you straight to voicemail. Gate is always broken, which lead to higher crime rates. Every year this complex gets worse and worse. Will NOT be renewing my lease
The new property manager Lynn is beyond disrespectful and doesn't care about her tenants at all. She is rude, maintenance is slow with repairs and it makes living in your own home extremely hard. I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone regardless of the move in special or bonuses.
The complex has been quiet, just like I enjoy. Management and support staff are always pleasant. Location is convenient to my work place, with central access to downtown entertainment, and many historical sites. I like that Tuscany is gated and pet friendly, and I don't even have a pet :) I'm looking forward to the updates for overall improved look and safety. This is an older complex, but along with the current upgrades and forthcoming enhancements I think it will continue to be a nice place to live. Again, you can not beat the central location to downtown, shopping centers/malls, local entertainment, and historic sites! One more thing...thanks for the snacks! Most importantly thank you to management and staff for smiles and professionalism. Continue good work and you will continue to attract good people.
I am extremely happy with my residence @ Tuscany. I am in the process of renewing my lease for the 3rd year. Management is awesome! I am so pleased with the many updates that are going on right now. They have pressure washed the buildings and cut down a lot of the trees; working on the appearance of the property. I will be so happy when the other residents get on board and work together to keep the property clear of debris. Management is always accessible and they keep the residents very well informed with any community happenings. Rent is very reasonable. The property is an older one but updates were made to the apartments that make them look really nice. If they put in energy efficient windows and new doors, that would be the best thing ever. Noise is not an issue; the property is pretty quiet and I never felt like safety was an issue either. Overall, Tuscany has been a great place to live for my family.
We have lived here for less than a year and a half and we have been robbed 3 different times, the last time was the worst. On Thursday we got home from baseball practice and our window was broken, however it was not broken enough so that someone could get into the window at all, much less without cutting themselves and leaving behind DNA. We lost a shotgun, a riffle, a laptop, a wallet, a safe (which contained a spare key to a truck, which was stolen the next day), a TV, 2 PlayStation 4's, a camera, a suitcase, and multiple knives. The office manager had the audacity to tell us, "this is Montgomery, what did you expect?" HOW DO YOU TELL THAT TO THE TENETS AT YOUR APARTMENT COMPLEX?!?!? The door wasn't even broken down, they bent the door lock a little bit and left the door open. That's just the robberies! I had squirrels living in my wall for about 8 months and then they left a giant hole in my wall with fleas escaping it and didn't fix it after. This is how I believe the maintenance men knew exactly what we had and were we had it. Because they had been in and all around our apartment due to the squirrels living in the wall. All I'm saying is do not live here, you will be targeted and you will regret it.
I applied for an apartment and did everything they asked me to do, including paying my fees. After a week, 2 days more than they told me they would contact me. I called them. The office lady who answered the phone, stated very rudely that my application was denied because of unpaid rent. Also, she argued that I was told that prior to this phone conversation. Two hours later, she called back, stating that they had me mixed up with another applicant, and I was approved. Due to her treatment, rudeness, and unprofessional attitude; I rejected the offer.
The staff is very unprofessional and rude. Our company was very interested in renting multiple units. I talked to a lady and made plans to make the drive from Birmingham to view one of the units. Upon arrival we was told that the unit in question was unavailable for viewing when we specifically made plans to view the unit. Then we requested to view a smaller unit in order to get a idea of what they have to offer since the unit in question was suddenly unavailable to view. Instead of apologizing for making our team drive 90 minutes out of the way they basically brushed us off. I'm so glad that we got the type of service that we did from the start. It helped us on to a better apartment complex in the area.
This is the worse neighborhood I have ever stayed in . From the day in to the day out , when I first moved my apartment caught on fire, then it leaked twice, then I found MOLD.... Property manager Melinda Is horrible she doesn't care about residents. They take 10 months to fix a small property, they don't want to spend money for professionals to fix anything.... My car got broken into. It's the HOOD, and I regret moving out there.. nothing will never get fixed or done out there. Cause Melinda don't care nor does her manager care. I'm sure they wouldn't want there homes like that. If I were any of you I wouldn't do it! They shouldn't get 1 star but I had to click it.
This is a quite place to live. If you need something repair in you apartment they get it done fast. I never would have thought you could feel at home in an apartment but this place does. Plus they make your pets feel welcome too. They always have things plan to get to know your neighbors.
When I think of home I dream of Italy When I arrive I snap back to reality Tuscany at Midtown is not Italian at all However its perfect even of its small:)
This is a quite place to live. If there is a problem and it needs to be fix they are on it fast. I have lived in other apartments and this is the first one that felt like a home.
