The historic neighborhood of Kenwood is on the shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago’s South Side. The area was once a refuge for Chicago’s elite trying to escape the bustle of downtown. They built enormous homes on Lake Michigan’s shoreline that are now gorgeous, historic landmarks. Landmarks and architecture, historic streets, and a continuously growing commercial district defines this Chicago neighborhood. The Powhatan Apartments and the Chicago Beach Hotel (now Regents Park) are recognized by the National Register of Historic Places in Kenwood.
Kenwood offers parks and open green space, lake views, paved trails, great restaurants, public transportation, and nearby amenities. Houston Park, Kenwood Park, and many others are open to the public year-round. The Hyde Park Art Center is a community spot with major exhibitions showcasing local artists and must-see events throughout the year.

Property Ratings at Twin Towers
Terrible management team. On the day that I moved in, they messed up the elevator schedule, and I had to wait for a long time before being able to use the elevator that I reserved two weeks ago. I hired a truck and three movers who were charging by the minute, yet the management was not at all helpful. Since I moved in, there has been noisy construction going on in the building every single day. Why scheduling such noisy constructions when you know that everyone is working at home due to the pandemic? The construction starts at 8am every morning, and management team refuses to let me know when it will end. PS. Since I moved in a month ago, the laundry room has been shut down three times for repairment, water has been shut down twice, and there has also been two internet outages. The current internet outage has lasted more than 30 hours and is still ongoing. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with this place??? Since I last wrote this review, my bedroom and bathroom got flooded 6 times, including one case where my ceiling literally fell off, no one ever fixed the issue despite my repeated complaints. An old laptop of mine got ruined due to this flooding, but the management team literally told me "this is to be expected for an apartment building" and refused to compensate me for this loss. Something is ALWAYS broken in this building. Laundry room is down every other week, water gets shutdown every other week, elevator needs repairing every month, the gym got shut down for a whole month due to flooding. The garbage system also was out of service for weeks. Internet outage also frequent. Noisy construction happened in the building for months and the management team would not even announce a schedule. My deliveries get stolen regularly and the front desk does nothing about it, nor would they share with me the video footage. Plus several members of the management team is both rude and incompetent. WORST building every, definitely avoid at all costs.

I’ve been eyeing this apartment building for a few years now and done my research before applying! For starters, I love that I have a sky line view in my apartment! The area is very quiet and peaceful when walking at night. The apartment process was quick and efficient! No long delays! No runarounds and the best part is they respond back to phone calls/emails in a timely manner! I love how they have community events every month with amazing prizes for residents! I love how they have a car service, free coffee, two storage rooms for packages (both are secured and don’t have to worry about missing packages) and the best part is there are two large laundry rooms! I’m a UChicago Medicine employee so getting to work is very efficient for me because there’s a shuttle bus top around the corner, the 172 bus is 1 min away and the 6 bus is 2 mins away! U can’t beat that! Plus the prices.. need I say more! I love living here and you will too :) I hope this review helps you!

By far the Worst Management staff ever! The Manager is never on site or available for questions and concerns. My floor and the building smells like weed. Loud music or police sirens constantly wakes me up on a daily basis because of all the drug dealers management allowed to move-in. There has not been any communication from the Manager on what is being done for the safety of the Residents and Staff in light of the break-ins and murders that took place next door. I'm a long time resident and no longer feel safe at Twin Towers. As soon as my lease is up I'm leavening. Unsatisfied!
Terrible management staff, clueless and unhelpful. Very noisy construction frequently going on in the building from 8 am, the management wouldn't even inform the residents in advance. Water shuts down every week. Laundry room breaks every week. Internet shuts down as well from time to time. This place is simply ridiculous, avoid at all cost.
The building itself is beautiful. The management team is extremely unprofessional and lack knowledge. They are super gossipy and are not to be trusted. I was a tenant here before, and "your quality of life" really depends on who is running the building. The management prior to this when I lived here were excellent. Older and professional. You have a bunch young people in the management office that are not qualified and lack knowledge of HOW to run a business/building. I've had several instances of unprofessional behavior. I finally had enough and got a new place because my peace of mind is worth quite a bit. The only reason I wanted to possibly stay is because, moving itself is stressful. But look around Hyde Park before choosing this building. There are alot of reasonably priced apartments with excellent management choices in Hyde Park. The decline of the building is because of office management period. Many tenants complain, but nothing is done. Also there retention/turnover rate is nuts. People tend to not stay. City Hyde Park is a excellent choice for Luxury Apartments. Try Mac Properties, they have reasonable prices, up to date apartments, better management. They seem to be more professional and hire people that understand how to run a building and not young inexperience individuals.
I moved to Chicago last year and have not regretted my choice of apartments. The buildings and common areas are very well maintained and the majority of the staff is friendly and helpful. My apartment is not fancy but it is clean and comfortable at a decent price. The location is wonderful with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The staff provide extras that help make this feel like home like a summer bbq and winter holiday party for residents. I would not hesitate to recommend Twin Towers to others.
This apartment is a diamond in the rough, meaning that the location is close to several CTA lines and Metra stations that saves a bundle for commuting in any part of the Chicago area . This building has 22 floors that allows residents to appreciate window lake views that will take your breathe away after a hard day of work. Easy access to the best lake fronts located in Chicago and a urban feel that will sweep you off your feet each time you enter a historic park district of the Hyde P ark Community . Twin Tower Apartments are non modern but has a historic feel that allows residents to appreciate the historic culture of Hyde Park
