Property Ratings at Tuscany Gardens Apartments
"Why are the reviews so high?" Tuscany Gardens Apartments asks residents to write reviews upon moving into the establishment. I, however, did not go that route because I was hesitant to give ratings in the first few weeks. Maybe that is why the ratings are so high. I currently reside in Tuscany Gardens and the complex is as basic as can be (especially if you reside in the non-refurbished buildings). The community is clean and well-kept. There are plenty of residents who walk their dogs, kids who play outside, and people playing tennis on the tennis court. The keyless entry is convenient but can be slightly concerning. They do have all of the amenities listed. However, things are outdated and practically broken. They are not willing to spend money to fix big issues. The modern/updated washer and dryer they showed is not included. The carpet is outdated. The bathroom is outdated. The bedrooms are fine. The kitchen is fine. You can hear everything. If you plan on being intimate or having a small gathering, prepare for your neighbors to be in attendance. The gym is small and uninviting. The staff members have dull personalities and dry attitudes. They think the reviews speak for themselves, and you're doing yourself a favor by moving into their complex. If you're looking for a place to stay and you need to move quickly, Tuscany Gardens is decent enough, especially considering the area. It is pretty spacious depending on your unit and you can choose not to deal with the staff as much as possible. Also, when you pay your rent, there is an $80 fee added if you do not enter your banking information. Good luck finding your dream complex. P.S. Tuscany, please do not respond to this comment with your fake concerns. I do not want to interact with you or explain myself. The reviews are rushed.
The property is beautiful and the layout of the apartment make it feel spacious and give it that home feeling. The office staff are super friendly and are always available to answer any questions. Maintenance is quick to respond to tickets as well. And the pool and gym are always clean and quiet.
Overall, great place to live. Always felt safe with really nice neighbors. The maintenance team was wonderful, came over within 24hours when having an issue. Tennel and Donte ( the office staff/managers) were really nice and welcoming. Tennel helped during my move in process, answered any questions I ever had, and was always friendly.
Mold in bathroom and air conditioning vents, got an electrical shock due to faulty receptacle wiring, washer/dryer unit started smoking on first use, paint peeling from ceiling. The worst part is the Office staff, they say they'll take care of it but ignore you. I hope you choose another place.
Maintainance is very responsive, may not wear booties, but is very helpful and kind. Custodians clean the stairwells daily, lawns are kept clean. Parking is adequate. newer leasing management is very helpful, and the young lady is particularly very courteous.
The fitness center and pool were amazing. Fast maintenance response. Upgraded appliances and a quiet neighborhood. Central to a lot of shopping and Public transportation! Right along outskirts of the city.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! We strive to cultivate a community where everyone feels welcome and comfortable in their home. We're very happy to hear you enjoy everything we have to offer at Tuscany Gardens Apartments.
Mice infested. Walls are like paper, you can hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING next door. People smoke weed and play loud music. They took my security deposit of $500.00 and then tried to make me pay $688.80 to replace the carpet, basically to renovate the apartment for their next victim. They lied about damage to the bath room walls/tub and tried to charge me $395.00. Overall, this place is awful and they take all of your money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Our sink broke and the appliances are old fashion. In the summer time, the AC would be on, but it was still over 80 degrees in the apartment. Mice are literally every where. Every morning I would go to the kitchen and find mice poop and urine on the counter, stove, and sink. They claim they do not have a mice problem and they literally lie to your face. Thank God I am out of that hell hole.
I've lived at tuscany gardens for a year.upon moving out my fiancé and myself cleaned the apartment fr top to bottom. We even rented a carpet cleaner to clean the carpets. After moving out they sent a bill for almost $700.00 claiming that their old carpet was matted and stain. So i called them right away.I was told by tuscany gardens that their carpet has a 5 year warranty. and it jus so ran out upon my moving out. Tell me now how can u charge someone for old carpet that ur supposely gonna replace because its old and the warranty ran out. This was a learning lesson for me that next time i should believe the online comments. Everywhere else I've lived at ive always gotten back my deposit in full.

Thank you for taking time to leave us a review here. We would like you to reach out to our corporate team to discuss this matter further. After each move out we have two separate, independent contractors appraise carpets to determine costs of cleaning and/or replacements. Your review is quite concerning and if there are additional details that you would like to discuss, we are more than happy to look into this matter further for you. Please contact our corporate office at (410) 248-5100 or via email at info@peakmgt.net. We value each and every one of our residents here and work hard to give each a great place to live. Many thanks again, we appreciate your feedback!
This place sucks. Multiple cars have been vandalized multiple times, including my own. They will tow your car even if your tag is visible. Walls are paper thin can hear people's conversations right next door, plus many other things you don't want to hear.. The neighborhood is extremely unsafe. Have seen multiple car chases and heard gunshots. When I take my dog for a walk there is garbage everywhere chicken bones, dirty diapers, blunt wrappers etc. Kids consistently play in and out of the stairways that do not live here. When I first saw Tuscany Gardens I was really impressed until I lived here for 8 months and realized it was all a show. Now it makes sense why the rent is so cheap. It is 100% not worth the rent for all of the issues I've encountered here. Save yourself the trouble and stress and look elsewhere.
If I could rate this with a negative star, I would! I personally believe that Peak Management/Tuscany Gardens operate with deceitful business practices, right along with Mc-N-Mc Transporting & Towing. If you come on to the Tuscany Gardens property and park your car at anytime, you are to have a parking permit; guess pass of course from the resident that you are there to see. And they get away with it because they have the Private Parking Only signs posted all over the property. So it's a minimum of $250 a pop to get it out of the impound lot;, I wonder who actually pockets that money? Not to mention that even if you are the renter living there and your pass falls down out of sight of the tow truck driver, you can still be towed at a minimum of $250. Not too many people that I know have $250 in CASH to pay Mc-N-Mc to get your car out of their lot. Anything after the first 24 hours is $100/day. Be careful everyone for visitations, parties, deliveries because you have the possibility of being towed at any moment with no guest pass in plain site of the tow truck company Mc-N-Mc. You should definitely think twice about renting from them. And don't even get me started on repairs that need to be done once you move in and never addressed or the fact that the A/C in the units are so old, that your electricity bill is well over $200/month. Be wise people, don't rent here.

I have been living here for 3 years now and it was OK for the most part until these past few months. The manager changed and they have just stopped fixing things all together. Can't wait for my lease to be over. If you are looking for a place to live, take it from me and ...keep looking. Don't move here.

Tuscany Gardens is a great place to live. They have improved the community a lot since Peak Management took over managing this property. They are great at handling maintenance requests and they always want to make sure that you enjoy being a resident here in this community. It feels a little suburban and it's close enough to everything you need for convenience but just far enough to make you feel tucked away from the busyness of life.
Office staff are personable very helpful and friendly. Neighbors became good friends, and the neighborhood is just overall a great place to live.
This apartment under Peak Management may have perfected the act of not returning security deposits. Trust me when I say that you will have a nice time living here if you are the quiet type and do not like any problems. The only negative starts when you notify them that you are leaving. I was warned that I would not get back my security deposit in 2012 when I decided to make the place my home but I did not listen and was swayed by the sweet words of the leasing manager that we will refund your money with interest. I recently moved out of the apartment and true to the words of wisdom in 2012, the apartment indeed did not return my security deposit citing some frivolous carpet been stained and matted throughout the unit (charging $288 for the carpet and $40 carpet removal cost), even though I left the apartment in a decent state (every friend who ever came to visit commended how well the carpet was kept for a place that had been occupied for 3 years). Regardless of how decent you leave the apartment when you move out, you may not get a dime back. Forget all the sweet words they tell you when you are about to move in and run as far as your leg can carry you except you do not mind losing your hard earned security deposit
I was raised to believe if you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all.
I have a two bedroom, one bath with a washer and dryer and walk-in closets. That is what brought me to Tuscany Gardens. When I make service requests, they are usually handled quickly by maintenance and the office staff. I wish their finished product was polished and the work area was clean, but the repairs, etc. get done. I do not like the high turnover in the leasing office but I guess that happens at most complexes. I hate that we pay monthly for water what homeowners pay quarterly. We're being ripped off. The monthly rent is the going rate in western Baltimore County.
This place has the potential to be much better if our maintenance concerns where taken care of in a timely manner. For example, the first time it rained after moving in, we noticed a leak coming from the ceiling. We informed maintenance & the office, but they only came by to paint over the spot. They need to invest in their properties and fix the roof and perform yearly FULL maintenance checks. Other than this, we enjoy living here! The pool and gym are nice amenities. The clubhouse room does not seem be enough for people to rent out for a party, but it is still a nice feature.
This neighborhood is clean and quiet, just a stones throw from Security Square Mall and centrally located between Liberty Road and Pulaski Highway, with quick access to Route 70 and I-695. 20 minutes to downtown Baltimore or Columbia this centrally located neighborhood is a steal, with a community pool, business and fitness centers and tennis courts. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
