Property Ratings at Twain Estates
Best decision I have made by moving to Twain Estates! Great apartment, great staff, great amenities! All around great! A++
***MANAGEMENT HERE IS TERRIFIC!!*** The complex is simple, clean and looks nice. Nothing extra, but nothing run-down either. The rooms are spacious! Very spacious for the cost of rent. The carpet is soft and clean, the hardwood is smooth. My kitchen is spacious, my closet is huge. I haven't seen a bug anywhere since I moved in. There haven't been any instances of violence or sketchy behavior that I've witnessed in over 3 months. Security does nightly patrols and they're friendly. There are at least 2 cats that wander the premises at night (how on earth could this be a bad thing???) But perhaps most importantly...fantastic management! When I discovered that the brace-bar in my bathtub was a little loose, I told management and they told me they'd have someone out first thing in the morning. By the time I walked from the office back to my unit, maintenance was **already there**!! They fixed it up in just under an hour. A few weeks later, my dishwasher stopped working so I went to the office again. Same deal, they told me they'd send someone out tomorrow but sure enough maintenance came by to inspect it within just a few hours! Not only did they try to repair the dishwasher, but when they discovered they couldn't, they just replaced it with a new one! The whole thing took less than 2 days, including them sending off for the replacement and installing it. My stove/oven look absolutely brand new and I've had no problems. I suppose I could complain that the dishwasher or bathtub needed work done at all, but in all honesty I would so much rather have had these hiccups and know that management/maintenance have my back than to move in to an apartment that starts off okay then falls apart and I'm left helpless. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY NEGATIVE REVIEWS MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE HERE ARE SUPER HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE This is a very nice, if not glamorous, complex in a central location just minutes from the strip. It's surrounded by a TON of fantastic Asian food and massage parlors. Safe part of town. Kids play with each other throughout the complex. People here smile and say hello when they pass you. Parking is convenient. Management are attentive. Prices are reasonable. You get a ton of space for the rent that you pay in a fantastic part of town, with management that looks out for you. A fantastic deal I don't regret. I hope to stay here years to come. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Been living Twain about a year. Many problems with apartment that don't get fixed. I call the leasing office, talk to the lady. I tell her I didn't know the apartment be so bad when I signed lease, or else I wouldn't sign it. She says, "Well, if you buy a used car and it breaks down..." And I say, "then the seller pays for the repairs." She says, "Not if the seller didn't know." So I guess that's the answer. I bought a lemon. Joke is on me. They tricked me. Be smart and avoid this place.
I currently live at Twain Estates. The community is nice, but the staff is rude and either incompetent or they just don't care at all. No hot water in my shower for months. Apparently impossible to fix, can't get out of the lease, and I just have to live with it. Staff is entirely unapologetic, gives no answers and is rude. Maintenance went into apartment to install new water heater - threw my belongings out of my closet onto the floor, blasted sawdust all over my shoes and laptop, and then never finished installing the water heater. I'm beyond frustrated and can't wait to leave.
Been visiting my mom's place for 13 years and this place has made little changes. As of today, there are still feral cats, the neigobors don't respect their neighbors and always playing loud music. There are people, which I took photos, smoking marijuana in broad daylight. There was this security guard who was not doing his job, he sat behind the laudry mat area being on his phone for hours. My mom's car was stolen when she first moved in years ago, which I totally blame the security guard for not doing his job. The hot water is scolding hot nearly burnt my son when he took a bath, which the water was set on cold side. The management must of let go of the landscape which at one time had real nice grass and the sidewalk was real clean. I am sorry but this place has gone downhill real bad and I have noticed that the long time residents have moved out because of this situation. People don't last long here, once they move in and few months later they moved out. There are loads of cockroaches everywhere, we hated walking the sidewalks because we hear crunches which meant we stepped on them. And the laundry mat is always dirty and there is someone stealing someone else's clothes when doing laundry. They also closed one of the pools and filled it with sand because someone drowned.
I moved here in June of 2015 and have now been here 8 1/2 months. I have very few complaints regarding the facility or management. My biggest complaint I guess is the laundry room and the hot water issues but I realize that the new management company came in at the same time I moved in and are in the process of fixing issues and updating equipment. I am in an one bedroom apartment on the 1st floor and have found that the apartments offer an unusual buffer from any noise outside not that there is a lot of noise outside but when there is activity outside, you hear very little. They have a few laundry rooms around the facility but at times you are a little apprehensive in using certain ones because everyone can use them and you are not sure how the previous person used it. I have seen the washing/dryer machine maintenance people there to fix issues and it seems they are trying to keep the machines in working condition. I have had my hot water turned off on at least 3 occasions because of an emergency repair and although I know that it was an unforeseen occurrence it still is a pain to come home at night after a hard days work and find out that you have no hot water. What is worse is that on at least one occasion it was off for a few days. I realize that the management team inherited these issues but I think they need a better way of communicating to the residents. I will say that anytime I request repairs, they are prompts. The rent is reasonable and the facility is clean. The other residents seem to be nice and the area is very quiet given the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area.
I have lived in the Las Vegas area for 25 years. I hopped around a little and live in this area because of transportation limitations. First half of my experience was ran by very poor management but the new management seems to be making necessary improvements. The exterior of the apartments is well kept. The grounds are groomed and is easy on the eyes. The area used to be infested with feral cats, but the new management seemed to clean that up since I no longer see them. They charge a monthly fee to park you vehicle in a designated covered parking spot, I believe it was 10$ per month. There's plenty of uncovered parking though. The interior of the apartments is quite nice for location and cost. In the loft, Linoleum floors on the first floor and granite counter tops make a very timeless decore which I find pleasant. The appliances were all new: fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Many windows but very low quality shades and or shutters. I had to install my own to not wake up so early. The closet space is enough for 2 people to manage and having two bathrooms is great. The laundry room is terrible. Half the machines don't work and I question the ones that turn on. It's way too expensive for the quality of machine you get. Now maintenance does their best. The new company claims that they were given no documents of previous request that I put in. They also claim the property to be very old so there are many issues they are trying to correct. Nonetheless I believe they are trying their best to fix problems. The biggest problem is the running water. It's about twice a week it has to be shut off for maintenance request. That gets frustrating but at least they follow up with request. I must say that overall it's not a terrible place at all. Given the area of town, this would be the better option given your choices.
Its spacious, very quite ,right across from my favorite sushi spot . HELLO what more could a 24 yr old ask for ....
I've been living at Twain Estates for a few weeks now. When I started looking for studios and 1-bedrooms, this was not a first choice. After looking for a few days, I came across Twain and took a look. The studio is more spacious than any I had looked at previously and they were running a great deal, provided you don't have terrible credit. They have security on the premises at night, regularly, and the maintenance on the grounds are there practically every day. The first week I lived here I did have some slight problems with mosquitoes. Weird in Vegas, right? I think them leaving the pool uncovered has something to do with it. Anyway, it doesn't seem to be an issue any longer. My biggest complaint is my downstairs neighbor. But that's not Twain Estates' fault. :-) The office staff has been helpful and polite. They don't always call back as quickly as I'd like but the holidays are just coming to a close, so I'll cut them some slack. Overall for what you're paying this is a decent place. I'd recommend it to someone looking for a nice, small place that's within a budget and close to a lot.
